    Welcome to the ideas factory.

    How does this work?

    If you have a suggestion for Space Marine, post here. The better your post, i.e. the more legible and thought out it is the higher the chance that someone actually reads it and does something about it.

    What should I put in here?

    Any suggestion that you feel would improve Space Marine! Gameplay, graphics, features, dedicated servers, you name it.

    What can't I put in here?

    Rants don't belong in here. Insults don't belong in here. And since this is a suggestion box, discussions don't belong in here either. Once again, do not discuss other people's suggestions please.
    As always, there's no guarantee that the Relic devs will look at the suggestions or implement them into future patches/expansions. They certainly seem to keep an eye on the various online communities, however, and several popular suggestions have been implemented either in patches or in expansions. This thread will serve as an easy reference to any Relic devs that happen to peek in.

    And yes, I stole this from the DoW2 thread.

    Thanks for putting this up Hirm - much appreciated. So on to the suggestions:

    1. I would definitely like to see more weapon options. In particular, it would be nice to see the following added.

    - Flamers added in for the Tactical class. Short range, cone affect with DOT (damage over time) done to anyone within the cone.

    - Power Fists for Assault Marines and Raptors. Slighty faster attack speed but slightly lower damage compared to Thunderhammers and Daemon Mauls. Lightning Claws maybe? When equipped with Lightning claws, the player gives up their ranged weapon for added CC damage.

    - Missile Launchers for Devastators and Havocs. Can fire Frag (AOE blast with moderate damage - good against groups) or Krak missiles (good against a single target) with the ability to lock onto a target after keeping it in your sights for a few seconds. Moderate travel speed so it can't function like a rail gun and so there's a chance to actually dodge the missile.

    2. More maps. Variety keeps people interested in games and playing the same handful maps over and over, no matter how good they are, wears thin after a while.

    3. More armour options - specifically options that DON'T require unlocking or grinding. Again, variety keeps people people playing and players really appreciate the ability to visibly customize their MP characters, not just in terms of colours but also in terms of armour style.

    4. Custom badges. There are indeed a number of badges to choose from by default, but quite a few of us would love nothing better than to really show off our own homebrew SM Chapters / Chaos Warbands. It worked nicely in DOW and it can work here as well.

    5. Dedicated Servers. Give us the tools to help create additional communities for Space Marine and help sustain the game's life and boost its popularity.

    6. Vehicles. Some of us really want to be able to smash (maybe drive?) vehicles - at least in SP.

    7. More MP modes to mix things up. Perhaps something along the lines of "Hunt the Warboss" where two teams are tasked with finding and killing an Ork Warboss for XP. Or perhaps a mode where each team has a player-controlled Sergeant / Aspiring Champion that grants bonuses and the objective is for teams to kill the opposing team's Champion.

    Capes. Impossible to make such things through modding, and i spotted concept art of an ultramarine honor guard marine wearing a cape in a youtube video of a collector's edition unboxing, so it obviously crossed Relic's mind.

    More generic armor options for the customizer, why generic? Because i know that if we get "skin packs" we're not going to be able to customize them, much like in DoW II and with the Ultramarine champion, Black Templar, etc armor sets. That's not to say i don't want skin packs, i want both.

    More weapons, i think we all know we'll get Space Marine 2, this is Relic, and thus it will be better and bigger than the original. But it would be nice if we didn't have to wait 2 or whatever years for the sequel to get stuff like flamers, power fists, etc.

    Another thing that would be pretty cool is if we had more choices on how to play in MP, well not MP MP since it has to be balanced, but it'd be nice if we could just arm our marines in whatever way we wanted in the Exterminatus mode that's coming in october, for example going like Titus with melee weapons and ranged weapons ala Sergeant.

    Desecrate the flag/icon mode, simple twist on the capture the flag mode we all love, you capture the Chaos icon/SM flag, bring it back to your base and torch it to score a point.

    More maps.

    More playable races in MP, i seriously doubt we'd see this in Space Marine but i assume this suggestion box also works for Space Marine 2 and i'd love if we could play as more than Marines and Chaos in MP, the 40k universe is so big and the races are so varied that i find it hard to believe that you can't find equals of the current classes on other races, Orks are pretty easy, that's what Nobs are for. Obviously others would be harder, but the nagain if we had an IG race i don't think Stormtroopers would have a problem dealing damage, iirc they sport the same kind of weapons marines have, plasma guns, melta guns, bolters, etc, only problem is health and the devastator class, unless Ogryns as devastators, or Cyborg Catachans(There's that guy who hip fires a heavy bolter).

