Nuri, i suggest you give it a try without gold simply because its free
while the lower tier tanks are weak and get pulled into unfair battles
the grind through those isn't all that bad and you get to see some of the game-play of the higher tier tanks.

I got up to the KV-13 (tier 7) without paying any monies. Its certainly possible to get to even tier 10 without paying, but IMHO World of Tanks isn't a game about grinding. Having higher tier tanks is nice, and necessary if you want to do clan wars, but otherwise you should just play the game because you enjoy it.

You should also point out that Hasegawa Effect guy has a massive OCD for collecting tanks, a majority of that cash was spent buying limited edition tanks, and additional garage slots.

He's the only hardcore RD member who hasn't reached Tier 9 simply because he doesn't sell his tanks after unlocking the next one up.

so i'm doing the math, by the time I can purchase gold again (22 days), I will have 752k exp (worst case) saved up.
This means I can grab an elite Panther II and have some modules on the Panther unlocked too.
I also want that T34 free slot too
this means i have to grind up 8million credits.

I want to do this before the German tree shift in patch 6.6 slated for july-august.
Since we are receiving patch 6.5 rather late in this month, i reckon i do have a month's window

With this I should get four free slots, plus three new tanks. ^^

No way in hell I'll be able to get the US tanks. I have not unlocked the Sherman 4. I have T1 unlocked but that is all... I will get a T29 just for that turret fun. Once I get those free slots of course.

You remeber those games as a T3-4-5-6 tank where either you, your enemy or both teams have a KV-3 on teir team, a nearly invincible death machine that everyone including arty is afraid of.Well i got my KV-3, and this was one of the reasons, that invincibilty, murderosity and generall awesomeness, even though you are slow as a turd rolling uphill.But so far i have never been placed in a match where i was anywhere near the top and thus i have not been able to enjoy the russian OP crap at all, so fuck you both matchmaker and WG for not letting me expiriance OP tanks under my control like every other player out there -.-

I love heavy slow tanks. Maus is a easy target when in the open. Of course those who play long enough will learn to keep in the shadow of buildings and hills. City fights are Maus's fun time as they don't have to worry about art anymore.

I got screwed on the X5 yesterday=\ Got home too late from work. The X5 was done and they didn't let my new doubles count. Alas. Oh well. Still having fun with this game. They MUST get more then just a 3 people platoon though, it just is needed for larger groups dang it!

Low tier arty that is found in most of these matches can't really do much to that thing, and as pointed out any sane driver would keep his metal arse in cover if he knows arty is watching him.

The KV-3 can be found in games with tier 5-6 SPGs, which tear through it. Even tier 4 SPGs don't tickle.

It can be found with even T7's i think, but the point is that in low tier matches where it's the top tank you will rarely if ever see a T5 spg, and most T4's aren't that dangerous to it, sure they can ruin your day but they have to be extremely lucky to do so.

WHOA WHOA WHOA! ok i have a few problems with this one hiro

1. It's fucking awesome to be me anyone aspiring to be like me is investing in a worthwhile endeavor.

2. I had to take a vacation from tanks due to real life issues otherwise I would have a Ferdi, a T23 and maybe a GW panther by now.

3. I love variety so I go down 5 trees at once XD, this kinda has spread out my achievements in game.

4. I HATE MMO's but I have been playing tanks for close to a year because in my mind there is no grind in this game since it is actually FUN to kill other people and doesn't always boil down to who has put the most time in playing the game. So I don't view this as an MMO so much since I don't feel like I am climbing a ladder.

There is no other chat room other then Mumble and the clan chat really. Clan chat only works while not in a fight so it's only there to communicate when required. Otherwise most of our chat is in Mumble. Promise you will not regret it if you join Relic Dolts.

Well the reason I don't want to join a clan is because the only reason I would join a clan is to partake in Clan Wars, and if I'm going to do that I'll be joining one of the Something Awful goon clans: StuG Lyfe, Marder She Wrote or No Dumb Pubbies. A good clan to try and join happens to own a lot of the minimap
If you look at the Clan minimap, you see that Iron Raiders (US server) owns a significant portion of eastern europe.
I have had several company battles with them, and they're a good bunch to play with.
I even have TS3 installed in case i even wind up in a company with them
However they are full of veteran players, making it hard for people they don't know to join their ranks
I once did get an invitation from them during one match, but turned it down because RD is just so much better

IN OTHER NEWS I just got the T-44 and am on my way to the T-54 which is kind of a problem because speed and mobility turns me into a god damn clown car driver. Use my speed and mobility to take up good firing positions and relocate? Yeah, the t-44 gets 1 shotted really easily
It usually happens anytime someone hits your turret while you are running at full speed
or peaking over a hill
Wet Ammo Rack is pretty much a must if you play your tank aggressively
beyond that, it's probably the most well rounded Tier 8 mediums

Aynone who says that the Easy 8 sucks should have their balls cleaved off by a rusty steel press.It is the only tank i was willing to sell my Sherman for, and while that bastard will be missed greatly he is more than made up for by the box of fun the E8 is, and i only hope the T20 is more of the same
