alright i'm pretty sure i have this all figured out, i will put in the tau commander who has an ability that spawns the tau hq (ig hq from the star will be gone), and the sm and IG wont merge, but blood i have a bit of a problem with the tau models, they are in the game and you can see them, but they are completely pink, any ideas? shadow i will assign some tasks to you pretty soon, so be ready. i'm thinking you will work with the voices and some animations if they are needed. also blood i do need the models for that, hammer head and stuff without the drones.

and blood the idea about sperate commanders for each chapter wont work, as you could only have like three chapters, i think instead i will have pretty much what i am doing with the tau, and just have you choose a chapter hq that then has a specific chapter barracks etc etc... and that way all of the units will have unique stats, however it will take a hell of a long time. if anyone doesnt like any of these ideas, please speak up, i dont want to put something in that the community doesnt like.

hm, well i really like the battlewagon on top. the actual creature, to be completely honest, not so much. I personally think that it is a bit too cartoony, try taking off the yellow, dull up the green and red then make the horns a lot smaller, and remember to keep from stretching the textures.
also make the legs raise up the body a bit more.

k laszers budy illl get to fixing those things i can fix all you said but the stretch textures ill try its only the head,and i got actule texture on him its dragon scales to look like a lizard.as for the eyes im going to half find something else for it .in my oppinion they look like pocimon .i fix the green and red that will be easy enough.
looks allot better, the horns on the front need to be redone, you see how they bend as like, a 90 degree angle, they need to curve slightly not bend. also match the red color with the red color on the battle wagon, and the green with ork green. otherwise it looks amazing!
wow, so much better, only one more thing, change the horn color to the same as the one on the front.

just so everyone knows, the squiggoth looks more like the old one, 3ds messed up the textrues and stuff.
Ok its been a while on this and here is what he will look like .hope you all like this design is one of mine.
He is not done animating correntley yet but ive got him in game so you can see by the screeshotts how big he is now.
hes not as big as a mtn now lol,and i scaled him for dow2 ret maps.i think hes perfect size now.
Now i could use the communitys help on this problem ive got.ive got his animations working in Max,and santos tol box.but in game he doesnt walk or move like i made his animations for.
He moves like a tank. his wepons work and he can be fitted inside just like the real battelwagon does.with 5 squads.
but he doesnt act like the lizard i made him act like.Basicley the animations of the tyrant guard.
Any ideahs would help me get this model out in this mod quicker .Ty if someone does hepl us out.

ok, uh.... well he looks not so good. he needs to be skinnier by allot, and not short and chunky, and for now remove the tail. also allot of this stuff is just way too stretched even it out more. he looks to blocky, even it out more, a bit more ridged i guess. and be careful about some of the bling on this guy.

now for some good news and bad news bad news first as its what im acustum too.i can not use the tyrant guard to make the squiggoth.but i can use his animations and the bw animations ive got them allready made.but the good news is im combing the two squiggoths in these two pics up top of this post.ive fount several tuts on everytning kneeded to make this squiggoth .and im talking no kit bashing like i always do im gona try with everthing i know how to do now and tuts to help make this model from scratch.ive got the sketch up in max now making him.as for what i meent about combimg the two.i had ideah of the seconds armour but colord kinda like first,with the first kinda head with the armour on its head.well thats the good news when i get it done there will be a real dow2 ret squiggoth in game.ill post pics up of my progress.wish me luck.Now reason i say tyrant guard caint be made int squiggoth is ive made literley 12 models of him and none works right.so im tired of remaking this guy and i said "hell with this im making him for real,soi am.

well im putting this squiggoth in my vault ive worked on him for three weeks strait and he will not work no matter what i try.So im working on something way hell better.
What you may ask well ive wanted to redew every ork and im starting with the ork warboss.ill post screenshots when i get the model done and as i get more done itl be here.and maybe hadruns post too.so keep tuned .
Whats not working so to say? are you trying to attach him to some existing bones/animations and its not working or aligning right? if that is the case, i know it can be a pain but it is do-able.
sorry blood i just now saw what you said budy,yes thats ezactley the problem,im trying to attach the skin to the tyrant guard bones,and then use his melee_blade animations for squiggy,and then add fore the battelwagon part the,i think its called base animations for it .now i combined both of those sets and called them squggoth.
so i caint figure out what im doing wrong.and after all that ive made 20 difrent models of the squiggoth. not one will export right,im using the tut horus made long time ago,one for the demon prince,but he never finished it.i fount some on uvw unwrapping,only thing i think why it aint exporting into game is.
maybe it needs its own dds files,i caint find nothing on that though.

