    The reason why people thought it was allowed to use MoW models is because Loran Korn was here. And apparently he worked for them (never got an official confirmation myself though, but I take it from other peoples words) as a modeler, so he could use his models and stuff.

    As far as i know Loran did not work for them.

    And to be blatantly honest here, did not say where the models had come from .

    I did not find out till i had an argument with Sweeten, which i wont go through the specifics of, when there were some 20 plus models that he had which i was asked to sort the uv map and seperate into individual mesh parts for compile and annimation into COH .

    Seems we are going down this road and seems no one is willing to listen. After 2 years of keeping my trap shut about it ill say what needs to be said.

    Why do you think im redoing models that have been in circulation or available for over 2 years.

    Plus i was told they were all new models with some mix parts from relics models, yet when i unwrapped them and the non mixed parts, i found partial uv maps on all of them that were all destroyed in the same way, ie wrapped round each other in a ball shape.

    At that point i refused to have anything more to do with it.

    You can read what you like into it. But i drew my own conclusion right or wrong and refused to have anything more to do with it. (Also Beefy^ aka Dean or my son was told by sweeten more specific details of which ones were from MoW and which were not and so i refused to work on all of them) .

    All of that is irrelivent when you look at the facts, which are MoW models are not allowed to be used in COH modding. models include theyre skins and textures, no matter how altered, unless you have theyre permission. And i seriously doubt it will be given.

    The only permission given anywhere for anything was an unofficial one in theyre own community modding forum, saying that community made models could be shared as long as the authors had no personal objection to it. Simply put, if you wanted to use a model, made by one of thyre moddding community for MoW, as long as the author gave permission and it contained no origional MoW parts ect ,you could do so. If you want to troll theyre forums and dig it up, and assuming theyre database runs back two years you may find it.

    Don't be angry or anythings mates, it was only a simple misunderstood at start and some people imported models from MoW or used that stuff to create their own, so now i think it's okay for everybody, for those who want to pass through the MoW dev's interdiction it's their own problem, on my side i'll just close the meserschmitt download as it seems to be the begining of this discussion.

    The life is cool, so be cool too, now that things have been cleared up everything will be okay... i hope

    Just to make things clear, this is our official rule on using other people's work...

    Unless you can prove that you have the owner's permission to use the stuff, YOU MUST NOT USE IT. There are no exceptions to that, and it is clearly spelled out in our guidelines. If there is nothing in a readme file saying that something can be used then you need to contact the owner and get their permission BEFORE you use it.

    If we get reasonable evidence that somebody has used stuff without permission then you could be banned from these forums. We take theft of IP seriously.

    Don't know if you're talking to me or just warn everybody about foum rules, but if you point me i just have to say that i've stolen nothing from the begining of this thread, every thing i've done was released with proper credits accordings to the people who helped me aswell as i've never released any stuff without asking permission (and getting it) before.

    The messerschmitt problem is that it is a MoW texture i've reskined and i didn't been aware of the problems wich could passed throughout it, cause with the release of Burton's BF 109 from MoW i though it was fully safe

    But it wasn't, now all is fixed and i think that every people on this thread are aware of the rules around there...

    Does this mean that any body is allowed to use the MC trees in their mods with permission I'm guessing or is it just a texture to replace the one in MC?

    this include the model itself to avoid people extracting the model from MC, and to avoid people to make their own point to the new textures too, and it aslo include the textures, wich are finally the only thing i've realy modified ^^

    Darkbladerc said that i could release those, and remember that in this thread (http://forums.relicnews.com/showthre...4864-palm-tree) DB said that when MC will be released, the palmtrees could be available for public ^^ So yeah, to avoid any problem with this, YES WE CAN haha

    But do not forget to give credits to MC's team for this model and it's animations !

    I did a specular and glossiness texture using Relic's original ones, so it looks better, and i totaly fixed the normalmap, so if you want me to send you those files and then upload an updated version of your model and textures, just pm me

    Well, i did a realy little update for the axis building pack, wich only fix the alpha cut out of the secure structure'flag So if you already downloaded the pack, just the axis structure's diffuse have been modified

    As i rushed a bit the release i didn't found the way to optimize the quality of the texture when rendered on this soooooooooooo bad model

    This was me - lol. I would take a look, why it should be impossible to add writing. I'm still not sure, but the original linkes to a non existing (dif) texture, so I can't imagine what's really wrong. That's all.

    Yeah, it links to a non existing file but when you look at the model in the worldbuilder you see with the lettering on the grey texture (wich says : motor pool ^^) how the texture is rendered on the model itself, and you see that this texture (wich looks like the one used by the HQ marker and other thing like this, anyway, i though ) could be a simple square wich is rendered with a big deformation and flipped + used on the wrong sens

    So after this conclusion i did a 256 x 64 texture (yep, not a square, so it avoid to have too many distorsion) using a mix up of 2 different wooden texture made by Relic so it avoid having a texture wich don't looks like other Relic made texture (like the first one you downloaded ).

    Here you go with this new panther texture based on one of the best panther's texture available around there, made by Xalibur, wich i've heavilly modified to feature a late war panther ausf. G with full steel wheels and road type tracks.

    Hmm as it use the default model made by DMZ and Eli i just have to said that yeah it's already possible

    You just have to check the ebps's .rgd i give into the package and then replace the ausf. G variation (into the action_apply_ext) to the ausf. D one

    The only thing is that your ausf. D will have ausf. G type wheels... also that the camo is typic for ausf. G models, so i don't think that an ausf. D will be soooo historical with this texture... anyway i'll do it for you asap with correct wheels mate ^^

    By the way i've reworked a bit the download page :

    - moved pantherturm pack into "axis's candies"
    - moved mine markers to "Miscellaneaousssss"

    ... but i didn't post this only to say that i've moved some thing of course

    I've done a new texture for the geschutzwagen, cause after all what i know, except MrScruff's one, there no grey texture for it, and it was an unfinished grey texture left in Relic's files, so here is the result, not a miracle but hope you like it

    As far as I know yes, the GW was originally intended to be a reward unit for the Marder III, but they moved it to Wehr at some phase of the designing progress.

    Well quite a nice idea, however as the GW already is a Wehr Call-in in BtB, it would look a bit stupid to give it to the PE as well. However we are thinking of reintroducing the Nashorn as reward for the Marder. Being more powerful, but fires slower, to retain simular DPM.
