    Shader question

    Hey all,

    I've added new turret models to an existing ship model in CFHODEd. It shows perfectly O.K. in that and when I load up the game, however when you move the camera, in certain angles the turret models become totally black. I've been through each LOD, hit "Re-material", hit "Re-normal" but nothing appears to work. I use Shader 2.0 for the record. Any ideas what's causing this and, more importantly, any ideas how I can fix this, please?

    The game can only use 6 (I think) lighting effects at a time. Exceeding this limit will result in what you are seeing.

    If you are using normal maps, it could be because v4 of CFHodEd doesn't calculate normals correctly and you have to save every ship with CFHodEd Tangent (v3).

    At least you have to import the models with V3 and then you could do everything else with V4.
    But I would suggest to use Transform and scale of V3 - I don't trust V4 in this point.
