You never truly know someone...
Until you fight them.
I didn't know about this until recently. May the terrible pun be with you too!
As for Star Wars: I like it. I would say "who doesn't?", but then I realised this is the internet.
Let's sail in this sea of charms
Let's drown underneath the stars

As a connoisseur of stupid puns, I will allow it.
Yeah, agreed. There is nothing so awesome that someone somewhere won't dislike it. I just wish it didn't get converted into a free-range cash cow...

I would much rather see the three books after Return of the Jedi brought to film rather than these 6 rehashed.
That's probably one of the stupidest things i've read in my whole life, and that says a lot... About my memory span. Either way i like Star Wars, not sure what we're supposed to discuss here though, uh, why does George Lucas call the Gungans, "gungas"? Does that mean it's said Gunga and everyone gets it wrong?May 4 is called Star Wars Day (also sometimes known as Luke Skywalker Day) because of the popularity of a common pun spoken on this day. Since the phrase “May the Force be with you” is a famous quote often spoken in the Star Wars films, fans commonly say "May the fourth be with you" on this day.
@ Shuma: Anything and everything Star Wars.
As for the Gungan thing, I swear Lucas is actually going senile. Although I never heard GL refer to them as gungas though. Typo in an interview?

Yay! Now we can look forward to another version of the original trilogy. Has there ever been a brand of movies that has had so many pointless re-releases... and next up is the 3D version...
@Ten Tigers:
No, he always calls them like that, i saw it in this guy's review:

I think on the Episode 1 review, Lucas always goes "so the gungas this and that"

From appreciation of a day that celebrates a geeky culture/universe to ranting about George Lucas in five posts.
New record.
I am an Iron Warrior! Iron Within, Iron Without!
The pun is stupid..
I recently rewatched A New Hope and The Empire Strikes back... go nostalgia (if I'm allowed to call it that, I wasn't around for the original releases).
Out of curiosity was there ever a "reason" for the Star Destroyers crashing into each other while chasing the Millennium Falcon? Other rather "bsish" moments like AT-AT's being blown up after falling and the Executor crashing have *some* reasoning, but I've never found anything to explain two giant space ships with hundreds of crew members crashing into each other in SPACE while chasing a much smaller ship.
They hadn't turned on their navigation lights.A Jedi did it.

Only a coward would change his course first.
After recently re-watching the original trilogy I can safely say that it's in accordance with the Rule of Cool, as followed by Lucas. If it looks cool, it's in. No matter how bizarre, unlikely or plain ludicrous it may be.Out of curiosity was there ever a "reason" for the Star Destroyers crashing into each other while chasing the Millennium Falcon? Lando tried to warn Han with a "concerned look" when he first met him at Bespin landing pad. "You got a lot of guts coming here, after what YOU pulled." Han didn't catch on and got frozen in carbonite for it...
That's how it happened.

I missed the day, but I am a fan. I watch the Clone Wars Animated Series with satisfaction, eagerly welcome new movies and episodes and I guess I will be mindlessly hooked until my senility. Hey, "it's space" dammit!![]()
