Can we confirm the KV and KV3 free slot change in 6.4?

I'm not surprised. Anything within three feet of you seems to end up full of knife shaped holes.

KV-13 has a rather weak gun selection, making it arty-killer on steroids.

I'm working to my way to T34 (US), which gonna be the "free" premium.

KV-5 has weakspots - driver and machinegunner towers in front. Also gun is quite weak for its level.

    Lowe is ungodly slow.

Lowe is ungodly awesome. It's no slower than other heavies I've played, and it has *the* best long 105 in the game.

I've heard Lowe does only 20 kph average. It is hard to change flanks mid-game. Please share credit farm details on Lowe?

I get up to 30km/h on flat surfaces.

  8. #558
    Sure

also even you defeat it can get 70k credits (really depend on what you doing in battle tho)

Edit: kv-5 is not bad also in making credits

I reviewed the v0.6.4 tech tree and was suprised to see that they made a switch that doesn't line up with the new tree ya'll showed at some point. I think they basically did this to introduce the Pz38NA. I was going the (using future line) Pz 2,3a,3,3/4,3001H,Panther route, but with today's tree, it screws me up because the Pz 3 is still under the PzIV headed towards the Tiger instead. Should I just restart the new light line that consists of Pz35,Pz38,Pz38NA,Pz3/4 or just stick with working my way through Pz3? I am grinding slowly so I expect it will take a few weeks to get through Pz3.

Another topic, did they nerf starting engines or was the hetzer always that dirt slow? I had a city map, i.e. paved roads, where I couldn't get over 20 kph. This made me throw money at 1st engine upgrade to make it more bearable. In the past, I was usually able to stomach slow speeds because I liked to hang back and snipe on most of my vehicles. If they did this across the board, that will change my tech plans.

Yea the stock Hetzer has always been super slow. With the tree split, its up to you, if you want the German heavies, just keep with the Panzer II line. If you want the mediums, start the 35(t) line. You can swap over with the VK3001 (H) but its an extra tier six tank to grind.

The Lowe is a credit maker no matter what. Two kills? 40-50K profit. I can't see losing money on it ever. Unless you shoot all your rounds and hit nothing. It does have the best 10.5 out there. Monster gun, and the front is monster to pen. I saw a whole team shot at a Lowe and every round bounce off the front. Of course it's just like the easy one you will be seen alot of them now.

Well considering how terrible most premium tank users are, they do need every little bit of help they can get. Its very rare that I see a premium tank being played well.

You need to see us playing. Two Lowe and one Grill = 2/3 enemy team dead. We would cover eachother and take turns shooting. It was very fun. Even with losses we win with credits. So far have not hit the 100K mark, but I will today probably. Still only at 76% crew too heh.

I have to say I'm not planning to use too many of my other guys anymore. Lowe is now the money maker and exp maker. It's my new fav tank too. It out damages my KT(Of course the Baby Maus is going to be my hopeful fav).

I have no idea what kind of Lowes you've been shooting, you can easily front penn one with 8.8cm L/71, add insult to injury by doing it with Konigstiger and mauling him up close.

Got to love the target priorities of most artillery. One of the heavy tanks rushing your base? Feh, not worth the shot. 5% low tier medium tracked in front of three team mates? Kill it with premium shells and we win the game!

I just read the announcement last night that Clan Wars goes active today. Basically it said you could start picking your territories after the maintenance today. Did Dolts ever get set up? I tried searching tank companies, but never found the group. I'll be out of pocket this weekend, but I would like to join up at some point. I'm currently only tier 3 & 4 so I would be a willing sacrificial scout for now.

The US does, it's Relic Dolts. We have 14 members we need a couple more so we can get the 15 on to start clan wars tonight. I plan to have the baby Maus tonight as well.

Bad news Colt you must be using Tier 5 tanks, it is a requirement by the Clan Wars, 15 tanks in a company all have at least used tier 5 or higher tanks once in their games.

    Apparently the AMX-50:

Something like 2 seconds gap between each shot with clip reloading time of 45-60 seconds.
    Excuse me for a moment.