Im sorry im still having trouble understanding what you are saying shadow. Are you saying that you are trying to combine animation sets from both the tyrant guard battlewaggon? if thats the case then it cannont be done. Maybe you are trying to do this so that you can use the turrets on the battlewaggons as well as the 4 legged creature moving with the tyrant guard. Unfortunately it isnt something thats as easy as that or i would have combined tons of combonations like that by now. The only way to go about doing it using the skin attach method is to use envelope editing ( a tutorial can be found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJHY5q7GV6g). As far as for turrets, they wont have any moving parts since the tyrant guard doesnt have any set up turret mounts with a dual axis, so the guns would have to be stationary, yet you could add in whatever tracer effects you wanted for it. The only potential way around this would be for someone who is familliar with animations and creating bones to add in turret bones to the existing animation and then adding it into the motiontree for the unit. So far the only person ive seen who has been able to do this is Horus with his animations for the grey knights.

Well for shooting, getting turrets that rotate with the tyrant guard animations would be tough, would need all new bones and animations attached to it. getting it to fire, and weapon fx should be easy though.
now THATS the right idea mate! Gun is perfectly sized, claw got its powersource for the sake of reality and he got the armour and helmet of a TRUE Warboss!
And its about time we get some more proppa Ork mods for Retribution :P SargeX had some sweet mods aswell but most of them didn't work for retribution so yeah :/ but now we are getting the Orky back to the WAAAAAGH!I don't think there is much left for me to ask really, got a proppa Warboss, proppa mega nobz, proppa chainaxe, a fancy engine on the Warboss' back and a cute little big squiggoth to ride like a boss. Are there much left to request?

We have all seen the IG Lord general through the Dawn of War games and allmost everyone finds him rather outstanding from Sturnn to Lukas Alexander (and that soulstorm guy) but at Retribution most people was like "what the fu...." when we saw that new guy, I mean he is not any more armoured than a regular Kasrkin, if it weren't for his terrible standing pose when standing idle or shooting and his rather weak details with the golden plate and the gold skull decoration on his pauldron and snob face he would look like a Kasrkin.
And lets face it lads, the new Imperial Guardsmen, Weapons Team and General Lord is just plain terrible (but the rest is awesome)
So long ago I was looking through some models of various leaders of the Imperial Guard, commissars, captains, Company commanders. Just about everything from table top to DoW. And I was thinking, due to his lame pose he cannot be so well armoured like on those older models and origional because most of his armor parts would actually push into his body like if he was bugged. SO why not make a more light armoured version of for example Lukas Alexanders armor? Like you add a steelplate with a sash or skull thing, you add Pauldrons which is very similar to Lukas Alexanders, you add fitting boots and his optic visor (Davian Thules visor works perfectly)
and to his hands why not add the Commissar Lords black gloves and the Chaos Rising Guardsmen gauntlets for just decoration? And switch the jacket with a cape with the IG emblem on depending on regiment chosen (like the FC cape) and his head could be switched with Davian Thule to make him look more like a true war veteran instead of the earlier snob and to make sure people don't feel like they play entirely as just IG Davian you can add a Kasrkin Gas mask (without visor and helmet) to cover half his face.
That way you will get a rather outstanding General to lead the Imperial Guard and doesn't dress like some Kasrkin with pauldrons looking like Mira's from Space Marine. He would not be too armoured and by not adding wrist bolter or powerfists but just the Guardsman Gauntlets and Com lords gloves he will not really seem like he crashes with how Relic made him to use hand held weapons like the Sniper and sword as an example. He would be a mix between light and heavy gear and he could be made to be a Online playable mod and as main IG Lord model for this rather excelent mod if I may add.
So tell me, how does the idea sound for you all? Feel free to comment or throw complains if ya have anything to add xD

i love alot of your ideahs,and i can change the ig geaneral motions tree to something were he could be armoured like stern.
well if he had the standing possition and firing possition of the Sargeants or those armed with Lazpistol and chainsword then the armour would fit, but since its not Sternn, Lukas Alexander or that third guy a light armoured version with a mix of all their armours would be perfect for DoW :P besides, if you change the motiontree I don't think it will be able to be made into a standalone online mod such as those Hadrun makes :/

well for the IG general Davian Thule would fit, if you make my first idea to make him in the ageline as Lukas Alexander and the Soulstorm guy, but if you make him like sternn in age or sternn himself then its Gabriel Angelos, a more serrious voice than the IG general snob would be a great improvement xD
This mode is awesome, tnx for it, but why bolters and heavy bolters have no tracers, only kraken bolts have red tracers?
i dont know answer too that,wilfer when laszers gets back hed know he coded that in somehow.im not as good coder as laszers im ok.
bolters don't have tracers due to a glitch in the game that was accidently caused by myself, next update will fix that, ork i love the ideas keep them coming.