    Well, I don't expect Relic to even read this thread but here is my shot at the hope that they do. ( All are suggestions at general gameplay and Single player )

    1. More variety in Armour
    2. Customization of features of Marine ( in SP). Especially the facial features.
    3. More variety in enemies.
    4. More variety in units
    5. Vehicles
    6. Better storyline - I don't understand why do you assume it will be very non-WarHammer like if you don't start with a doomsday plot. Also why all the corny dialogues ? Give the funny and stuck up parts to those that deserve it at certain moments; Listening to them everytime makes my ears bleed. Just to explain my point better Dead Space for starters woudn't have felt out of place at all if the concept was carried into Warhammer Universe with similar gameplay.

    - Actual killstreak rewards please. Something akin to a 8-10 killstreak and you can spawn as a terminator for one life. 15 kill streaks and you can spawn as a dreadnought. 6 killstreaks and it allows you to summon/use a chaos drone/valkyrie air support. Make this usable in a new game mode with new maps (1 or 2 for a start), big map that allows to use these with usable turrets and better layout. I mean more like 40k warzone instead of a small skirmish. If possible allow for more players. Also, yes, I second vehicles. Maybe one predator per team and a Land Raider in the middle (that requires 3 people to properly use, for example, and the first team to get to it obviously takes it).

    To add to my suggestion list:

    - That whole disappearing text thing in the MP lobby can be very annoying and it really needs to go. Replace it with a scrollbar so you can scroll through the chat history.

    - Add in the ability to check challenge / perk / weapon / armour requirements ingame.

    To expand on MK's post#2:

    1. Allow Raptors/ASM to bear a meltagun (dropping the main CC character for a real fast assault role; perfect disruptor loadout)

    3. MkII & MkIII (with helmet variants). Enuff said!
    (Edit: and MkV too, evidently, but Shuma got it covered :P)

    4.b Expanded armour painter palette, much akin to what hangar-8 has done with his DoW2 mod (extra Citadel colour chart, in short). I hear many voices wishing/asking for a complete gradient palette as in DoW1 too.

    7. MP Defense mode à la L4D's Survival / Horde mode as in TLS (which'd make a fine threading from the RTS/RPG-ish franchise to the TPS one).

    1. More maps, I know many of the arguments for and against the reason so few maps are available, but the multiplayer is getting stale very very quickly. Please release more maps.

    2. This is and isn't a problem to do with steam but really the voice chat system. Steam voice chat is just terrible at the end of the day and really it's why I use teamspeak, ventrilio and mumble instead. I don't enjoy having to listen to idiots who don't know how to use the steam system properly and the sound of the game being passed through the mic back to me. Some kind of mute all would be a god send.

    3. The multiplayer lag issues. I know this is a function of peering and etc but being stuck in a game forever and "Waiting for host" or "migrating to new host" in your screen and being unable to quit out, log out, get the hell out of there is a massive issue and not fun.

    4. The challenges window. Please please please put in a number counter next to each challenge. Having to guesstimate where you're at and how many kills you have and how many more you need is irritating as hell. "ok it says I need 30 kills, there's ten boxes so that means it's 3 kills per box and I have 5 boxes." What the hell is that about? It's even worse on the larger challenges, 100 kill streams or 250 kills. I don't even bother with them as trying to work out what 2 and a bit boxes means makes me not care.

    5. This and this is the main major bug bear for me. Let's say I set up a public party. I get 7 of my friends to join. Wheee! Then the game starts, and all of a sudden it's me and my friends and we're playing a 4 vs 4 game. WTF? Also a way to switch parties mid MP game would be nice.

    Really MP felt like it was slapped onto a SP game in a very haphazard way.

    To expand on armours it could be interesting (but, granted, much more intricate and difficult to do especially considering the cobbling up you're enabled with the customizer) to further differentiate them by implementing some Mark-dependent characteristics like weight - and therefore speed - (e.g. MkIII heavier and more cumbersome than MkIV), directional damage (front plates/shoulder layers reducing damage or increasing the armour value).
    I agree this is more a fluff-nutter daydream, but that would lend a very interesting facet to thegame by forcing players too either pick their targets more wisely or to develop a better aim to strike/shoot on weaker parts.

    Concerning MP game modes, after having spent a good hour goofing around with Hangfire and Kresjah shooting ourselves and everyone regardless of teams (apologies to MK and Sparda), we reckoned a FFA mode would be immensely exhilarating and entertaining to cut off a bit from the usual and more focused Seize Ground or team DM.

    Regarding movement and 'stance' implementation, I understand the choice behind constantly tall-standing SM/CSM (one less key/button use, Know No Fear and all that :P) but crouching or a system of cover would have been interesting, quite more especially in MP where some weapons and some maps make it almost implicit that you'd need be more sneaky/hogging to cover. I might know no fear but i'm still a coward. :P
    Impassable terrain/obstacles are also to be considered; i find it very irritating to have my Astartes stopped dead in their tracks by a stone in their way. These guys should at least be able to naturally lift a knee to pass over it, not mentioning the augmentation provided by a power armour...

