Welcome to my world baby, it was a bug known since launch, Relic has absolutely NO idea what causes it, but they're "guessing" it is because lower hardware specs (even though they had the SAME FUCKIN REPORTS from people who had higher specs than required)...

Soooo... enjoy waiting, as I have, ever since I bought the game...

Oh, the multiplayer works, go play that!

PS. And before you think it's only that part that is broken, I miraculously went all the way up to the point where I get the Hammer... same issue.
    Steam name: Akagi_Ryu
Ruined:FYI on the bug fixing front a Steam patch can be applied in a matter of hours, most of which involve making coffee, chatting about the latest season of Survivor and pressing the upload button.

I am not sure why people get the bug while others do not. My gameplay has been incredibly bug-free, and the only bugs I experience are from my modding attempts. My relevant hardware specs:

    Intel® Core™2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHz
    NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT
    3 GB of DDR2 RAM

Could it be memory error from 64bit memory space, that relic has somehow messed up (i.ex. something that should be loaded to a memory space 32bit+ isn't verified that it is there and hence is missing when that data is requested?)

I mean, i am not sure at all, but do you know if it happens only on PCs with 4gb+ memory, or 64bit OS?

Guys, can you message Jager and see if he will help you out? It may be that you need to provide relic with very technical details and assist them with this. Whining in the threads isn't going to fix it Akagi_Ryu, I suggest that extending the hand of friendship to Relic may bear fruit.

Gosh, Hirm, it's such a lovely thing to say, you know!
I actually posted my dxdiag on Space Marine forums a long time ago and tried to describe my issue the best I could

It's not like I'm just crying for fixes and expecting them to show up out of thin air you know (although I admit that sometimes it might seem like that)

In a state of perpetual confusion.
But you haven't bothered to post either your dxdiag.txt or hijackthis.log files in your thread in Tech Assistance here to see if somebody might be able to help. So, yeah, at the moment you are "just crying for fixes and expecting them to show up out of thin air".

That level of memory management is taken care of by the OS, to my knowledge.

@GeoffS: I usually thought sending said info to the official page is more valuable in terms of fixing bugs, but you are right, my mistake. Updated the page with my dxdiag.txt. Now let's see if it changes anything

Mac_Bug, is there any way to hook Akagi_Ryu up with your technical/bug squishing folks? Then maybe they can make unreasonable demands for information from him, and get some justice

I'm just under the impression that if you guys reliably work together on this, you can likely reproduce it much faster and hopefully get a fix out very quickly. Adding Neumi to the mix and it will likely go even faster, since you can likely pinpoint the cause between two different PC builds.

I'm only a mediator here, but I'd like to see something good come out of this.

    Actually I wouldn't mind one bit o.o
If there would be any unreasonable information flying my way from the bug squishing group, they'd be more than welcome and I'd be more than happy to provide as many of that info as I can :o

Besides, as we all know, unreasonable demands is the thing that drives other things forward most of the time, no? ;D
