    Try removing the MG stuff from the gunner and put commonmeshes.abp there instead.

    Although it should still work with how you are doing it, here is how I have mine setup:

    has to be
    "FE\\Weapons\\LIGHT_MACHINEGUNS",

    same as things like this [[..\..\Weapons\German\Small_Arms\MG_42_HMG\MG_42_HMG_Sync]],

    should look like this "..\..\Weapons\German\Small_Arms\MG_42_HMG\MG_42_HMG_Sync",

    after changing all those lines it should work.

    made the same mistake once.

    edit: eli how it comes it work for you with the entries like that?

    You are probably not familiar with the Lua programming language, but [[ and ]] are used for strings of characters when you do not want to use escape characters, such as \\ for a \. Since Lua is an inherent part of Company of Heroes, it should work like this for everyone.

    When you say it doesn't work for you, what do you mean? What does it do? How many of you have the same issue with [[ and ]]? I am not sure why that would not work for everyone, as we all have the same game.

    it doesnt read the animations and stuff with:

    [[FE\Weapons\LIGHT_MACHINEGUNS]],

    but works when setup like the vcoh entries.

    "FE\\Weapons\\LIGHT_MACHINEGUNS",

    dont know why its like that.

    also run into that problem when seting up the apb files to use my custom bazooka.rgo

    I am not sure what the cause is. I will take a look at things on my end, but I have not noticed it disappearing.

    the problem with mg34/42 is intriguing, I follow the steps in the readme and not working properly.
    the lmg34/42 works fine.

    I can provide you with the attrib files I use, but somehow I don't think it would help. The unfortunate thing is that when your mod uses a lot of custom models made by different people, there are bound to be conflicts. Did they work before you installed the M1919A4 and M2HB or did you install the MG 34 and 42 afterwards?

    before installing the M2HB and M1919A4 used the original MG42 model, and the MG34 old model. I was forced to replace them with new, due to conflict between them.

    Dartborne try changing your settings to high instead of ultra. And then increase the model detail slider all the way to the right.

    The problem may simply because there are no LODs setup and your system is not loading the mesh.

    Bizarre. [[ and ]] are native to Lua, so they should work without issue.

    Guys here`s my result:

    I`ve got EVERYTHING to work but it was A LOT of tweaking. I`ve spend the whole evening yesterday to get this to work properly. I had to use all new weapon files with the new folder structure etc. And I must agree with nachocheese & Zupadupadude that the [[...]] thing isn`t working for me either! I`ve changed everything to ""..."" and now it works. I`m also using the -dev parameter. Regarding the MG gunners abp: I`ve removed the vanilla sync entry and added the commonmeshes like Eli suggested.

    I wonder if it is because I am using LuaExtCore as my DLL? I really can't think of any other reason.

    i believe that its because you are using the luaextcore.dll and everybody else isnt so unfortunately its going to require a change to the conevention useing "..//.." in order to be released for public use.

    I tried everything, even what @xalibur says, but I haven't run correctly the new Mg's, especially the MG34/42. I'll leave it and remove these amazing models.

    After hours trying to track down a missing RGM through the mess that is 3 different folder structure systems, i've finally got it moderately working with the " marks instead of [[, and doubling the \'s. However, i too now have the same issue as Dartborne, with the extra MG34 Lafette being attached to the Gunner.

    I installed it per instructions, then re-formating the lines as i mentioned above with the " in place of [[, and doubling the \'s. I then also went through and added the commonmeshes.lua to the gunners. And that's it.

    On a side note, the issue i had some time ago of the MG42 being invisible while carried was due to the Gunner not having the commonmeshes.lua in his .abp file, so that little issue is resolved, just leaving the above mentioned issue.

    Edit: So far, out of the HMGs, i've tested the MG34 HMG, MG42 HMG, M1919a4, and M2HB, and only the MG34 is thus affected.

    For some reason, the M2HB seems to be plagued by the missing RGM box, even though all the other MGs i've installed at the same time are fine, and everything seems to link up. Within the box, the gunner is carrying the M2HB as normal. Ideas? Edit: Fixed this one. Turns out while other entries must be with the " marks, the M2HB ones need to be in [[ ]] otherwise we get the Missing RGM box. For me anyway, at least.

    Alright. I think I figured out why the MG 34 is having issues. I will be uploading a patch for the HMG set today that should solve it. You can grab it here.

    Also, I was able to rule out LuaExtCore.dll as the culprit with regards to the [[ and ]] compatibility. It is still a mystery as to why some of you seem to have issues with it and some don't. Can some of you try replacing " with [[ and ]] on some of your Relic paths to see if they get messed up?

    the MG34 works well, M2HB and M1919 are shown invisible when setup off screen. (NOTE: I don't like the the MG34 sound )

    the hmg 42 ver 1.2 is missing the texture files so when its installed it generates a missing rgm error. this perhaps could be a source of problems in the distributed files.fixed: it wasnt the missing texture files it was a typo in the commonmeshes.abp, it seems that the boys rifle was missing the rgm extension that pointed to where the rgm file acually was.

    Do the hull and coaxial MGs on Panzers make a sound? It is the same sound as all other Relic MG 34s. No custom sounds are included, so if it doesn't work something is wrong with your game / mod.