    1: more weapons (flamers and melta for raptor, autocannon and missle launcher for devs, combi-weapons for tac)
    2: more maps (I'd really like to have more maps)
    3: full use of the curtomizer, for example AM/raptor cutomization. (the first few times in the cutomizer I was searching for how I could customize my raptor, FAILED EPICLY)
    4: and what I find most importantly: more races!!! I'd love to see orks and 'nids in MP.
    ugh, I really want to have more races, orks, eldar, 'nids, tau?
    5: bots, we really need bots :P

    A couple more things I'd like to add to the list

    1. The ability to kneel would be a good thing to see ingame. Even a mighty Space Marine is smart enough to take advantage of cover and make himself less of a target when faced with weapons that have the potential to laugh at their armour protection (plasma and melta weaponry spring to mind).

    2. I'd also like to recommend a change to perks in that some should be mutually exclusive to promote fairness and diversity. In simpler terms, you cannot take two perks that buff the same weapon, state (such as health) or ability (such as stunning or throwing grenades). For instance:

    - If you have Master Crafted Wargear, you cannot take Favoured of the Armoury
    - If you have Feel No Pain, you cannot take Iron Halo
    - If you have x weapon, you cannot take two perks that directly affect that weapon if they are available.

    3. To bring some more consistency to the game, I'd also like to propose standardizing HP and shield values and default movement speeds amongst all the classes. The armour each class wears - despite appearances - has the same inherent toughness and ability to augment strength to allow the wearer to carry heavy equipment / weaponry and move at a decent rate. A Space Marine is a Space Marine.

    4. Race-specific weaponry. Plasma Cannons for SM Devastators and Autocannons for Chaos Havocs for example.

    5. Add in new classes. I can think of one right off the bat - Scout. As Space Marines you could run around as a Scout, gaining access to shotguns, Sniper Rifles and Bolters - with the default loadout being a Bolt Pistol and Knife. As Chaos, you could run around as a Cultist. The Scout class would have weaker shielding but have a slightly faster movement rate and perhaps the ability to cloak themselves (but not be able to shoot and move at a reduced pace). Infiltration could be disabled by being close enough to the scout or perhaps by an AOE weapon.

    6. For every advantage a perk gives, it should come with a disadvantage.

    This would be a silly longshot:
    Regarding this armour stuff and the files, they look like they are basic plug-ins kind of thing and could easily be coded that way So.....

    If we could bimble create custom armours ourselves (modding perspective here) and use them in game. To other people playing, it would just look like the default parts. Seeing as the games going to be modded anywiggle.

    Relic should do something akin to what Valve does with TF2, let us make stuff for the customizer like helmets, shoulderpads, etc, submit them to Relic, and then they can choose to add them to the game in a official patch.

    Kinda like those custom maps competitions they used to have, but with models. Let's face it, no matter how much Relic or THQ want, they're never going to be able to fully please the 40k community, there's just too much crap in the 40k universe, and Relic can't do it all, now, it seems we're going the way of "fuck mods" as of late, so this could be a compromise. Food for thought.

    I know i'd totally be up for it, and i bet many others would be up for it too.

    For this game, more maps, more skins, more armor pieces and more game types (capture the flag). Its those things that will keep people playing and the game alive for longer.

    For the sequal I would like to see a persistent marine that we carry over from SP to Co-op to MP and levels up accross all game types. Halo Reach and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 did this very well and are great examples to follow. It gives the player more attachment to his controlled character across ALL aspects of the game.

    1. Make bolter do more shield damage. It's pathetically weak now.
    2. Lascannon should not be 2 hit kill anywhere on the body. 2 hit kill with at least one body shot, yes.
    3. Fully charged plasma cannon should not instant kill at close range. Remove all shield and leave the least amount of health possible, yes. Either that or make the randomness of the firing pattern crazy inaccurate without hunkering down.
    4. More maps.
    5. More multiplayer levels/incentives to continue playing. It'd be cool if there were unlocks for Exterminatus by completing multiplayer challenges.
    6. Camos/alternate skins for weapons. It'd be cool to be able to see 3rd edition weapons being used.
    7. Optimize code for post processing. It halves my framerate, but doesn't double my resolution in one dimension, so I dunno what's going on.
    8. Increase bolt pistol firecap to something at least 2/3rds of plasma pistol's.
    9. Change the reload animation and indicators. The only way to active reload is to hear the clunk of the magazine going in and then sprint or roll, which I find weird.