  20. #570
I think that will be one awesome tank, basically bursting down anything then hiding for a while, i can only imagine how awesome a platoon of those would work, either covering each other while they reload or simply alpha striking everything they have to melt anyone stupid enough to face them ^^
    *puppies*

I'll burn through the hetzer as soon as I get the 10.5 gun to get the stug. I was hoping to put off buying the Lowe until they had some special on because paying $36.00 for a single digital tank seems ridiculous to me. Would that count towards the requirement or does it need to be regular tanks?

It should count. Good news guys with the start of Clan wars the first 24 turns we can drop to any provident not just landings. We can try to nab a juicy location for us to bunker down and hold.

Colt if you want to join Relic Dolt send your application in and I'll accept you.

Update: Odd and weird news. If you use a tank in a Clan Match, it may be locked for 24 hours. This was semi confirmed by Overlord, people are still getting clarification on this. (You can only do one move, attack or defense per 24 hours.)

Well I just bought the 7500 gold, but I won't get off work till later to go play one match with the Lowe so that I qualify. I tried looking up the rules, but the web pages were being real slow. Where exactly would I go to do the application? Is it on the web page or the game menu somewhere?

My main grinding is going towards German Med (only need silver for Pz III) and German TD (just got new Hetzer). If their death rounds last long enough I will probably push to my Tiger again as a 3rd line.

I'm hoping my Lowe will fast track my silver earnings like I've been reading here and on the WOT forums. I hope the developers don't nerf them because that's the only reason I bought it. The reports I've been seeing are that profits can range from 7,000 to 200,000. I'm not on premium so I hope I can at least net 100,000 a few times each week to help with the grinding.

"According to the rules of Ultimate Conquest, armored forces of different clans are represented as chips, the number of which equals the quantity of players in the clan who played at least one battle on any vehicle of tier 5 or higher."

So in the web interface it will not allow you to be added to the chips.

Oh its a money maker alright. The worse I ever did was break even(yes it can happen I shot 12 shots missed them all and then had a 0% tank. which made a full draw). The best I have done is 130K which was a 100K profit. It's really good for this.

Without prem it would get you half that so you may possibly lose money if you had a horrible game. You will make 50K and higher with a good games and 25K profit on average games. It is a very good money maker, did you play beta at all? The game style is different.

  25. #575
The application you were talking about earlier, where can I get to it? I was planning on getting home, using the Lowe one time, joining the clan so ya'll can get the neutral territories, then heading out on vacation for the weekend.

I played up up to the Tiger in the beta before I got burned out and disappointed in how the Tiger was always matched up against 1944-1948 tanks when I was hoping to be top tier in several matches.

What are you referring to on the game style? Beta vs Now? I really haven't noticed a difference. I know they introduced some matchmaking patches late-beta that made the tier battles better for most cases. Ironically, the latest patch broke it per some posts I've been reading.

If you were talking about the Clan Wars, I wasn't even aware that it had a beta. My knowledge on it is that it appears to be similar to the Total War series with armies (with probably your choice of tank per battle) that clash or move per turn.

Go to the world of tanks web site. Type "Relic Dolts" and then in there click on it, you will see join clan.

I was referring to the the general game style of the Lowe. Meaning it's got a very odd way. It can snipe, but the speed and accelicration is un-par to an none-upgraded KV. It's very very slow to get up to speed. More also on prem vs none-prem, how the credit output can be very different. Without prem the lowe can in some cases lose you money if you had a bad game like mine(shot 12 times no damage what so ever, darn you lag!). It can on average make you money easy, just got to remember keep out of artillery windows.

Well then it looks like the requirement for Clan may be tier 5 or higher tanks only. Wow that kind of locks out scout tanks all together. Odd.

I was curious about SPGs and how they effect gameplay, so I started writing down data from all of my battles. The hope is that I'll have some statistical data about how they choose targets, who is most likely to get shot, etc.

I made a more detailed post about it on the forums here, but there seems to be little interest (at least around the time that I posted it). Would anyone here be interested in this, or perhaps helping me with it?

