its re sent budy could you send me a copy to test out bugs and use for test pilot of gk mod im working on.im also made a gk dreadnoughts and testeng them out .and blood dread mod is out so im trying to work that in to.

also, guys please post on the website especially the suggestions thread, we need suggestions so we can put things in that the community wants, also FYI: the biggest goal to do currently is combining the imperial guard and the space marines, to create the imperium of man, and use that left of faction slot to make the Tau empire. how would you guys feel about this? would you rather it stay the same and focus on other things, if so what? (other than balance, as that is always the priority)

mind if you be a little more specific, the sm builder shouldn't be as i was having problems with the servitor model, so i changed it with the normal scout marine model.
and can you explain number 4 more, also yes tons more units are coming, and the grey knights are in the ordo Malleus building that is built by upgrading the stronghold to level three. and sadly they are not completely grey, however the armor is majority grey, but there are still colors from the faction,me and shadow had some trouble with that, but as i stated there are many more changes to come pretty soon. and for what units are the no range errors.

hm, are you running the shortcut as an administrator, and are you using the shortcut provided in the download. also did you put your module file in you dow 2 retribution directory, C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dawn of war ii - retribution

4 all 4 sm buildings have 3 levels of upgrade??
1why remove leman russ and added basilisk,why not add bassilisk and keep leman rus??
2same for land raider,baneblade is a little to slow.
3will you add listening points and maybe turets on requisition points??

@demetrius, i never intended to remove the leman, i just haven't been able to add the basilisk due to troubles with the model.
speeds will be updated for a number of vehicles and some melee units in the next version.
yes, however shuma made them and hasn't yet put on turrets.
please keep the questions coming man, it helps me make each version that much better.
well i just thought with the grey knight laszers you could try taking out the tem files that should make the gk armours the same grey color all time.use gimp or photoshop color them grey and whatever and they should stay that way.i just thought of this tonight.but im getting back on track slowley .i do have dow2 dowcr,and dow ret all installed now.itl take some time but i will be back to helping you soon as i can.
Now as for listning post its what i was working on before my wipe out.i tested what i made and it did take the reqesitions spots like old dow1
did.But the turrents i made for the sm listning post didnt shoot.so i guess its a start any way in right direction.Old shadowninja isnt out of the game yet just postponed.shadowout.
oh btw laszers i can with your permission do alot of codeing to get every thing lined out,all models and try get rid of the pink issues.i can put abilitys in troops and vehicles .even put troops layout in hq,s.since i caint make any models right now i can help with all that send you what i did and if you like it run with it....but i dont wont too do any thing codeing wise unless you green light it.let me know what you decide budy.

well shadow, that would be great, as of right now there isn't anything big we are doing, but as soon as blood releases his mod we will have a huge deal. you see i am leaving this choice up to the community, you guys have three options.
option 1; the imperium, if this is chosen then we will do a number of things. first off replace the IG with the tau empire, we then combine the IG and space marines to create the imperium.
pros
adds the tau
creates a (in my opinion) very cool idea as the imperium
unlike other mods that create new factions, none will be removed
cons.
some voice acting issues (minor)
some balancing issues (but nothing to hard to fix)
option 2 will be the same concept, but different execution. instead of combining the IG and space marines, we will put in a IG hero into one of the space marine slots, if you choose this option you will be able to use that hero to spawn an IG or space marine hq choosing your faction from their. this will still keep the tau.
pros
adds the tau
keeps the two factions separate
keeps the game from getting too unbalanced
cons
may be kind of bugy
option 3 is just keep it the same, and dont worry about putting in other factions.
also we are having an event this Saturday (view steam group for details).
i am leaving it up to you guys, i like the idea of the imperium but option 2 may be a bit easier.
well to be honest budy i think option 1 sounds very kool and ill help do codeing if need be i ive done test before with my gk mod.trying put dif units in hq.and it all worked out nicely.copes toolbox is amazing for that kinda things.and i frikin love the tau.and i learned with copes toolbox i can give any model any voice i want.just trust me on this.its hard to explain but i tested the hell out of it.like i said copes toolbox can do almost everything cept make the madels in max.but if you know how to rig stuff up in his toolbox you can get almost any look you want.and of course coloring your models dds files and renaming them works with his toolbox too.BTW....i just fount out how to use any pic and make it a stamp for putting on wargear,using gimp.also you can scale how big and were you want to put it.so i can proberly fix the gk color thing and bling them out also.
dont like idea of merging races,add tau,add necrons,add grey knights as separate race one day, but dont remove any race.
1population limit of ig is 5000??'isnt that to much.why you didnt put lets say 4x from original 400 for all races except orcs,the have little more.
we cant add as separate race as no one knows how to, prometheus was close, but still no luck as he said he stopped trying, and 5000 is how many troops are in one regiment of IG so it is as close to the codex as possible. orks have tons as they multiply a-sexually and tyranids as well. i just tried to keep everything to codex. we cant add a race without messing up or merging others it just isn't possible right now.

