Campaign or the greatest dissapointment this Year

    Hello,

i dont know what to say, but this is ridicoulus.
I payd 40€for a game (thank god i didnt bought the ps3 version for ololol 64€) and after 1 day im done with the singleplayer campaign?
Are you kidding me? You better bring up some real decent DLC for free or i wont buy another relic game in the futre.

I feel dissapointment and anger, so much that i registered for this forum. Just to tell you.
I waited soo long for this Game because it looked so awesome but the campaign is a joke, again like in DoW1 & 2.
I love the WH40K Storys and stuff but i will never again buy a relic game its enough.

Maybe you should have read previews or waited till after release, to check how long the campaign was?

Buying something and getting annoyed with a feature that has been clearly described in both previews and reviews causes the fault to lie entirely with you, not Relic. Why is it their fault if you can't be bothered to read up on the product before purchasing it? Hell you didn't even need to buy it, previews mentioned the campaign was 8-10 hours.

    Knife King of Doltland

I'm not surprised. Anything within three feet of you seems to end up full of knife shaped holes.

And that's ignoring the fact that all modern games seem to have campaigns of comparable length. I guess you'd better not buy any games ever again Tirax.

Most Single Player campaigns, in my experience, last a day.

Regardless, Pocktio's advice is sound, though I'm sorry to hear that you feel your money was wasted.

Many recent games of the last decade that isn't an RTS, RPG or Turn-Based game have singleplayer campaigns that can be finished within a day of straight playing. I don't see how Space Marine is any different in this department at all, and therefore don't understand the resentment towards this particular point. Space Marine isn't a perfect game yes, but the length isn't one of them.

You really want more or left-click right-click space bar spam? It's mindless killing fun (at lower difficulties) and strategic killing fun (on hard), but really, they tell a story, you kill stuff, what's more to be had?

Actually, the SP portion of Space Marine is something I'm happy with. Despite being about 6-7 hours long on hard for me, I had really good time with it, with the good representation of the world and universe done by Relic, this is something I can't rant about.

My mony IS wasted, but what do i expect from a fanboy forum like this.
40 € for this epic fail is a total rip off. And i dont know what type of games you guys usually play, but i will stick to Bioware, MassEffect and Dragon Age are in every aspect better then this joke of a game. Other action games are horrible too is actually the worst argument in the worlds history of bad arguments. Its a invalid fanboi argument.

DoW2 is a total disaster too, its MP mode is almost dead. Im Done here and done with this shameless company.

Fyi, I'm a Bioware fan. I love fleshed out campaigns with great stories. But I will make clear that I feel considering the format of click spam and roll spam, it's not something that can be fleshed into a campaign like Mass Effect 2 can. I would've found any "fleshing out" to be unnecessary waffle added in the middle. After half the campaign I was feeling its repetitiveness.

The main attraction about the game for me, anyway, was the MP. That needs some fixing, but I think the execution is pretty good for a first try.

People have a right to their own opinion, which they have given reasons for. So please can you not come into a forum, rant, and when people don't agree with you label everyone as "FANBOIS'".

Further, this isn't even Relic's official forum, only a volunteer-run forum. So take your grief somewhere else, like the community forums.

Yeah Bioware make superb, uber-long RPGs. So? If you only like those types of games ONLY BUY THOSE TYPES. It is incredibly clear SM was never going to be anything like those types of games so tell me why you bought it?

Also none of the arguments raised defend Relic, they all refer to games as a whole. So, yeah. We're all fanboys.

Glhf finding zero games that fit your criteria. I think it'll be a long wait till DA3. Skyrim might suit you.

Not for a 8h short campaign and a multiplayer with 2 mirrored factions 2 modes and 3 maps.
Maybe you are not my opinion, it seems like all gameportals and magazines are however.
    This game is a fail.

Bioware was just an example, there are alot more good games, which are worth its price. SpaceMarine isnt.

    anyway have fun.
    Im Done here.

This thread is a rant and serves no purpose. All valid points have already been made.
