Freelancer

So, I have a vested interest in this, but still, I'm fairly curious: has anyone here tried out one of the many mods for Freelancer?

I'm looking for thoughts regarding the mods, the organization, etc.

Well, I've played quite a few Freelancer mods over the years, but the only one I did extensive Multiplayer on was Discovery.

Was fun for a while on their main server, but the community started to go down the tubes recently, so I would recommend one of the smaller ones if you want to do Multiplayer.

Other mods I can't speak for Multiplayer wise, but a couple of others like Crossfire seem to be good. Freeworlds: Tides of War isn't out yet but right now it's the only thing in Freelancer I'm still looking forward to, given the major overhauls they're doing to the engine.
