DO YOU SMELL THE SMELLS, TOO?!!?
Add me on Steam - ArbitUH. Don't EVEN bother adding me on GFWL
Where's me squig ointment reference in my sig... oh
While I really hope DoW 3 keeps its "super customizable armies!" promise, there's something that has even higher priority for me: Good singleplayer AND not requiring an Internet connection just to launch the game.
Living on literally a corner of the planet (and a 3rd world corner that is) doesn't allow for what you'd call decent ISP choices.
I wish I could have the epic lag on spess mehreen everyone complains about... can't even stay connected longer than 2 min... >(
Edit-y edit: I can play online, but I usually get obscene amounts of lag with US/Europe players. The literal over nine thousand miles distance in between doesn't help me thinks. Hamachi comes in handy though.
Unfortunately for me, a game that's not 80% (or more) about multiplayer is a rare sight nowadays.

If you don't have an Internet connection that allows for MP gaming, why do you buy games with large MP components?
That said, if you want to play SP games offline on Steam, simply restart into Offline Mode (and stay there as long as you want)!
I am an Iron Warrior! Iron Within, Iron Without!
Do any of you guys get together and do custom games? Search times are pretty meh, and chatting with people while playing would be nice.
I basically haven't played DoW2 in forever because I have no one to play with, randoms on the internets don't do it for me.
Huh? Smelly Space Vikings? Space Wolves? Can you Smell something? that's the smell of some Smelly Space Vikings Fighting against Blue Automatons Power Armours controlled by foul sorcery in the next Dawn of war

Excepted this, THQ announced during the GamesCom 2011 that DoW3 will be a mix of previous volumes (building + tactical) including a better army editor, and a persistant world. About this last point, it is no longer confirmed today because we know how has finished the project CoHO ^^
I'm excited to have first info because I expect this game with anticipation. I only regret that Relic does not continue to develop DLC (or free content) for Dow2. There're so many things to add but unfortunately it's finish since October 2011 with the spread of the Tau Commander (I think the most successful DLC). Same for Space Marine, the game, nothing since a long time whereas Relic could develop new single player campaigns offered as DLC (new adventures under 3/4 chapters). It's a shame that Relic (which if we believe are real fan of Warhammer 40000) do not develop new content in waiting the great DoW3 ^^
I hope that Relic will read my comment and will offer us a little something (sold as a DLC) for Dow2 during the Christmas season !

Please check for existing threads before posting.
1. Most of the DoW II team have been made redundant or shifted onto CoH 2.
2. There is no current information on the development of DoW III - and no, interviews prior to Danny Bilson stepping down/THQ restructuring their portfolio do not count anymore.
That's what I say, there are no real information exept that doW3 will use the graphical engine from CoH2 ^^

DoW III does not currently exist in any format and thus assumptions with regards to the engine (which may not include melee combat and other related DoW mechanics) are somewhat premature.
The fact that DoW II support doesn't exist means that future DLC for DoW II will not happen, I'm afraid.
You must not have been here for the Soulstorm blackout.![]()
