    [PC]Space Marine Ping Latency Issues

So I'm going to put this in technical support in the hope it will garner some attention from Pulse.r and maybe lead to an eventual fix.

Space Marine suffers very badly from ping lag or latency related bugs at the moment.

    Issues include:
    1. No host migration where necessary. I've been in games where the host is the only obvious person not lagging or complaining about lag, and everyone else is on Red Ping. The game refuses to migrate. I don't have any screenshots of this, but its a terrible problem.
    2. Games where everyone "appears" to have good ping, but everything is slow, with occasional "wait for host messages".
    3. Game appears to freeze completely, in what I believe is waiting for host, still has sound, wait for host icon doesn't appear, then finally catches up. I normally find myself dead at the end of these bits, especially if I'm in a fight.

I don't have my hardware, but I am very much convinced it isn't the problem. I'll post a DxDiag. I believe have an Intel Core i7 920 slightly overclocked (stable + tested), 6GB RAM and an ATI Radeon HD 6950 2gb. Dawn of War and everything else runs great, and single player of Space Marine runs perfectly (leading me to believe it is multiplayer lag related). My internet is stable, and I'm able to play console games and other PC games fine.

Most games have an unacceptable amount of delay to them. Hit's not registering, or them registering later than they should, explosions hurting me when I'm far away, chainswords hitting me when I'm far away, people rubberbanding and jittering etc.

Not sure what other information I can provide in order to support this, or make it reproducable. Searching online about 2/5 games are unplayable, with 1/5 playable containing lag, and 2/5 being acceptable/fine.

EDIT: As Promised: hijackthis.log and DxDiag.txt

Same here, and I'm sure that we'll have many others. Can't record games to demonstrate, can't reproduce since the host select is "random". Not really sure how we can get this across if all he complaining hasn't done it already.

In a state of perpetual confusion.
This thread is likely to get very cluttered if people just come in saying things like "same here" or "I'm having the same problem", so to try to keep it focussed and give the guys at Relic something to work with, this is the way things will be done...
    1. This will not become a general bitch and complain thread, or we will ban people from posting in the thread.
    2. Genuine, constructive suggestions are welcome. (That does not include "dedicated servers naow!!")
    3. Everybody who wants to post here saying they are having lag problems MUST post their dxdiag.txt and hijackthis.log files in the thread. There will be no exceptions to that. It would also help if you include the make and model of your modem/router.

This occurs in the console versions as well. Latency issues are huge here, and there's been accusations of Standbying (wherein people hit their Standby button on their DSL/Cable modem in order to cause host-side lag that is to their advantage). For reasons obvious, It's simply not possible to give dxdiag readouts (let alone hijackthis logs) for the console versions, but rest assured that every single one of the issues listed by Hirmetrium exist in the console versions, just as badly, and deserve to be fixed just as much.