    Adding in the librarian mesh parts. It's likely that they will be unlockable DLC later anyway... but in case they dont.

    A good option would be Scouts/Heretics; faster moving and with access to lighter weaponry, but less overall health and damage resistance. They'd make a good option for scouting ahead, getting into enemy territory, etc. Some differentiated weaponry (Bolter for Scouts, Corrupted Lasgun for Heretics; Autogun fires faster but does less damage for same DPS) would help shake things up, since canonically on tabletop, the two have very similar combat roles and equipment (Silenced Sniper Rifle, Flamer, Shotgun).

    Another would be Apothecaries/Dark Magos, who would provide the ability to heal and revive teammates. Apothecaries most are familiar with; the latter is their Chaotic counterpart.

    Yet another good one would be Terminators, who would move slow-as-hell but boast strong offensive power in both close-combat and from a distance.

    Make all fully customizable and you make people explode their pants.

    Tweaking the existing classes would likely be necessary in this setup to allow better survivability on the part of the existing ones, and to assure minimal overlap.

    - One specific to gameplay that is driving me nuts, is proper clipping. I'm swinging away with my Tac Marine, and end up stuck in a wall until I either die or manage to quick-roll the exact right direction. Conversely, my raptor/asm is jumping through open air until he hits an invisible wall.
    Campaign-wise, it's really irritating; apparently a Space Marine can jump from a crashing Valkyrie, ride a Ork gunship while it crashes, and survive things that would kill a normal human, yet they're unable to step over something that looks about 6 inches tall...?

    - Would like more available slots for schemes (customization).

    - Orks available in MP

    - CUSTOMIZABLE GAMEPAD BUTTONS. Almost forgot that one. My left thumb is so damned sore from sprinting, and if someone moves around while in melee, you can't move unless you stop swinging, ergo you die. Stick-swap is not a valid option, I just want my RB to be my melee.

    - My greatest desire (and biggest gripe) is cross-platform multiplayer. If a game is released on all three main gaming platforms (PC/XBOX/PS3) and no cross-platform MP, are they assuming that XBOX gamers have no friends who are PC or PS3 gamers? I know it's a bitch, as there's Steamworks, XBL & PSN, but a boy can dream.

    Something else I'd like to post that NastyNoodle suggested in a discussion we had: A mode similar to Sieze Ground but with the addition of Ork npc's that randomly spawn, harrass players of both sides and attempt to take points.

    time to throw in my 2 cents.

    Single player:
    As ive stated before, more variety and more content is needed. Killing the same ork over and over again with the same kill animation gets old. I dont mind wadeing through hordes of ork boys, but I do mind it when they are the exact same clone. I think the only races I would be ok with fighting clones would be the necrons and Maybe tau.

    More animations for all the weapons as well, even with the different attack/stun combos, after an hour of playing youve seen all there is to see with that weapon. I suggest just making different looking combos, they have the same end result but your character just goes about it differently then swing this way, then that way. Why not add a back hand, sword grip smack or a stab in there!

    Along with more weapon animations and such, alot more of the Kill animations, Do I wana stab this Nob through the head? or do I wana try 5 other things that also make a nice splat :]

    Maybe an upgrade system or a class system, In the demo I decided that I wanted to go heavy melee combat, which at times ya you could without a problem, but it got dull fast and it didnt work sometimes. Maybe introduce something like bioshock had, you find a little upgrade station someone scattered through out the world and you can upgrade which ever weapon/slot you want. I want to go heavy chainsword and pistol, so make my sword better, give my pistol more ammo, maybe a little scope so I can pick guys off that are shooting at me. I am not saying its an insta upgrade sort of thing, one upgrade and your weapon is now godlike but over the game it gets better and better. I can see why that would be a bit Unspace marine like upgradeing himself in the battlefield and all though.

    Ofcourse, longer singleplayer. I really enjoyed the game and played it till i finished it, which took me about 6 or 7 hours. The ending seemed a bit rushed I think, Cool dont get me wrong! falling from space playing fistycups with a chaos demon is great, (although the quick time events kinda messed with me, very random and out of no where) but I was hoping for more, well until i saw the ending which I am not going to say in case someone hasnt finished it yet.

    Make chaos space marine come from something else besides the warp! I understand if its like the black legion a very demonic group or some major chaos lord, but not all marines come from a warp portal, Chaos or not they still have thunder hawks, still have drop pods, those 2 things are just covered in spikes now.

