Yes, they should, but you might end up getting some missing .rgm blue boxes ingame. Just test it.

1.4 don't work...volks are all wearing helmets, no randomnizatin and have purple face, legs and hands
same with many other units
i'm now going to try it with 1.5+no expansions
#103
oh, havent seen that.. I guess without OF or ToV installed, that wont work.
just to update this, and give a sign of life for the skinpack: they are almost done, except for some british and hell of a PE surprise...
I just seriously lack time to sort all of them out.
but as a small teaser, the recent version of the Fallschirmjagers, Tankdestroyer did some real voodoo with the model:
4 different jumpsmocks ( 2 Splinter B versions, plain grey and Tan & Water camo ) and 2 different helmets combine to 8 variations alltogether.
All applied randomly , so it will be hard to have one squad look like the other.
.
#104
It indeed is good to see some life for v3! Hopefully you are able to finish the package relatively soon.
#106
Exciting ! And here i had thought you out of the count :P
I m verry happy to see this thread alive again. (:
@HT the falls look amazing! love them!
but there is something that i havent seen yet on any fallschirmjaeger skin,a camouflage helmet cover ,something like this
Spoiler
And one more thing.I have a problem with the volks, they have no faces only eyes and helmets. It happens every time on every squad member ,only the leader is fine since he is not using the same model mix.
I am little confused because no one alse has reported this problem so far, wich means only i am having this problem?
And i am using them as they were provided.

from here its hard to tell whats going wrong...
edit: whoops, I just realized that the hand of the soldier on the right features a face texture. now THATs weird...

Image doesn't seem to be working mister halftrack :/
#110
Now thats a Fallschirmjager! and damn you work fast
Abaut the volks, maybe the UV is mess up?
I may try to fix it for my self by removing the volks faces from the .diff texture and use PE assault grenadiers face instead.
Will report the result.
#112
honestly, I had the helmet cover in stock.![]()
#113
Now that looks coolCurious to see what you will do with the Luftwaffe ground troops.
GIEF SKINS!!!
Halftrack i hope you will finish this soon, awesome work can't wait to use your skinpack!!
@Halftrack
are you going to release PE textures one by one when they are ready or we have to wait for the pack to be done ?
#116
I hope one by one. Certainly looking forward to getting my hands on the Panzer Elite one![]()
#117
Indeed, the PE skins will be well worth the wait, but i've very curious about what Halftrack might have planned for the Commonwealth. Back in his old OF Preview Skins pack the PE got completely reskinned, but the Commonwealth missed out, only having their team colours removed. So i'm very curious what they'll end up looking like.

