im sure i changed it to DXT5 in corsix. seriously, im only trying to change the helmet color of volksgrenadierSV.rgt without messing up anything. is there any simple way to do this?

i dont understand what the problem is. just open the dds in Photoshop/Gimp, edit it, save it as dxt1 or 5 WITH alpha and mipmaps ,convert the dds to rgt in corsix and everything should be fine.

If I modified the Panzer Lehr uniforms to be used for the Blitzkrieg mod, would it affect online play? I'm only asking because that mod doesn't really use sga files for art.
Halftrack, could you please explain how to make the Lehr panzergrenadiers work for panzer elite. Readme says to place pgrenadier to panzerelite/soldiers, but there is nothing named pgrenadier in the rar file I downloaded. What should I do?

I followed the steps from readme,added the Pgrenadier from the rar file you provided me with,but I get a missing RGM blue cube in-game for panzergrens of PE. I zoomed inside the cube and I could actually see the soldier's skin but with no rifles. Any ideas on that?
That means that the rifle's line in the ABP is probably mispelled, to fix it just go into the abp and change it to the correct path.

So is Halftrack saying that in the final release the PE tank crews will actual have online compatible attribute files?

Anyways no I don't think so @FieldMarshalPF, the Panzergrenadiers model is used for all non-doctrinal infantry (aside from assault grens model) and this includes vehicle crews etc. It uses the same abp as Panzergrenadiers which means whatever the panzergrenadier is the tank crews are the same thing...
Also, I hope Halftrack releases those canadians, I made some really dull versions of the same division as he uses for his canadians but I was just hoping to use mine as a place-holder but they've become a permanent solution by the looks of it

Funny. The soviets of EF mod ARE my skins.At least most of them.
Halftrack my friend, I have to insist, nay demand, that you finish the Brits before you even entertain other requests.
Every time they go into battle, my poor poor Tommies are in tears constantly because everyone else got a sweet "Halftrack makeover", and they're still stuck in the same rags they've been wearing for years. It's terribly demoralizing!

I only have one question at this point in time. Is there a way you could upload the Tommy RV without the variation of the "Rifle Grenade" version? It's quite annoying to have regular squads waltzing around with 2/6 men without backpacks for some reason. My only other problem would be the facemasks the Expert Engineers wear, they seem to be invisible.

oh right, the facemasks, totally forgot abot them. Guess I will update this.
As for the Tommy Rolevariation thing, just maneuver to your Data/Art/Models/Races/CW/Soldiers
folder in Explorer, and delete or rename the "tommy. abp". that should remove it.

I personally like the backpack/no pack RV, it adds more realism to the game I would think. I'm pretty sure wearing the backpacks was common but occasionally soldiers wouldn't wear them (like the american airborne Halftrack has perhaps?) I have seen some pictures of canadian/british infantry wear some men don't have the packs on, usually it is like a sergeant or someone who is not wearing their backpack. The best picture I could think of as an example on such a short notice is this one from ManuGod's mod.
I'm not too sure on the equipment worn by the commonwealth once the troops got it, I have seen some weird setups made custom by the soldiers on the battlefield to their uniforms before so...

But yeah anyways I just wanted to throw that out there, I guess it is a personal preference and you could just do as Halftrack suggests, because I think in vCOH the tommies don't have an ABP or something and the model/rgm and everything are loaded directly and so by deleting Halftrack's newly made Tommy.abp it will once again load the original RGO from vCOH which just loads the regular soldier with no randomization whatsoever, but I do suggest you take the RGO from Widowmaker1's tommies if you want them to have a RV where they switch between steel helmets (MKII) and steel helms w/ netting and foliage on their helmets.
in fact when soldiers were on the way for an assault, or when they were suddenly attacked by the ennemy, they only use their uniform, let their backpack behind'em to freed their movments

I guess we all know that it adds realism, to have varieties of equipment, but personally I am a little
unhappy with the Random RV, too. The Equipment is bound to their upgrade, which is nice for distinction,
which is now lost.
My main concern with the Tommies is the same like with the PE Grens.. one model/skin
used for almost everything. Mortar gunners, Drivers, MG Gunners, Tankcrews,
( okay, at least the British have a commander ) , everything. So at least a little varietey in
uniform shading , rank insignias, headwear and stuff would have been great, and thats
what I planned ..

It simply looks odd for me to see a good chunk of a squad with Backpacks and then two Scottish men without them. It would simply be one or the other, you wouldn't tell part of your squad to drop them and leave the rest on the rest of the men's back if everyone has the same kit.
Is there a certain file that manages the Facemask so that I could overwrite the rest of the skin and keep the facemasks working for now?
Fellas, it seems to me that Halftrack allowed us to download a WIP version of his Commonwealth skins because he's got too much RL stuff on his plate and doesn't have time to work on the project (and to get people like me to finally stop begging lol).
Let's simply say "thank you" and not make more further demands on his time.
I was just wondering what file enabled/disabled the Facemasks; No rush or pressure to him to do anything I just would like to use his Sappers and not have invisible Facemasks. They're probably the best CW skins I've ever seen though, so kudos to Halftrack for being nice enough to release them WIP!
