look pretty good
do you have plans to make some german infantry skins ?
I also like these skins. They are really looking pretty good. And I'm also, like @Slipson, interested in skins for the other existing factions.![]()

Those US skins look great! I too would be interested in seeing what you can do for the German skins... especially if you skinned the Axis as Waffen-SS, with their large variety of camouflage patterns.
This is what the grenadier and stormtrooper currently look like:
Tell me if something is not historically correct.

Well Splinter Camouflage trousers are historical, and it looks pretty cool. However the Jacket and trousers don't match so well at the moment. Better to darken the Splinter Camouflage and make it more worn just like the Jacket.
Here are the current Axis skins:
Tell me if something isn't right, or something you don't like. (Also, the 2nd guy form the left is the Knights Crossholder)
The Panzer Elite will be the Waffen SS super duper camouflage bomb.
looking good, only the splinter seems bit bright can you tune it to look more like this

Okay.
How about this?:

How do i fix multiple faces?
Oh darn, sorry for double post.
If it's a model mix, then you need to alpha out heads and hands from one of the textures. Looks great otherwise.

Good job mate, you've made a couple of really decent skins. Keep it up!
Tankbusters now have variations thanks to tankdestroyers Tankbuster variation RGM!
Some really nice work you have going on here! I'll be following this one eagerly. Love your choice of uniforms and coherent look both in the American and Wehrmacht skins. Hope you are able to make them look a bit more worn and weathered. Keep up the good work!
That's some quality work there, mate. Are they in original resolution or in higher? Just wondering..
These are some really great skins, fantastic work. Have you any plans on attacking the Commonwealth uniforms at some point to complete the package?

Wow, the camouflage patterns for the Waffen-SS skins are great! as are your final Wehrmacht camouflage patterns.
The collars on the Volksgrenadier and Tankbuster shouldn't be black, they should the the same colour as the rest of the tunic (jacket), which it looks like your going for a dark grey. I also think the grey of their uniforms is too grey for war-time uniforms. That plain grey colour was only really used on pre-war uniforms. Sure, some pre-war uniforms were used right the war for one reason or another, and they were common enough really early, like for the Poland and France campaigns. But for most of the war, the uniforms had a pretty strong greenish tint to them, kind of like a grey-green colour.
Pre-war M36 tunic (field grey tunic, with bottle-green collar and shoulder boards) would be Wehrmacht early war issue.

Wartime M40 tunic (sleeve patch and shoulder boards suggest a police or border unit?)

Wartime M40 tunic (matching shoulder boards, red piping suggests panzergrenadier?)

I also think the pattern on the helmet covers and the PGren's oakleaf jacket are just a little too small, but it's hard to tell seeing them on a small model and comparing them to what i have.
Tigertanker@ No, the resolution is 1024x1024 like it first was.
Escofforeality@ Actually yes, after the Whermacht and Panzer Elite are done i'm gonna reskin the commonwealth too.
Lethal Dosage@ I'll make em a bit more greenish and re-scale the Oakleaf.
Btw, thanks for all the nice comments guys, i never expected it to be this good!

It's been a while since we had an infantry skinner showing his work, and as far as infantry skins go, yours are pretty good, by any standard.
Another thought, the MP40 magazine pouches (small angled set of black pouches) on the Pioneers, Tankbusters, and Fallschirmjager should be reskinned, as those black leather ones are wrong. I think they should be reskinned to either be the same as the the larger STG44 pouches of the Tankbuster, or something like these.

The ones for the European theater were generally made of green canvas (the colour varied slightly through the war) and had black leather fittings. Torpical ones for the North African theater were green or tan canvas with brown leather fittings. Those used by the Luftwaffe were also green canvas with brown leather fittings.
Awesome work here, its been a bit since we had brand new refreshing thread to cheer on. Hope to see a new skin pack for the Jerries soon.
Well....! it was grape juice!!
Holy ...! That looks awesome, nice find mate. Will be good for the 17th paras, eh?![]()

Great ! Looking forward to seeing more then !. And well what sort of ideas you have with Fallschirmjaegers, Knights cross and the Luftwaffe ground troops :P
too bad we dont have random luftwaffe textures, because 4 diffrent skins like on the picture will be awsome.
#34
Perhaps he makes those ? And can't see the Fallschirmjaeger one :/
@Slipsontoo bad we dont have random luftwaffe textures, because 4 diffrent skins like on the picture will be awsome.
There are random luftwaffe files out there I have them and they work well. See below.
I have modified them a bit but the base model is Luftwaffe Ground Troops.
I will try to find the link.
Found it:

It would be cool if you could make some skins for the Commonwealth infantry. They surely need some love..
These are some great quality skins, i hope to see a download link in the future.![]()
"Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what its done for you lately"
I love those Volks, I cant stand the Vanilla ones with those annoying field caps.
Great job mate![]()

Great looking skins your making here, I also like the field caps but prefer them random for both helmets and caps
#42
I was already using those. :3
Btw, can somebody tell me what DXT to save a normal map with? I already did it with DXT5 interpolated alpha[or whatever] and Haltrack said i had to have the MIP levels to medium.... but i can't find a table with high, medium and low, so then i just halfed all the numbers that were in the MIP levels generation thing.
Btw, here's some stuff i did for Eliw00d's mod Fortress Europe and some skins are also for public release here:

In Photoshop, when saving as .dds, a window will pop-up, and there you can simply set it to "Generate Mipmaps". Should be enough, as well as saving from .dds to .rgt with miplevels.