on the general Lords right arm that is not a stupid machine thing he got a golden guard plate. He do not deserve it cuz he looks stupid, but why can't the Commissar Lord wear it? Add that plate on both his arms and at the boots on the legs right above his foot. That way he will look well geared to actually charge an enemy line of ANYTHING they would throw at him. His face however is rather naked, so if it is possible you can add the inquisitors Skull Gas mask on him. If it doesn't work to use DLC stuff then just use a Kasrkin mask with a half visor so his right eye is hidden behind the glass but the bionic eye is able to be seen.
For the Ork Deff Dread it looks rather less deffy and more gitlike. IT NEED MOAR FLASH BITZ! On the front you add a Ork skull covering the entire thing, I told shadow to do on the warboss chainaxe you need to add such skull on the deff dread. The target thing will be seen through the eye of the Ork plate skull and the other eye can contain the target eye thing from the Shoota Boy lvl 2 helmet, thus will give you a deff dread with proppa gear. For arms I suggest you add a bit plates and such making it look a bit bigger and more strong to endure. Add a drill looking thing on top on the deff dreads claw arm, all the way from the arm and back it will be like some engine thing (for good looks) and poking out from above the claw there will be a spike poking out from the barrel engine thing. Will make it seem like the Deff dread impales his victims under sync kills. For the chainsaw itself you add another Ork skull ontop of it, the under part can just be dropped. It will look rather awesome and very orky on the chainsaw arm.
Wartruk looks rather to naked for my taste, cover the engine with some armor plates and shit which you can find on the looted tank and maybe other units, add spikes poking out from the midde of each wheel and at the front you can place a heavy rig gear which got huge horns and spikes so it looks like it can drive over the enemy. (which can be an ability in the mod) And for the love of zogg, give the drivers some armor. Add the lvl 2 slugga helmet that got the Jaw on the driver and add the target optic thing on the shoota helmet on his eye, do the same on the gunner but use the entire Shoota helmet instead and the jaw guard upon it. Then they both will look like they can both aim and drive. For chaos lord I got an idea, make your own version based from the DLC but if you can use DLC items (like I suggested on com lord) then take the Word Bearer sorcerer helmet and use it on the chaos lord, but instead of the large spike things you can add a logo of Khorne (Shuma got a helmet with that you can use if you ask I think) and his armor deserves for skulls, his spikes shall not have the stupid human skin but the mark of Khorne between them like a true banner of chaos. Oh and about the Chaos backpacks, I suggest the one the chaos sorcerer got in the DLC, the viking ship head things. MAN they are beautifull.
Eldar Wraithguard looks a bit silly and naked, so simple if you know what I mean. Try and add a cape and maybe a kilt thing the Wraithlord got, it will make them look atleast more threatening than toy soldiers, and maybe add a few banner things hanging from the antenna things from their back, like space marine seals they got their own things hanging down. (if you do give wraithlord the same) For the Aurtach she deserves more armour, give her half the bottom robe thing from the Warlock and split it so her legs will be seen but you can see the robe hang from behind like a half kilt, her arms could have the gauntlets the farseer got and she could have the helmet shuma have. On the chest she can have a wraithbone plate or something that covers as extra armor over her chest but leaves the stomach as it is, thus will make it seem like she is ment to be more armed than the faster foes and faster than the more armed.
Avatar of Khaine is not Khaine enough, he need a bit more armor to look rather prepared for battle. I know Khaine is not ment to be so armoured but I think you'll like this idea. On his chest you add a chestplate which goes down like a triangle, from his shoulders and down to covering his chest a bit with one of those eldar stones you can see on every eldar, the chest plate hoverer does not cover the thing on his chest, it more shapes AROUND it. For his lower parts you can make something which seems like a wraithbone belt which is connected to the kilt thing he have hanging down, on that belt thing you can add some of the heretics chains with skulls on which can seem like trophies of Khaine's victims. And for his head it looks like his helmet is a part of his entire head and face. (like the deformed new Guardsmen and their helmets :S) Khaine got various apperances but some of them he got a helmet, then why not give khaine a fitting helmet? but near his face it got an opening a bit bigger than the spartan helmets from 300. Khaine will look huge and yet well armed and more to be feared upon the field as he march his way to his kin's glory.
Imperial Guardsmen, THIS I kinda find a bit important myself because Imperial Guard is Imperial Guard. Use the Chaos Rising IG models, like Shuma's beautiguard mod. Remove the legplates on the regular guardsmen and the gauntlets. Give them regular IG helmets, REGULAR! No visor, no goggles and no kasrkin mask even attached at the model. Remove the ammo belt from their shoulder but leave the ammo belt atleast. For their legs you can remove their plates yes, but the knee armor parts can stay. For the Sargeant you can add the stripes you can see on the Krieg DLC sargeants or make your own to add on their shoulders. Give them the same armour as the guardsmen just without the helmet and give them the gauntlets as extra armor. Catachans are jungle warriors indeed but rather naked, add a armor plate under their jackets like the commissar's armour and add same kind of pauldrons the Sluggas get in lvl 1 when you reach army lvl 3, then you place the Imperial Guard Eagle upon both pauldrons on each shoulders. Then you toast with a bottle of prometium for well geared dudes.
Kasrkins are my favorite, please add them instead of stormtroopers, then you I could not help to notice the models you added on the Bacilisk altelery. You can use those, and to them you give the Kasrkin Guns and such. Then you add the ammo shoulder thing that shuma got on the beautiguard, knife on their back or on their belt (belt will fit better because of the guns) the double plated pauldrons they got on the beautiguard. (or you can place the knife sheath on their right arm gauntlet so it looks like they can easily quickdraw) And the goggles on the forehead on their helmet ofcourse with the visor covering their eyes.
Note that these ideas I have cast in now are ideas which can be normal wargear online playable mods aswell, just to make sure someone might wanna make them xD (selfish hope that is, like an Ork ;D)
For being playable for the mod only you should give the factions some extra fancy stuff.
Give the Orkz a looted Baneblade and looted carnifex.
SM could have whirlwind altelery (and boost their venerable dread if its unbalanced)
Tyranidz can have a Trygon (if possible)
And for Imperial Guard I got a small T1 idea, Melee Kasrkins. Equipted with stun nade Sincand frag nade. Abilites can be frag and stun nades, Speed up which also increases ranged damage resistance and cloak. Since they are well equipted Kasrkins ment for melee they can be a good counter to supression, ranged units and light melee, and for T2 they can get Melta Nades so they wont be so useless then either. Tho they are not that good in blobs since they are normal humans depending on melee combat training. I know its not a tabletop thing but IG should have more than just Ogryns as Melee.
And faction suggestion, Adeptus Arbites. Just a suggestion tho xD
So Laszers, Shadowninja or any other bothering to read this, please leave comments and such on what I have said and tell me if any of it is acceptable and possible for the modor stand alone wargear mods for online play xD

