No beta yet, have been updating files due to recent patch n trying to make compatible with DLC stuff (pre heresy termies breaks some DLC)
have made some new marine bits inspired by the space marine game, n have been staring at the contemptor dread willing it to animate itself. its rigged now to biped and movement seems ok in basic tests.
might chuck out some stuff b4 xmas unrelated to mod for some folks to use if interested

LC thanks if you wanna so stuff santos model editor is a start as is copes tool if u fancy doing your own adjustments to game. no real updates, done some minor stuff in between playing bloody space marine and have begun the animation process though will have to add some more bones to the skeleton due to stretchy model problems but yep animations are a right repetitive pain in the arse but am sure once i get the hang of it things will go along quicker...i hope
looking good my freind.i got my ba mod fixed now the tyranids are now playble.my tm oh wait to you see custume armour im making for him,
on that note he uses tm axe and plasma pistol now,scouts now use knife and bolt pistol,there sgt is all range,ive given him grenade launcher upgrade,all scouts use gean stealer stealth when not in battel they stealth stay that way till they attack.so my stuff and your stuff looking goodbtw great job on your models.

well seems ive managed to delete every model i made in a computer cleanup exercise...damn u cc cleaner, so have got to restart alot of stuff from scratch

Don't know if it's any help but you may be able to recover some of the deleted files, there are some very good recover programs out there as i have done the same on a few occassions. Hope you can as you did some fantastic work. Annoyingly I had a Horus Heresy mod with a load of kitbashed models on it as I was learning as I went, did exactly the same but mine was on a thumb drive and so I losyt it all. Hope it works out for you

luna wolves are now playable as a separate chapter and run fine without breaking the DLC (except steel legion for now)
lots more to do and will eventually be including other pre heresy chapters with unique stuff and hopefully chapter specific gameplay

not sure for gimp but in photoshop save as dds file,,,,simple as that
textures fitting the shape is achieved by uv unwrapping which was painful to do for this model.
off the top of my head for that model i had a dif file saved as dxt1 alpha
nrm dxt1 no alppha
tem dxt5 inter alpha
occasionally the tem file seems to loose the alpha 1 channel not sure how but remedy by duplicating and saving as colour black which may be the case here
any texture you dont use then save as specific default texture in defaults folder

hmmm, i get it showing ok in my mod, ive got fx n actions folders in my mod at the moment may be due to that or are your settings at ultra?

come think of it budy no there not.set on ultra i test on med so quicker loasding.and i got the earthshaker built and replaced the ig heavy droop turrent.the big barrel dont move but if you ug tp plasma cannon it will nove turrent.if you need the model that works let me know and ill send your way budy.
@ Uncle - If you have made custom fx and actions, and you are going to include them in an SGA file using Dekhranic's GUI Archiver, you need to add the *.action and *.bfx file extensions to the archive tool. These file extensions are not included in the default configuration file, so when you are running the game in -dev mode, everythnig will appear to work fine, but when you compres it into an sga, it will not include the .action files in the package. Use the dow2 sga archive tool to check the sga you have created to see if the .action files have been successfully included in the archive.

with rider, no custom animations yet or fx. basically uses chimera animation to drive for now. in fact the model needs some really good skin work as the one i have for now was a quick jo so as to see in game
Are the old school jetpacks done yet? If possible, could you add some chaos wings to the mk1 jetpacks so we can make models for the "warp talons" from the new Chaos codex? They use old-school jetpacks with some chaos elements.

basic version with thruster and heavy bolter.
light armour fast attack, excels at speed in straight lines and is dire in small confined areas (really dire gets creamed in seconds). have added smoke grenades and will be looking at a turbo and a modified leap so it can jump some barriers rather than barge or stop to turn.
Also will be reskining to give better look and extra fx for engine and thruster smoke trails.
Driver will be getting some movement animations also and hopefully in future will carry usable bolt gun in side holster on chassis

been dickin about doing the double barreled assault cannon but cant get good pictures to base my model of. does any one have a link or any piccies of the afore mentioned weapon so i can do it some justice?

That's actually an Autocannon, not an assault cannon. It's the reaper autocannon chaos terminators have, just base it on that.

WIP deathshroud captain (typhon), proving to be a bit of a bugger to rig. not sure about the horn if it should be bigger or less chaosy.

As you're creating models for each legion (or at least some of them) how is the gameplay going to work with selecting each one? Will it be from the army painter like a DLC or through which hero you choose? Rather intrigued.
Also is the thousand sons head available as an .sga or modpack? Would love to make a mini-mod out of that for my Chaos Marines.

right now the mod will work as a basic DLC mod with unit adjustments here n there. all chapters,except UM & DA, will have some differing models but cataphracts for example will be in all chapters.
Im hoping that if promethyus cracks the race ID thing he works on then i can have all chapters with their specific fighting traits.
there will be unique maps with this mod based on battles of the heresy.
there will also be a Geno regiment of imperial guard in game to
thousand sons head? do you mean the khorne beserker head, if so check back n look for the junkyard mod i posted a while back as im sure its in there,

Sounds interesting, if not I guess you could just set it up to have a commander for each legion, like when selecting the Grey Knights in Elite.