Alright i have a question about morphing armies into others. Would it be possable To do it like DLC, How if you pick the Ultrasmurfs Dlcs you get new armors and all that gibs and gubbinz. What i am saying if you want to play as IG, just put them in the scroll down menu for the factions in the SM and scroll to what ever IG army you want, if that is possable, that way you can keep all your units and not have to lose them to balance them between IG and SM, then you can use whatever space that was used for the IG for the Tau and Necrons armys
unfortunately no, because all that can be changed through chapter selection is their look, not the actual units, although i like the idea, and if there is a way i have yet to hear of it.

yea, same here, option two has grown on me a bit, im thinkin we will do that, but nothing is set in stone.
I say stick with keeping the tau commander in imp guard, with the tau commander replacing the inquisitor. You wont have any voice issues other than tau still having imp guard voices, or well technically you could give them any current voices ingame, and you only loose one commander and gain a whole new race. Option 1 and 2 will mean you will have the imperium of man faction with only 3 commanders to select from out of the 6, loosing 3, and then youll need to make up from scratch one more tau commander to go with the other 2 found in the old IG->tau conversion mod. Im probably gunna start working on seperating the drones from the hammerhead to use them as a squad / addition to firewarrior squads. Lemme know if you could use them.
Now if there was a way to set what chapters are selectable based upon which comander you have selected, you could have both seperate chapters with individual commanders and seperate stats.

hey blood what about using the voices from the tua commander fromlast stand,as it give tau voices thats tua.i did learn how to give speeches to anybody using copes toolbox before i had my wipeout .So if you want us three can teamup on this and put are thoughts and ideahs on this awesome project.And i did some searching and fount Blender is free and dam fine program to model with.and some more searching and i caint rember who but theres a dude on this forums that figured out how to import and export model in Blender dow2 ret models.So if i can find everthing and thats path im going modeling for now on.
Shadow- the tau commander is dlc, so you wouldnt be able to use it. besides, his voices are only about 25% complete. he only speaks when you have him selected and click on an enemy to attack so its kinda pointless. Its really too bad we couldnt use DOW1 voices either.
Master Flagg - Well theres a coupple ways to do it. In this instance, for the tau, replace the Inquisitor with the Tau commander. Remove the IG HQ from the startup for mp matches. create 1 ability that has a 1 time spawn of the IG HQ with all of their units and give those abilities to both of the IG commanders. Create another ability that has a 1 time spawn of a Tau HQ which will spawn all tau units that will be completely seperate with different stats,squads, ui etc, and give that to the Tau commander. This is how im setting it up for the Necrons atm.
The other way is to just put all of both the tau and IG squads at the IG hq, and set requirements that will only show IG squads when the IG commanders are ingame, and the same for if only the Tau commander is in the game.
thats true didnt think of that ,voice parts will be tricky,as there is alot of voices in ret alone we hopfuley will find some close to taus voices.