    Some people said that there were to many cinematic, I disagree. I wanted a lot more character background and such. I saw or herd in an early movie that one of your buddy marines was just promoted to full space marine, and that he took to the codex in every way, which ya I got, a little. I think it was a good base but there could have been a lot more to build upon with our npc buddies. When your vet marine gets poked to death, I didnt really care to be honest. Ya it sucked but A i saw it coming, and B I really didnt have much attachment to him anyway.
    PS: loved the intro for the game, awesome way to kick things off as ships fly around in space floating to there doom.

    And change the ork voice acting please! My first ork interaction was from Dawn of war 1, and thats what has stuck with me, I think of an ork, I think of that voice acting.

    Thats it for single player, I hope they dont change the voice acting/sounds/music. that was all just fantastic!

    Alright well lets get to the chase here, more content.

    more maps ( they maps are all Really well done and Really well balanced to I dont mind waiting a bit for more, But dont go charging us 15 bux for 4 maps or something stupid )

    more armor

    more chapter sets ( I am guessing these will become buyable as DLC later, but if not, get on that relic <3 )

    more game modes

    the armor and color customizing is awesome, best ive seen in any game yet, but a little more could be added. What if i want white trim around my imperial fists chest armor to be white, but the aquila to be gold?

    Muting mics, and not just the other players. Give us the option for push to talk! ( this was sad when I found out that Wasnt standard )

    Being able to change my weapon color would be a nice touch, If i have a silver trimed chaos marine with no gold on him, my bolter stands out.

    Being able to use a chainsword or a better melee weapon as a tac marine to replace your bolter. I know its the job of the assualt marine to go stab people, but tac marines can do alot of stuff besides shoot.

    A storm shield or some kind of shield so you can block attacks, you cant attack back but your protected as long as you have it out. Well from the front at least.

    Fix the space/chaos marines eye pieces, they glow and have different colors if you look at them, blue eye piece that has a red glow?

    as much as i hate to admit it, Call of duty did something really cool with the prestige thing, I am almost to lvl 40 and besides maxing out my weapons because I want to, and killing everyone online, there isnt a reward to keep playing besides just the fun factor, which dont get me wrong its fun game and ill be playing it as long as there are people online, but ive already noticed the drop in servers.

    dedi servers... enough said.

    Some more game mode ideas
    :Capture the server skull/titan...something. Capture the flag, basic but a fun game from time to time.

    : Damnation mode. A game where eveyone is a space marine to start, You have to hold points against demons or just survive the map. One player is randomly selected to be a chaos marine but no one knows who it is until he attacks ( looks like a normal marine ) when he kills you in a certain way ( maybe a stun and execution thing ) then he turns you over to chaos to help kill the other loyalist. The less loyal marines their are, the more bonuses they get, so If you are the last marine then you can get damage, healing and speed bonuses as you survive against the other now chaos members and demons. (kinda like css or tf2 zombie mods)

    :speaking of tf2 and css, do a gungame , you start with pistol and knife and work your way up to the highest level of weapon, once a player gets a kill with every weapon/class then they are promoted to a termy and must get so many kills to win the game

    :All out war mode, Kinda like the old command and conquer renegade or star wars battlefront, a larger game with a tank or walker (something light ) to drive, where each team must fight over some kind of objective. Some random player can be picked by the game to become a termy, or dreadnot or something like that, he is a alot better then a normal marine but their is only one of him and when he dies, the special class goes back into cool down until it finds another player later in the game. The player just goes back to reg marine or w/e he was playing as.

    I dont know what to call it but a l4d sorta of game mode, you get 4 people and have to go through some level fighting demons, lots of demons ( and different kinda please, I dont wana see the same blood letter and thats it ) that are in your way to some objective. The 4 marine classes ( which can be stacked ) could be an apothecary, can revive fallen players and speeds up healing when close to him, he can only use basic weapons such as bolter, bolt pistol and chain sword though. A tech marine which can build/repair a door or defense to stem the tide, also grants an ammo regen when standing close, also the only class that can use heavy weapons. When he does use heavy weapons then he doesnt have the ammo regen but dishes out alot more damage, where as if he does just have a bolter or plasma gun then he is slightly less effective at combat, but provides the team bonus. A chaplin who is more of a tank for the team then anything else, but inspires players around him so they take less damage. He does alot of melee damage with his power weapon and can take slightly more then a normal marine can. Maybe have a perk for him to where is he is close to death he goes into a frenzy mode, he cant be hurt and dishes out extra damage but If it doesnt get healed within a certain amount of time he dies. And last of the playable characters would be librarian, this class will do alot of damage to demons but might have a cool down time as he has to rest his mind against the demonic onslaught, perhaps any demon around him does less damage or might random flee a little from his holy armor. He can go a heavy attack unit but has to cool down alot more, or can be a reg melee fighter with the other players and just not do as much. Id say all these players would be able to have their own armor and perks like in last stand, apoth can go heavy team healing or just heal himself, eveything would have a good side and a bad side.

