Editing the chaos lord/demon prince textures

    Chaos Editing the chaos lord/demon prince textures

    Hi, I've been trying to edit these textures with varying amounts of success. All seem to work fine except for during the fall from the spire. I can only find an entry for cinematic_demon_prince to change his head, which works fine for the cutscene before the fall, but after that it reverts back to Nemeroth's typical appearance. I dont suppose anyone has any idea if he uses a new texture for falling?

    Welp, there's a demon_prince_injured dds in chunks. It doesn't look all too similar to the demon prince's face during the fall scene, but it's the only logical explination as to why all the demon prince attr_pc files point to the edited cinematic_demon_prince file and yet it refuses to load. The file path is chunks\ebp_sets__daemon_prince, and doesn't show up in packages.xml. I don't suppose anyone could make a guess as to what the file path should be in preview? Had a fiddle with the wargear file, trying to change the demon head to the typical chaos lord head. Worked for the cutscene, but not the fall. So the falling demon prince uses a different wargear file?

    well I noticed a file named ebp_sets__daemon_prince.oppc in the chunks folder which read

    <Key>ebp_name</Key>
    <Type>String</Type>
    <Data>ebps\race_chaos\units\boss\demon_prince</Data>

    so I whacked out a sim\attributes\instances\ebps\race_chaos\units\boss\demon_prince and put the edited dds files in to mimic those of chunks\ebp_sets__daemon_prince to little success. Is this even the right way to go about it? I'm in way over my head

    I've searched thru the data folder for obvious signs of the chaos lord/daemon prince model, but the only things I've found so far are the cinematic heads and the one in the chunks folder that you found. In any case, the one from the chunks folder does provide all the meshes and textures for the daemon prince only. Whether it's for cinematic or ingame, I havent figured out yet. Then again, the boss fight was generally just an interactive cinematic, so I don't think there's really any ingame model for the daemon prince.

    The extracted directory from ebp_sets__daemon_prince.oppc is 'art\race_chaos\characters\demon_prince\demon_prince_body', so whatever textures you have should go in that directory. Might as well put in all the other daemon_prince files that were extracted too, just to keep everything together. Also the demon_prince_injured.dds is definitely from the boss fight; remember Titus gives Nemeroth quite the facial punishment during the fight.