#120
Very nice!! And is that Tankdestroyer's MkIII helmet the guys in the first screenshot are wearing?
The entrenching tool handle still needs to be reskinned, it should be light brown wood with a metal fitting at the thick end. Colouring the wood the same shade as their rifles or a bit lighter would be suitable.
I'm in love. Oh my god, those commonwealth skins are amazing. Good job mate!
#122
Those commonwealth troops looks great indeed! Well done mate!
#123
Awesome skins but one thing for the Canadians. The Royal Regiment of Canada served with the 2nd Canadian Division which wear a Navy Blue rectangular patch and were mostly out fitted with Mk.II Helmets. Those skins are currently 3rd Canadian Division which landed on D-Day so i'd change the shoulder titles to one of the Regiments that served with the Division. Something like Royal Winnipeg Rifles, but bare in mind if you do them for example, you need to have the Black and Green rank chevrons.
Awesome, it would be so cool if you did a winnipegs rifles skin, i am currently ,making a missions mod where you follow them throughout normandy![]()
#126
hehe. Sounds like you're giving him more work :P
how can install only allies tank crew? can u post files only for that. thx![]()
Halftrack,
Might there be a chance of seeing Wehrmacht skins where they don't have flipped up collars and look like their uniforms are padded with tissue paper? I know that's the look Relic opted for originally, but it looks silly and it's really not suitable for spring, summer or fall in Western Europe. All the maps are done for these seasons - baring BoTB maps of course![]()
#130
^ well some of the Relic models, like the Volksgrenadier model, look pretty normal, and do not look like the padded-out Wehrmacht model that Mirage Knight described. Even the torso of the Tankbusters would be useful, as their pretty much the only german unit that is modelled wearing a camouflage smock instead of a tunic or winter parka.
Slayerkneckt put together a skin pack a while back that used Volks as a base for just about everything, including grens and mortar gunners. Good results too![]()
hey halftrack, is there anyway i can use only one volksgrenadier model from your skinpack? btw i just bought vcoh of the internet and your volksgrenadier's have purple faces. little help would be nice.
#133
no, its not possible, unfortunately. it is one model which makes use of different skins.
Halftrack, is there anyway to use the vehicle crew skins(the black one for example) for PE vehicle crews and make it work online?
"To think ill of mankind and not wish ill to them, is perhaps the highest wisdom and virtue."
No, as the vehicle crews use the Panzer Grenadier model if I recall correctly.
#136
Thank you. It's very good![]()
Any news on the commonwealth skins? A little curious because I am dying to try them outAre the turtle helmets only for mods by the way? As in, do I have to download the infantry w/ turtle helmets that (I think) Loran Korn made?
#140
as I will restart working on the infantry skins finally, I will of course lay emphasize on the commonwealth, too.
turtle helmet will be in, one plan was to have bot ( Mk II and III ) appear randomly. lets see.
btw: is there anyone here, who is familiar with the tons of british hat badges? of course I want to use the correct ones in the pack,
but its really hard to find those, if you start researching almost from scratch. ;P
#141
Looking forward to your Panzer Elite work as well![]()
Halftrack, could you possibly just add one version of the CW pack with MK II and one with MK III? As I don't think any divisions or regiments used a mix, I don't know that as a fact, just basing it off what I do know. And sorry, If I knew anything of british hat badges I would help.
#143
Yes, there might, I totally forgot. A while ago I made some skins for Panzerlehrdivision Grenadiers, who wore the Tankers jacket in fieldgrey during the Normandy campaign.
Those two could be a solution. I could just release them.Guess they are quite bored on my HD anyway. ^^
![]()
Lehr Uniforms? Sweet! Now Panzer Elite can be properly uniformed![]()
![]()
@HT The panzer Lehr grenadiers look amazing.i would love to use them.
i guess i can use the camouflaged pants from WH v3 skin pack (Splinter and marsh pattern).
#146
@Halftrack: Not quite, they wore a new pattern uniform, sort of the same one as some Volksgrenadiers who actually got it also woreThey were basically field-testing the uniform which was a response to diminishing resources. Looks great though
![]()
Not surprising considering that "Lehr" was formed from instructional and training units that were also used to evaluate new equipment and tactics.
In every single photo I've ever seen of Lehr PzGren units in Normandy / France, the personnel all wore that wrap tunic. Not just the infantry elements of the Division, but also halftrack crews as well. The shoulder straps had Lehr's distinctive "L" divisional symbol on each one: white on a dark green background.Another unique feature of this formation was that its panzergrenadiers for a large part were dressed in the grey, short, double- breasted tunic similar to the one worn by Sturmgeschütze units, instead of the standard M1942 tunic worn by other German Army (Heer) units.
On a side note, by mid 44 the tunic was being issued to Pioneers and Panzergrenadiers in other units as well, albiet in sparing quanties. At the time, Lehr was the only unit to use the tunic in large quantities.
Proper PE grens? Ahhh good old Halftrack...yes plz!
R.I.P MrScruff-A very talented and valued friend who is sorely missed
#149
Well Panzer Lehr panzergrenadiers would be .. pretty damn awesome![]()
#150
Well, I think we have a little misunderstanding here. The Lehrs are meant for the Wehrmacht, as the Panzerlehrdivsion was a Wehrmacht unit.
Just as an addon, or to replace Wehr Grenadiers.
PE will be as strictly Waffen-SS as "Axis" is strictly Wehrmacht.
Ok, some good news and some bad news:
Good news, I will release some hopefully nice and brutally random PE Grens. Bad news, its still some work to do on them.
Good news, all the others are finished. More good news, I am going to release the PE pack very soon, but with ( bad news) yet standard PE Gren model
and publish the totallyueberrandomnocollar PE Grens later.
