If you did model the 20mm armor plates, it could be an upgrade. Just a thought.
This will have a realistic damage system, right?

That looks fantastic!
Yea, they look amazing. Slayer did a great job on them.
Excellent work, I love their skins. Since you mentioned the Luftwaffe doc, I can't wait to see how their FJs and the other German and maybe even Italian infantry will look. Can we expect updates regarding doctrine details any time soon?![]()
@Aidas2 - Love what you're doing here man, I really do. This might have already been asked, so my apologies in advance if it has, will the Italian forces make an appearence after you've finished the British/Germans?

"Torch Bearer" AKA Leader of European Theater: 1944 Modification (NEW THREAD)
You know, there are models of the early Panzer IV. It just looks unrealistic with the counterweight when in reality the early Panzer IVs (with the stubby cannon) did not have one.
Yea I know, I'm using Elis aufs D as a reward replacement for the F1 stubby. So you can switch between the two, they have same stats for gameplay reasons though, its just personal preference in the end.
@doom44
Nearly all variants of the Panzer IV saw action in Afrika at some point. The counterweight was added from Ausf. E onwards and the L/24 being the main gun up until the Ausf. F2.
Bf109G with JG27 logo?Amazing!

Will the Panzer F2 be in this? It saw action in North Africa in 1942-43.

You make the mod realistically?
Will the forces be broken down into corps (more paint and more markings to vehicles)?
I don't see the eagle on the soldiers' tunic.
I hope for made then some specialities(pith helmet, "Hermann Meyer" cap to luftwaffe soldiers, ...)
![]()
Great lookin gear, can't wait!
Will you stick with the late version sdkft 251 or wil you make a new earlier model?
That means is the modell 251 modell with new skin you showed just a place holder or will it stay?
Will most likely stay. As there's no early war 251 and there are more important vehicles to work on.
Will this have a new campaign? That would be awesome!

Ah. See heretic and you teamed up. Well best of luck. Looks interesting. Albeit a bit dissapointed you didn't put the germans in their tropical uniforms![]()

No?

Best example i could find : http://rallypointmilitaria.com/artic...-tunic-and-kit
Thing was that whoever had the job of figuring out what sort of uniforms were suited for North Africa had gotten the wrong idea and opted for something more green![]()
Looks pretty accurate, it's the only one we have anyway.
The wehrmacht wore rather greenish or brownish dresses in the big part of the books.
http://warandgame.com/2010/06/14/afr...s-infantryman/
The luftwaffe wore sand coloured uniform. The SS wore both of them (rather sand).
and the Germans wear more long trousers
Aidas, if you need some picture, just write.
Thicky that uniforms brand new and off the rack that colour. It has no sun bleaching in it whatsoever. It would look like this after less then a week.
http://www.militarymodelling.com/new...cle.asp?a=5952
I wrote "greenish or brownish". DMz, what you write partly right, it will be colourless only, not sand colour.
Their shirt was sand.
Was anyway for the wehrmacht (extraordinary) white trousers with bone colour tunica and helmet cover uniform too.
and
On your pictures visible "Luftwaffe soldiers in sand coloured uniform".
Hey, I really like the mod but I have 2 questions:
Do you already know how the (non-doctrinal) techtrees wil look like, and if yes could you show them?
What tanks will make an appearance in the mod? <-- If you can't give the full tech tree maybe you can still answer this one.
Sincerely onrAArno.
Will show off the doctrines later and will use the tanks that were used in Afrika, it should be quite obvious which we will use I think.
As far as I know your panzer IV D will be a reward unit for the F1. (At least the recently posted image at moddb says so)
I know this is very early to adress this issue, but I think it would be more interesting to have the F1 as an upgrade for the D.
If I remember correctly the eastern front mod has an upgrad for the T34/76 that after being researched all newly produced T34s are T34/85 instead of T34/76.
Would make gameplay and teching more interesting in my opinion.
If you dont like this suggestion the the F1 and D should at least be dotrine specific.
F1 will be buildable from the get go, Ausf D will be a reward replacemen for it, so the player can choose which to use and both were used and fulfill the same role in the mod. F2 will be a strong, late game call in. F1 won't be a simple tank, it will have it's role and special abilities. The backbone of the Afrika Korps will be the Panzer 3.

Forgot to post this earlier
Panzer IV ausf D
Reward replacement for the preveiously shown ausf F1.
Thx Dmz and Eliwood for the model and Halftrack for the texture.
I meant the non-doctrinal techtree (buildings etc.), do you know those already?
@onrAArno Still working on them, for now we're focusing on getting all the needed vehicles/ weapons ingame.
@RainbowWar Yea, I know, accidentaly saved the ausf D over the F1 :P You can check it out in moddb http://www.moddb.com/mods/company-of...zer-iv-ausf-f1
Can i see the crusader pretty please?
@Aidas2
I think you should add your ModDB page to the first post as well.
I'm really looking forward to this mod, I tried the Arika korps mod, but it were just the normal units reskinned. So I'm really excited to play this mod.
Keep up the good work!
Here's the tank that everyone are so interested in.
The second strongest tank the Afrika Korps get. The first being the Tiger.
Can only be called in from the Panzer Korps Support doctrine. Can be upgraded with a commander.
Thx Tank Destroyer for the commander edit and Halftrack for the texture.
Looks great!
And i suppose the Tiger will be a one use call in also for Panzer Korps Support doctrine?
I remember that chopin did a Mathilda (or was it a valantine) for the italien conflict/la france mod, are you allowed to use this modell and texture too? If yes could already ad it to the first page. Or are you first showing off all the german stuff?
