That would have been better and would have fitted more with his character from ME2

That would require they not make shit up as they went along, which is detrimental in any form of media, but especially so in games.

These logs pretty much recon what has been said before, as most conversations concerning Shepard are speculation where as these are definitive records.
You know I found those right? I was pointing out the games contradicted themselves on Shepard's survival.

That would have been better and would have fitted more with his character from ME2
Still want it to be he was making a Reaper.

e: Just beat ME1 again. Even with some gameplay issues (Adepts can seriously be killed in one hit by a sniper or a rocket for virtually the whole game, even with advanced barrier), I think I like it the best. I like the tone and atmosphere, I still enjoy the Mako, and I think the plot worked the best in it. Plus the sweet synth riffs and M4 part 2 by Faunts (the credits song) rules. Also its amazing how much sci-fi references I didn't catch since even the last time I played. The Asari are basically half Bene Gesserit in ME1, for example. The bonding ritual being forehead touching which transfers "genetic memory" gives it away. I mean, the entire Mass Effect universe is literally just bits and pieces of all other sci-fi ever, but its amusing to find new references and bits, even some one-liners are references to other stuff like Firefly, like in a random planet's description.

I don't remember it off-hand, someone else had found it. There's apparently more than one in the series though if Google is any indication.

I'd pay for ending DLC if I got to fight that smug reaper bastard; Harbinger, win and have a victory parade in my honour including medal ceremony, spend a night with the Love interest without the risk of dying the following day and follow it all up with a couple of drinks with Garrus on some beach.
Implying Garrus isn't your love interest... which means you're doing it wrong.

Part of me wanted Zaeed to be saying Gorram suicide everytime.

    It would've suited him.

Well at least we're getting something that'll try explain what happened in the already poor ending. I was more annoyed at why my squad mates were suddenly in space even though I'm pretty sure they were with me running towards the space lift getting zapped at by Harbinger.. Why was the Normandy flying away? Polishing a turd is a good way to describe what the Extended Cut will probably be. Shame really because I really liked the rest of the game..

    I made a game! :D Clicky!

Yeah I was just posted it to show that the game didn't really have any contradictions when it came to the heart of the matter. All info we gather about Shepard's survival is mostly complete speculation up until this vid log, which provides solid evidence that Shep was a corpse until they basically re-spawned him. The mystery disappeared when we were shown that video. Its also worth pointing out the comics of Liara and her pal whatshisface rescuing Shepard's corpse from the shadow broker pretty much confirm the log, and those are useful as they also were there when Shep was in that state. Though it has been a while since I read those. Miranda turned up a little after the res was under-way I think, so everything in ME2 is speculative to a point.

Yeah the Reaper thing would have been good, much more interesting than the side story we got

E: those pics are awesome Fish OF Doom, reading through them now. lulz indeed

Except for the people who worked on the project in 2 who state Shepard wasn't totally dead. But this spergfest is not what I intended from that line, so I'll drop it if you will.

Also the comics are kind of dumb and make various things dumber. Know how TIM got his eyes? He stared at a reaper indoctrination device. He's been totally indoctrinated all along! Saren was there too.

    FU money grabbing...

    Seriously, VEGA's getting an anime?

You're kidding right? (Directed at EA)

    Mass Effect: Evolution.
Mass Effect Wikia is very detailed on the series. I might give it a read, just to see what they say about his being Reaper influenced. Or I could just buy it. Or... *looks at wallet* Hm wikia will do.

  23. #173
Why the fuck would Roid-rage Vega get his own anime?

Most likely because Vega has less of a backstory established that they can screw up.

Though honestly Garrus or Anderson should have one. Imagine if the mission where Saren destroyed Anderson's Spectre chance was explored.

  25. #175
You really want to have that? I'm rather sure they'd turn that into a Ben 10 plot and still somehow screw it up.

Unrelated - I still want to meet the guy responsible for Garrus' voice acting and give him a crate of beer.

The mission where Saren messed up Anderson's Spectre chance was actually covered in the first book.

I agree though, that would still have been better than something about Vega. Didn't hate the guy, but there was really no reason for him to be there either. Took up a slot that should have gone to someone a bit more interesting.

hey, don't pick on vega, he's a cool guy

besides, could be worse, it could be about kai leng, then we could watch him eating stylized anime cereal.

  29. #179
Kai Leng was featured in a book as well already. Explained where he got his silly legs from and his clash with Anderson.

Same, but I didn't really think that a lack of backstory detracted from Kai Leng. Gauging by the name I figured he was of Chinese ethnicity (which he is), but the encounter between Anderson and Kai Leng which is referenced in the game is hardly missed. He's just an Assassin character, lethal, and a dick. I want him dead. Killing him was very satisfying.

i just wanted my shepard to keep stabbing him over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. then maybe to piss on his corpse or something and take his skull as a trophy.

but that's just because i'm a bloodthirsty morbid bastard

    ----------

hell, i'd have settled for actually killing him with his own blade. now THAT'd have been a renegade interrupt worth doing

Interrupts were far less common in ME3 than ME2- ME2 trained me to have twitchy interrupt fingers, and as a result sometimes it's hard to resist an interrupt, especially when you see KAI LENG COMING UP BEHIND YOU TRYING- LEFT CLICK SPAM

wait, no, i know! take kai leng's body to the normandy and give him over for the aquarium VI to use as fish food, then have his cybernetics appear inside the fish tank!

    ok, i'll stop now.

What I want to know is where Shepard makes that face in the game; I don't recall seeing it anywhere, and it's too silly not to notice.

Apparently from the codex in ME1...

EDIT: This discussion about it before ME2 is hilarious to read, one of the first posts basically calls the ending to ME3

    6th post:

    Darnalak wrote...

That...Would...SUCK Would turn all of Shepard's (and everyone elses) struggle into a sideline.

Exactly. There are two endings I wouldn't like for ME 3. One being a random GOD LIKE force that saves the Galaxy or another being that to defeat the Reapers, everyone has to become a primitivst and destroy the Relays, Citadel, etc. Both would make me pretty unhappy as those endings have been done to death.
