They do? hmm they shouldnt. Is this in the army painter or in the game? Which commander do you have selected when this is happening?
in-game, they have the IG faces and goggles. The rest of the body is all Tau tho.
hmm doesnt seem to happen for me maybe you have a ig sga file in yur mods folder that may be conflicting with it wait ig faces, goggles you wouldnt happen to have shumas cr guardsmen.sga in your mods folder do ya cos that may be conflicting with the tau stuff go have a lookie you never know i may be wrong

It wasn't just me tho when I was playing. Not using any other IG mods either.
True, any sga files in the gameassets/mods folder can consist of art files that will overwrite any mod artwork files.

Ah i know what it is. I bet its because of your online score which has added upgrades to your account. For example, when i made the ebps of the tau firewarriors, i made a copy of the ig_guardsmen, and once you get a certain level with them(in this case it looks like 9 ) or greater, it will change out something on the model with another model, in this case for guardsmen at level 9 they get different heads, and this property still exists on the tau_firewarrior ebps. This is a pretty easy fix ill just have to go through all the ebps and delete that value so that peoples online scores wont effect how the model is displayed.

Fixed. Aparently the firewarriors and heavy weapon squads were the only units effected by that. I thought i had gotten them all but i guess i missed a couppleThe tau heavy weapon squad members look like they get an ammo pouch or bandolier after level 2. This will be resolved for when I have an update for the mod. Er it looks like chaos terminators are having a similar issue, which i just fixed. Anyone with a high online level, the chaos terminators might have marine purity seals and such. I dont think they would care much for those things ><

I've downloaded the .exe and it's appeared to have installed itself, how do we actually get it to work !? the destroyer mod .exe can't locate my DOW.exe.

Steam starts to update to 1% then I get the server is busy and error code 41 - help really appreciated!
I have ran across this issue in the past while trying to run many different mods, and have found a coupple different methods in order to resolve this. First, try turning on/off or off/on UAC on your system. Instructions on how to do so can be found here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...trol-on-or-off .If this does not work, try shutting down steam, restarting steam, and then running the mod shortcut exactly 2 seconds after restarting steam. Also, is steam (and the mod) installed under c:/program files or c:/program files (x86) ?

Thank you sir, im glad you like the mod. As far as for Necrons, I started working on it as a seperate mod back before I started on getting my mod set up so that it can be useable by the public. I would of course like to add them into my mod as a seperate playable race, similar to how I set it up with the tau /imp guard, but I believe I was going to set it up like that with necrons / tyranids, and have the necron lord replace the ravener alpha. I know Shuma's been pretty busy lately and I havent seen him on much, and Horus is MIA atm too. The only other model I have right now that was still being worked on by shuma is the Necron Lord, and I believe he was going to be finishing up the animations for that, as well as for his necron warriors and the HQ.
Yeah sorry, i've been pretty busy with other stuff so i haven't had the chance to do anything for the Necrons in awhile.

i would assume, as long as you arn't touching anything in TLS, using the art assets would be fine, since you buy the DLC for the TLS characterThat is a good question. Can the tau commanders animations from the DLC be used in public mods? If so, then what else from dlc is useable in mods? Everything except for the model and textures? What about icons, fx etc? Im technically at the point of boycotting DLC in general but being able to use the bones and animations from tls dlc would help a lot.
Hmm interesting. Well if thats the case, then its possible that all of tau commander assets from tls could be used for mp games. The model, weapon models, their textures, animations, and fx. Ill see if i can find out more about it.
Next on the agenda, Grey KnightsWill post some screenshots soon.
Spent a coupple days working on the halberd and the animations for it and its complete. Ill need to add in a few more things but the basics are in and working, as well as animations for a 2 handed polearm weapon. This set of Grey Knight armour is courtsey of Hadrun, utilizing the free dlc imperial fists commander aegis armour. I have also found a new way to add in another new 'race' with seperate units and abilities. The HQ will have an upgrade button just above the tier 2 upgrade, and clicking on this will swap out any of the selected marine commanders with a Grey Knight commander, and will remove all the space marine units from the HQ, replacing them with Grey Knight squads. GK terminator animations are complete, though i may change a coupple things on the stance. Ill be adding in a Deamon Hammer and 2 Handed Sword for GK's and termi's to use as well, with seperate animations for them. Will also be working on Incinerators, Psycannons, and Psilencers as squad upgrades. Squads ill be adding in will be Stormtroopers(to replace scouts) Grey Knights(tac),GK Interceptors(assault),GK Purgation(devastators), GK Dreadnought, GK terminators, GK Paladins(will be a sort of command squad), rhinos and land raider/crusader variants.

This mod deserves so much more attention. The games I've had with friends and "competetive" players has been absolutely wicked. I vouch this as a supporting modification for the future of this games development. I'm pysched for the Grey Knights, they're also one of my favorite units and etc;

The combat with the nemesis halberd will use the 2handed mace attacks that the chaos lord has. I have created some custom animations to go with this for weapon firing effects, in which they turn their left forearm inward 90 degrees, and the right arm holds the halberd staff out in front of them as if leaning on it slightly, as in the 2 screenshots a few posts above. Ill post a video of them in action when im done with the textures. Should be another day or 2. Working on grey knights is making be have to brush up on my latin ><
Ill also be adding in a Nemesis Deamon Hammer which will use similar animations, but ill have to create some seperate firing animations for this as well. For the Nemesis Blade ill have to do most of the animations from scratch.
Hey Bloodravage Im new to the game and all but i cant get the mod to work. For some reason i can have it set up to launch like
"C:\Program Files (x86)\dawn of war ii - retribution\DOW2.exe" -nomovies -Destroyer40k
If i leave it as -modname destroyer40k it will not work just says error and want even start
and i dont believe its even running when i start it the way its set up but im pretty sure the mod is not running. If you can help or anyone can help that would be great thanks and Your mod looks great.
Its possible to see the justicar, the Grand Master, Chaplain, librarian, the brotherhood champion and the techmarine of the grey knights?
I mean, The Whole chapter's armory and grey knights from diferents ranks and units?

@ Outofit08 - What is the error message you are getting? is it one of those 'steam failed to launch at 1%' messages? if so, you may need to disable and then re-enable user account control on your system. Does the regular version of the game run from that same shortcut if you remove the -modname destroyer40k command? Also, where do you have the game installed to? is it under the defualt directory under steam/steamapps/common/dawn of war ii - retribution?
@ Darklordzx - i do plan on having multiple seperate units as well as seperate commanders with abilities and wargear different from space marines. In the beginning when i first launch the new version of this mod, i plan on having basic troops with basic abilities somewhat similar to marines, so i can add mroe and balance it out later on. Units i plan on adding in at first will be one commander, havent quite decited yet, may either be an inquisitor, champion or terminator champion. Yes the normal game will run and i have it in "C:\Program Files (x86)\dawn of war ii - retribution" i changed the directory but still no change the problem is that i cant start the game with any -modname in it for some reason
if i put -dev its cool or even -destroyer40k but of course the game runs but not the mod and i dont know how to get the game to run with -modname in it unless i remove the space in between -modname^destroyer40k

what is the error you keep getting when you try and start it up? have you tried disabling user account control within windows(or enabling if its already disabled)?
hey outofit08,you can try this i take you got the launch icon on your desktop correct?
now right click the icon and a run as administrator will show up in the list there click that and it lanch game .should be why your having trouble man.hope this helps you out.
