    Kind of a weird problem

I just reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled windows along with my programs. Installed Company of Heroes. Now when I exit the game to windows I get a window that says:

    Game exited
Do you want to keep downloading?
    yes no

Does anyone know what causes this? What it is? How to get rid of it?

I believe it's an automatic update with the last but one patch. As far as I ever understood it, it was a way of crowd-sourcing the patch to take some of the weight off of relic servers when the patch initially went live. I've never experienced any problems resulting from it - just click no and it goes away.

It is Relic downloader which is started always together with game. Its role is to check your game version and download latest patches if needed...

I remember that i got into same situation after windows reinstallation. Downloader was not closed after quit from game and i closed it manually. It is being closed automatically from that time.

So i think your "problem" is already solved too ;-)

I'll move this over to Tech Assistance, but the answer is what the guys said above. One of the patches around 2.300 introduced the Relic Downloader as a way to distribute patches by torrent. I'm not sure that it ever really worked correctly, but it's also pretty harmless. If you get the message again just press "No" and it shuts itself down.

Ok thanks. There's been no problem with it and I guess it bothers my ocd more than anything.
