1) Do either of the sorcery marks enhance this thing in any way? As it stands it doesn't mention anything on the wargear selection screen, but I'm just inquiring whether or not there are ninja enhancements.
2) What's a good build for the hellblade?

As far as I can tell, the sorcery marks have effect on weapon abilities alone, seing how the blade has none, I think you have your answer right there
As for a good build, personally I experimented with zelous, doombolt for long range attack when I can't afford to charge and orb of vengance OR the icon, unshakable armor with that and the first commander item that nets you more HP.
What I actually love about the Hellblade is that I do not HAVE to take a sorcery mark to, well, not-suck. To be fully honest though, each time I take the hellblade, I think I would do better with Doomblast with the second mark for added durability. Even without doombolt's insane energy regen, the build is absolutely viable and still kicking arse hard, but that's offtopic and I apologise![]()

Granted I'm only level 10 or so, but this weapon seems bad. Like, comically bad. Do you need to stack damage items to be any good? I tried it with the narcissistic armor and let's just say the damage did not justify the energy drain, much less the disadvantage of not getting a spell from my weapon slot.
Add me on Steam - ArbitUH. Don't EVEN bother adding me on GFWL
Where's me squig ointment reference in my sig... oh
I myself have been meaning to ask a few questions about this.
1. What is this "bonus damage" trait that the weapon has? From what I've seen the weapon feels like it struggles to do the base damage, let alone any "bonus damage" that it is supposed to do.
2. Does the weapon suffer any penaulties if the Sorceror does not have at least 5 energy for the weapon to take?
In my last game I was using the Hellblade in a narasistic build, I assaulted a brood of 3 Raveners, who had previously taken some light damage. My Sorceror was down to ~110 HP when I got in melee but had next to no energy. Considering the weapon is meant to do 30 damage per strike (before armour modification) and Raveners are rarther frail, I assumed my Sorceror could take on that brood of 3, already injured, Raveners. 6 seconds later and my Sorceror was dead, killing non of the Raveners. To add insult to injury, I barely took their HP past half way. Basically, 5-6 strikes with the Hellblade could not fell a single Ravener. Something clearly went wrong here and I would like to know what.