    RESTRICT the assault classes time between jumps. Many times, coupled with the ULTRA LAG of your shitty p2p system and the god awful fow and camera that you made for the console wankers you sold out to: it makes killing them one of the most difficult things in the game

    I just thought of one more thing, mainly for single player cause I can see a marine/chaos taking more then one bolter, but for single player, orks dont take that many bolts to the face! unless its a nob or something huge, it should be one head shot, one dead ork. if its a reg boy or shota boy then 2 Maybe 3 bolts to the chest and done. I know this was done for fluff reasons but still, bugs me.

    Reduce ammo capacity. Really, you NEVER run out of ammo....you can't even come close.


    For the sequel - add a fan-made chapter or two. Just a short cameo, like the Blood Ravens in SM.

    3. maps with movable walls to add spice to gameplay
    4. capture points that activate auto gun turrets
    5. missile launcher with various missile types heat seeker etc
    6. auspex so you can have a clue whats behind you

    1) Increase the level cap to 50. Getting 41 seems a bit too easy and not really rewarding cause simply the armor rewards are way too few, and give us deeper customization options. (where are the unique chaos legion helmets, the cool looking SM helms and the capes for the cape god shuma?).

    2)Additional weapons like the Lighting claws, Power Fists/chainfist,Flamers,Autocannons,Assault Cannons,Storm shields,Missile/Rocket launchers. I believe they can be added with some restrictions and adjustments in a gameplay wise way.

    3)Rework some of the current Weapons and Perks.
    Tact:
    A)Serrated blades should be replaced with a perk that would allow the use of either chainsword,power sword/axe/fist but would also prevent you from using Weapon Versatillity (to keep tacts performance balanced between CC and ranged)
    B)Weapon Versatillity now allows Tact to use Combi weapons instead of having primary and secondary weapons(still change the weapons fuction as usual, but this time will give more combi weapon options to experiment with a.k.a bolter-flamer,stalker bolter-grenade launcher,etc).
    C) 2-slot perks that would change Tacts role to Apothecary or Honour Guard or Champion with a preset weapon loadout with balanced gameplay performance.
    D) Get rid of Vengeance launcher ,period.

    Assault:
    A)Addition of Lighting claws or Falchions as dual weilding weapons but also preventing the use of ranged weapons.
    B)Rework Final Vengeance and make it available only with Thunder hammer.(in the past been recorded that thunder hammers could release their titanic energies in one attack, self-destructing the weapon and killing not only the wielder but any surrounding enemies)- from wh40k.lexicanum.
    C)Storm Shields available with Thunder hammers replacing pistols.
    D)Nemesis Force sword-2 slot perk that gives Assault Marine A Nemesis Force sword (fast as chainsword strong like power axe or something balanced between the two.Yes i know that Grey knights don't use jump packs but who considers any part of this game really a canon w40k game especially when you have all sort of different colored-customised ppl fight each other).

    Devastators:
    A)Multi-Melta + Frag Missile Launcer
    B)Terminator Armor- 2 slot perk that makes him slower but tougher but also change the available weapons to: storm bolter and power fist or Heavy Flamer or Assault Cannon or Hammer and storm shield

    4)More maps with some creativity like escorting a group of tech marines to malfuctional land riders while some team members try to take out enemy tech marines. The goal is to have enough land riders to take out an enemy structure and to do that before the enemy does the same.

    5) Maybe the implementation of Librarians/Chaos Sorcerers and other races for Exterminatus in a similar way to Last Stand.

    Tactical (tacticals use only 1 slot for armour!) in TA can use:
    *stormbolter (default)
    *power fist/power sword (Thunder hammer/chainsword damage like PA versions). Power fist can be taken thanks to the perk...
    *combiweapons (flamer, plasma, melta. Low ammo, low reload). Again, perk needed (weapon versatility)
    *most of the perks should work just fine

    Assault Marine in TA
    *faster sprint
    *power claws (a lot of damage, fast)
    *thunder hammer/maul and storm shield (flat out 40% damage resistance)

    Devastator (slower than the rest. Can't sprint?)
    *cyclone missile launcher (added to stormbolter and power sword)
    *assault cannon
    *heavy flamer (bit longer range than Melta, lower damage, sets targets on fire for few seconds)

    A slow but durable class. Can be sniped or flanked... Would be fun.

    Oh, and horns for CSM.

    Somehow being able to see what classes your teammates are would be useful (maybe on the scoreboard). Could help choosing of class easier, to compliment the teams load-out.

