Okay, people... it's that time again.
It's time for a new gaming rig. After seven years of continuesly upgrading my faithful gaming desktop which carried me through university gaming and work-wise, it definitly has hit the wall. It's time for a new one now that I started the live of a hard-working productive citizen... and those games that won't run on my rig the way I want them to run is piling up lately.
Problem is, I am sooo out of the loop concerning recent hardware development, I need help. So I come to you guys.
Budget is about 1500-2000 Euros, incl. a new widescreen monitor. But before goin right down to business, could someone bring me up to speed on the essentials - CPU and GPU? What's the latest? Anyone got helpful insights which sites to check for benchmarks etc?