Try and add a cape and maybe a kilt thing the Wraithlord got, it will make them look atleast more threatening than toy soldiers, and maybe add a few banner things hanging from the antenna things from their back, like space marine seals they got their own things hanging down. (if you do give wraithlord the same) For the Aurtach she deserves more armour, give her half the bottom robe thing from the Warlock and split it so her legs will be seen but you can see the robe hang from behind like a half kilt, her arms could have the gauntlets the farseer got and she could have the helmet shuma have. On the chest she can have a wraithbone plate or something that covers as extra armor over her chest but leaves the stomach as it is, thus will make it seem like she is ment to be more armed than the faster foes and faster than the more armed.
Avatar of Khaine is not Khaine enough, he need a bit more armor to look rather prepared for battle. I know Khaine is not ment to be so armoured but I think you'll like this idea. On his chest you add a chestplate which goes down like a triangle, from his shoulders and down to covering his chest a bit with one of those eldar stones you can see on every eldar, the chest plate hoverer does not cover the thing on his chest, it more shapes AROUND it. For his lower parts you can make something which seems like a wraithbone belt which is connected to the kilt thing he have hanging down, on that belt thing you can add some of the heretics chains with skulls on which can seem like trophies of Khaine's victims. And for his head it looks like his helmet is a part of his entire head and face. (like the deformed new Guardsmen and their helmets :S) Khaine got various apperances but some of them he got a helmet, then why not give khaine a fitting helmet? but near his face it got an opening a bit bigger than the spartan helmets from 300. Khaine will look huge and yet well armed and more to be feared upon the field as he march his way to his kin's glory.
Imperial Guardsmen, THIS I kinda find a bit important myself because Imperial Guard is Imperial Guard. Use the Chaos Rising IG models, like Shuma's beautiguard mod. Remove the legplates on the regular guardsmen and the gauntlets. Give them regular IG helmets, REGULAR! No visor, no goggles and no kasrkin mask even attached at the model. Remove the ammo belt from their shoulder but leave the ammo belt atleast. For their legs you can remove their plates yes, but the knee armor parts can stay. For the Sargeant you can add the stripes you can see on the Krieg DLC sargeants or make your own to add on their shoulders. Give them the same armour as the guardsmen just without the helmet and give them the gauntlets as extra armor. Catachans are jungle warriors indeed but rather naked, add a armor plate under their jackets like the commissar's armour and add same kind of pauldrons the Sluggas get in lvl 1 when you reach army lvl 3, then you place the Imperial Guard Eagle upon both pauldrons on each shoulders. Then you toast with a bottle of prometium for well geared dudes.
Kasrkins are my favorite, please add them instead of stormtroopers, then you I could not help to notice the models you added on the Bacilisk altelery. You can use those, and to them you give the Kasrkin Guns and such. Then you add the ammo shoulder thing that shuma got on the beautiguard, knife on their back or on their belt (belt will fit better because of the guns) the double plated pauldrons they got on the beautiguard. (or you can place the knife sheath on their right arm gauntlet so it looks like they can easily quickdraw) And the goggles on the forehead on their helmet ofcourse with the visor covering their eyes.
Note that these ideas I have cast in now are ideas which can be normal wargear online playable mods aswell, just to make sure someone might wanna make them xD (selfish hope that is, like an Ork ;D)
For being playable for the mod only you should give the factions some extra fancy stuff.
Give the Orkz a looted Baneblade and looted carnifex.
SM could have whirlwind altelery (and boost their venerable dread if its unbalanced)
Tyranidz can have a Trygon (if possible)
And for Imperial Guard I got a small T1 idea, Melee Kasrkins with chainsword and lazpistol (powersword for sargeant). Equipted with stun nade and frag nade. Abilites can be frag and stun nades, Speed up which also increases ranged damage resistance and cloak. Since they are well equipted Kasrkins ment for melee they can be a good counter to supression, ranged units and light melee, and for T2 they can get Melta Nades so they wont be so useless then either. Tho they are not that good in blobs since they are normal humans depending on melee combat training. I know its not a tabletop thing but IG should have more than just Ogryns as Melee.
And faction suggestion, Adeptus Arbites. Just a suggestion tho xD