    In no particular order:


    1) Make the text in chatroom stay. Since it's in the middle of the screen with nothing in the entire vertical column it would be a nice touch if you guys make it look like a parchment scroll like such:



    2) Include a soundboard that acts like your mic as in it is still entirely mutable by others but is as audible as the space marines grunts in that it's proximity based. In the customization screen you can choose which sayings you want attached to hotkeys and during gameplay you could then command your marine to say things such as "FOR THE EMPEROR!" or "GLORY TO THE DARK GODS!". For 360/PS3 they can be given 8 options by holding down one of the unused weapon selects and then pressing A,B,X or Y. For PC use function keys and allow 8 or more.
    Just use the best of DOW1 and 2 quotes so you dont need to bring in voice actors. Also it could be even further defined by making it so we could click on teammates in the scoreboard and send them 'messages' over the vox channel

    3) Facial movement for Captain Titus, at least frowning when he's melee/getting hit. Nothing like hacking through hordes of orks with a stoic face. Wheres the might of the emperor?

    4) More generic armor options and less packs. Everyone could come out happier here: Instead of doing a full Iron Warriors armor set give us certain peices that can go on anything. Not all the pieces but the most important like a new helmet and the yellow and black danger pattern. Thousand sons could have a rubric marine helmet and a new torso with inscriptions and a tzeentch dedicated tabard. You guys could rack in more money, less effort and to greater appeal. Dont forget generic armor options though! We love helmets

    5) Have a perk for the tactical marine to use a chainsword! Very iconic and needed IMO

    6) Increase the level cap and make it restart with an icon next to your name so say the cap is 50, you reach 51 which really turns to 1 with a gold tic next to your name. Like in the last stand but without taking away your earned armor.

    7)Seeing what class your team is in the scoreboard menu. Very convenient to know if your team is spamming assault marines when you really need some devastators at the moment.

    8) Ability to show your warband badge for chaos on the shoulder pauldrons that still have room to display it but decide not to. If we dont want to show it then we can set the badge to none.

    9) If it wouldnt slow down multiplayer can we get some blood on us when we melee someone? With lack of blood and screaming i feel disconnected from the warhammer universe

    Here's an idea I thought would be a lot of fun, and potentially a really good paid for DLC:

    Killteam MP / Coop mode

    Allow up 5 - 10 players to join this coop mode. 5 as a minimum.

    Maps are random, perhaps made from 4 subsections that 'tile' together to keep things varied. Players have NO idea what map they're playing on till it starts.

    Each map subsection has a potential drop pod spawn point. One is selected at game start. Players spawn at the drop pod (with their weapon selection).

    Gameplay is similar to exterminatus, crossed with hold ground. The remaining 3 possible spawn points become 'hold points'. The objective is to hold all 3 points for 5 minutes, or eliminate all incoming waves. Losing one point resets the timer. Obviously the optimum score will be from eliminating all incoming waves.

    Enemies (either Ork or Chaos) spawn randomly around the edges of the map / drop in in Roks or possibly Dreadclaw pods, close to the hold points.

    Could be lots of fun I think, and I'd probably pay another £8 for it.

    What is really needed - that's an option to add AI players to private (at least) Versus and Exterminatus. As both allies and enemies in first case, as allies only in second, naturally. In Versus they should have different difficulty levels. I.e. some analog of DoW2 skirmish mode is necessary for initial MP training - mostly becoming familiar with the maps before entering the real MP.

    Agree with more classes, armor, and weapons. I think it would be awsome to run around as an apothacary, or plague marine.

    Bring some of the sorcery into Spacemarine some Chaos WarpMagic,, bring doombolts, deamon DopphelGanngers. Nurgle spells, Deaomon Warp Spawns ( summon a Warp Deamon or two ) to support you some buffs

    Bring Lybrarians to the game with their abbilltiys ( Mind goes blank when thinking about Libraryians )

    More Multi player modes more team games more and different enemies

    A advanced mode to configure mutlipayer(team games)

    more Weapons and the abillity to introduced player made lore fitting weapons

    abbillity to play exterminatus with two or three people and to set a level limit for players( making for a leveled game, no pl1 -level 2 ,pl2 - level 22 ,pl3 -level41 games) just playing games with a leveled group

    I like the game Spacemarine pretty much and think much can still be added to make it a fun game ( official mod tools should soon be released )

    I Haven't finished the single player game yet just at the second or third mission, but i played some multiplayer games and some Exterminatus, i even play exterminatus ALONE to get my level up and get a better score ( I just unlocked the Assault Marine and its Crazy fun )

    First of all I'd like to say that Relic and THQ are amongst my favorite Dev's and Publishers, You've made and published some of my favorite games, thank you for that.

    these are the 3 things the game needs most urgently; simply because they are Broken*.