So adding things up it clicks to me, the KV5 has the same armour hull front as the baby maus. Wow. I really, really wish they would give tank specs and then show what true slope adds as well. Example 170(200). Giving just the front specs without what the slope gives is stupid.

  30. #580
That figure would only ever be useful if you are staring straight at the enemy tank and he's aiming perfectly at the center of your hull. In practice, that doesn't happen very often. I also think it would be misleading, suggesting to players that there is a static "armor value" for a given point of the tank, rather than a plating value modified heavily by the trajectory of the shell

Ok after I get the baby maus. I plan to nab the Panther. Almost all the stuff I have unlocked with the TD and Heavy line has something for the Mid line. Means I only have to unlock the tank itself hehe. I have to say going so deep into a tree does help spread later on. I don't plan to spend anymore exp on gold after getting the baby maus. That was my final Goal. Unlocking it means even with the tree split I can choose either without so much worry.

Spoon: It would at least give a base from what from the front you could expect(many times we end up front to front so having this info would help). Some general numbers would still be better then NONE.

I would much prefer an explanation in the manual of how to calculate effective armor based on slope; that would probably be more helpful.

Meh. Until they make some sort of tier balancing system for clan battles I don't see myself playing it. We wouldn't be competitive without a bunch of people in top tier heavies.

We can cap any location. All locations are open most of them don't even have clans doing a landing which means we would auto keep it...

But we would lose them shortly thereafter, yes?

Each clan can only do one action every 24 hours. You can either move, attack or defend. So if you cap one that not allot of people care so much about you can hold it pretty easy.

I've got the Kamikaze achievement on my ISU-152 yday, that was hilarious, I was charging their base at 42 kph since ours became to dangerous to protect anyways, so some mad T-54 driver ran into my side suddenly busting out from the rocks. We both didn't see each other until the collusion. He had like 23% and exploded. Now I got another nice achievement for my Raider one.

I got my Raider in a odd (or lucky ) way with my T34 by 1 vs 1 in random match with a Panther II so instead to kill each other, we try to see who cap each other base the fastest and i win.

    Edit: Finally got my T30

My computer a gaming laptop i5 4gb ram with hd5850 card shut itself off after overheating or something while playing this game. Even when I turn down the grahics. It runs them fine on medium have 60+ fps but still game seem to overheat my computer (it's not overclocked). Love the game but can't buy premium with these sort of problems.

edit: I still can play a good 6-10 battles before computer just shut down. But I notice it really heats up my cpu.

  42. #592
Maybe buy one of those external cooling fans to help cool it down or maybe computer driver related ?.

  43. #593
I got the KV yesterday, i forgot how utterly shit it is when it's stock.Need to suffer some more, atleast untill i get the 122 gun.
And it doesn't help that i keep getting put in games as a top tank against upgraded KV's and other T5 tanks :I

I preferred the long 76 over the 122 on my KV. But really its more because of my play style though. I only use the 152 on my KV because its so hilarious.

BTW: I don't know for certain, but it seems that the commander's copula on the Lowe seems to be a weak spot. I was penetrating one with my 57mm... Not that it really helped only doing 1% damage a shot.

Edit: And apparently removed speed gov. isn't actually consumed, so other then the costs you incur from the engine damage, you only need to buy it once.

The removed speed governor only gets consumed if it breaks your engine, if it works the same as in beta. I could have it permanently turned on on my T-44 and it never broke.

Just got my Löwe today and I must say, I love it! However I only seem to get fail teams with it. won like 10 out of 30 matches... All due to idiot teams.

yeah. i've been really down on my luck.
My T32, Loove and M6A2E1 seems to collect idiot teams
    or i just suck.
    yeah, i probably just suck

I have been like that for a while, until today, five battles, all five great victories, one even had us doing 15-0 and in another one i got myself quite a few kills and a nice sum of cash and xp while i was driving the Lee in a rather high tier battle ^^

Oh yes. Fail teams. Like driving your T34, and noticing that all the other team has is a single M7 and 75mm Panzer IV compared to yourself and another T34. So your team then decides to suicide against them and you're left alone against six tanks and four tank destroyers who promptly rush you and peck you to death.