Hey I got alot more ideas if ya need 'em.
For the new preview models however I think you should drop the shoulder spikes on the slugga boyz and add the body plates the Sticbombaz got instead, Sluggas are cheap normal Orkz that is not bothered to be spendt to much recourses on. For the Kommandoz add the same body plates but give them a knife sheathed on their belt and maybe some extra spikey shootaz since they are Kommandoz they need proppa shootaz.
And for Stickbombaz, they are very little geared up, maybe if you add the Burna Boy mask which sluggas with flame thrower got and add the slugga boy shoulder armour they get in army lvl 3, atleast then they will look badass.
The Deff Dread looks much Deffier and more dreadfull now indeed, but those missile pods on the top is bigger than the dread itself o.O Maybe if you shrink 'em just a little bit like the Warboss gun and adds the army emblem effect on each one of them, like army emblem you choose in army painter appears ontop of it.
Weirdboyz new mask is actually sweet :P and maybe if you add the chains he got on his back to hang over his shoulders in the front? Or you can add various armour plates with Ork skullz and ork decoration on it that he looks light armoured and very flashy weird like. But the stormboyz are just perfect xD got nothing else to say about them xD The new hammer and the nob is also perfect, just as I imagen! (the hammer I mean)
Looterz are well fitting aswell, good to see they wont be the exact same model as Shootaz. To the Mekboy you can add a slugga pistol sheathed on his hip (or the Last Stand DLC Rocket pistol) and another monkey wrench on the other side like if that was his melee weapon.
