    Released!!! World Builder Manual v1.0

    Hey Everybody,

The Manual has been finally released as a .pdf file. After a lot of hard work with help from other members it is here at last.

The Manual is around 95% Complete The other 5% are TBC (To Be Confirmed) and some functions which aren't available to us.

The TBC areas of the manual that are filled in eventually will be added for a new version of the manual which I'll update when there is a significant amount of material to warrant an update.

If any members know what these TBC are about you can post it here...but I have a couple of requirements if you do so..

1st Which Chapter it is in
2nd What page # it is on
3rd The # listed on the Image

The biggest gap in the Manual at the moment is the NIS Editor (Which could eaisly have a manual of its own)

First I'd Like to thank the following members for helping out.

    Nobody
    AverageJoe
    Lethal Dosage
    Sando and
    Kapp'n

And of course Relic Entertainment for making this game that we all love

Heres a preview Image of the .pdf

And The Linky to the Manual

Enjoy and Happy Mapping and Modding to all!!!

No there isn't...I use to be with Shaw as well. Shaw is like that every so often. Mediafires a good site. Maybe a pop up at most.

Platton your welcome I know how much you been waiting for it.

Thanks Grab and Kapp'n!!! Thanks for the sticky!!!

    It was my pleasure Celéstial

    And thank-you everyone

Edit: I just wanted to say why I put this together aside from helping out new mappers, A big reason was the Toots available on this site. The concept is One can take this manual go to the link for a toot and then use the two hand in hand, and as a result further and better understand how to use the editor.

So with that in mind...If any members out there create a toot for WB please let me know. Ill keep the http:// path on a text document on my computer. When I get enough toots to warrant an update Ill place them in the manual. I figure at least 3 to 5 would warrant an update.

Hopefully will see that Toot section expand as well.

    Sweet

Great work indeed bergy68 and crew....I noticed in the manual that you guys thought that perhaps the "Import Height Map" function was only for Relic, but actually, one can create their own height maps based off of actual USGS Digital Elevation Models (DEMS) to import (or other ways too I would imagine), which, in my own opinion, saves a ton of time compared to fleshing out a pretty diverse model within worldbuilder. I utilized 3dem to make a map of my home and the surrounding area, which has some pretty diverse elevation changes and though one has to add a few final touches, it is much simpler than just using the worldbuilder. If you would like to see the map I made in this way, check out "The Road Home V2" Here: www . strategyinformer . com /pc/ companyofheroes /downloads .html

P.S. I would have already posted this over here, but my "7 day bot check" isn't up yet, lol, which is why the above link looks the way it does. Just take the spaces out and put it together to go there..

I helped? Really? I don't remember helping your out with this Bergy, have i been sleep modding again? :P

Took a peek, and the manual looks really good, and very detailed too, with enough screenshots to be helpful, but plenty of text to explain exactly what is being discussed/explained in the images. I know this is something that was in the works for some time, and it certainly shows. Good work!

Ahh, so i helped with some Ingame Console Commands. I can't image how they helped you in WB and in writing this Manual, but i'm sure you know better than me what you found helpful.

Hi, do I have to open the pictures one by one in Photo Shop? Because that is what I'm doing ATM and it is very inconvenient XD

ChickenNuggets, No its a pdf document all you need is adobe reader x or earlier should work as well.

Yup you did LD I'm sure someone will find the Ingame Console Commands useful. Maybe not in WB, but maybe when testing out there map.

thats sweet johnathan thanks for posting that.