    1. When I reformat and Space Marine is the first game I reinstall because I enjoy playing it so much, seeing that my lvl 41 character with all his armor unlocks (except grudge kills)and his weapon and armor unlocks are missing and instead I'm looking at a lvl 1 Ultra Marine. Then after playing a round (2 days later because it was the soonest I could look at the game again without putting my fist through the screen)I get my lvl and weapons back but the single player campaign progress (was finished) and weapon unlocks are missing. That needs to be fixed. It's absolutely BS you think someone wants to waste 200 hours on a game, reformat because the computer was broken, reinstall, and see that. And it's absolutely BS you think they want to waste 100 hours when he reformats every 6 months reearning all his weapon unlocks, (especially with thing that needs to be fixed number 2). I'm not sure how you'd fix that but one thing I'd recommend is for it to save locally as a backup and also include a part in the installer where the player clicks where the player wants the save games; If game companies did that it'd be so much simpler and easier to backup save games.

    2. Match maker is not good enough,This game player base has nearly died out how many times now? Match makers should be optional not mandatory, we've respected you by buying your game you should respect us with providing us with something that works. Why would people want to spend $10 on dreadnought dlc if no one's playing? The game only gets new influxes of players when it's a bargain on steam? That is not good enough, we bought the game and we want to play it but can't do that because of the match maker, games with match makers die out after 6 months if they are lucky, I've seen online communities die out after 6 weeks, if you think people want to play or even buy dlc for a game that no one else plays your kidding yourself. And yet I've got games from 5-10 years with a srvr browser that I can get a game on straight away.

    3. less unlocks but same amount of content; inspiring people to become OCD just to get weapon unlocks and distinctly not enjoying that game time then never using that gun again because they don't like it is very simply not cool, go play UT, there's no weapon unlocks, it's a great game. And really, 100-200 hours to unlock everything is a bit ridiculous isn't it? If you must insist on keeping it in do a 3 step ranking system or something. first hour with basic gear, 5th hour get some more cool stuff, 10 hours get to play with the fun (yet not unbalanced)stuff. That way we're not grinding, cause hey, if I spend $100 on a game I don't want to grind, I WANT TO HAVE FUN DAMMIT!

    As for suggestions on less pressing matters that frankly I'd say are much wiser to implement in Space Marine 2 because there probably won't be a player base by the time they are done.

    4. More Armor customization / dlc; customization is such a important part of 40k games, and indeed games in general, I'm frankly surprised you've missed out on suceh great business opportunities like more customization options that would be much more marketable than preset DLC's. And also why does DLC cost so much? How long's a shiny bolter cost to make? A day's wage for 1 guy? Even if you charged half what yo do now for DLC you'd probably still make a profit, probably equivelant or more, because more people would buy it. Also simple things like putting decals where wanted, a proper color mixer instead of preset colors, and a few more options to make something unique would be cool. uploadable jpg's or something for decals would be cool but probably not advisable for obvious reasons (hint: starts with "W" ends with "ANG")

    5. Dreadnought exterminatus; a random player as a dreadnought with 7 marines (or maybe 6 and 1 terminator) to help him and a much more difficult challenge.

    6. Terminator exterminatus; 1-4 Terminators smashing orcs possibly with some ai imperial guard or space marines to help out as Terminators move very slowly and much like tanks it is not wise to sent them in without infantry support. However I do understand your reluctance to include Terminators as the balancing would not exactly be simple, even if you made them a separate class, they carry comparable armor and weapons to a entire squad so the balancing would not be easy. However restricting them to melee classes would make that a lot easier, although, less popular(landlubbers like guns eh).

    7. Orc Exterminatus; Running around smashing Imperial Guard ordering about smaller orcs would very simply be cool.

    8. co-op campaign, either spawn 2 units for every 1, or make them twice as hard, a neat bit of coding would do this without too much hassle (sort of)(but you'd probably want to make that unlockable after the campaign)

    9. Bigger maps, the maps feel very cramped, bigger ones would be pretty cool eh, although I do understand their limited size is because of limited PS3, XBOX, and even old computer hardware. Possibly make graphics more scaleable or something?

    10. Steam workshop integration or something like it; what better way to make things highly customizable than fans being able to make gear and if it checks out with quality control it to be implemented? Either that or just hire another dozen modelers. Fans recognize and appreciate things like that, instead of going "oh yeah that game's pretty cool", they say to their mates "not only is the gameplay solid but the customizer is incredible".


    I doubt anyone will read this but if they do, cool.

    The first 2 was the only things I actually came on here to write about but hey, I got warmed up eh, mentioned a few things other things that were annoying or needed.
