how do I access the airborne version of the kar98k in the rifles .rgo what is the visibility name that can be applied to the .rgd weapon files?
the german model 33/40 rifle isnt it contained inside the ver. 1.5 rifles .rgo?
Sort of. It was a favor for Lethal Dosage, but I am not sure if I have permission to release it publicly as I never got a reply from the author. In order to use the visibility_name, you would also need a modified .rgo for the G33/40(t).
Also, wasn't it primarily issued to Gebirgsjäger?

no it was a rifle made for the german parachute troops but they were very popular with the gebirsjager troops also because the stock could be folded to make the weapon more compact. it was germanys early attempts to outfit the parachute troops with a compact rifle they could paradrop into combat with.

I love the Schwarzlose! All it needs is a new tripod for such setup. It has a German lafette right now because before this kinda of HMG setup was not feasible.
It is possible, but we shouldn't go too crazy with it. Maybe with the Schwarzlose and a Maksim.
I agree totally. There are only so many HMG types that were fired in a prone position.

I love that picture! Suppose those are Hungarian troops - albeit lot of Austrian-German troops had those since after the Anschluss the Heer 'inherited' a heap of Schwarzlose and which were in use during the Polenfeldzug (Invasion of Poland).

Point of note: German service use of the Schwarzlose was limited to garrison and second-line units. Interestingly enough a good number saw use with the Italians and naturally when they folded, the Germans quickly made use of those as well.

Back when i asked Eliw00d i'd he's add the G33/40 made by Jorge2125 (as it was originally made specifically for Cross of Iron), i also contacted Jorge2125 myself and got permission from him for Eliw00d to include it in the weapons he's been doing, and release it to the public.
After a quick browse, i located the the PM messages between Jorge and myself about permission for Eliw00d to edit it and release it. As i see no harm in making the content of these PM's public, they're quoted below, so there isn't any confusion about wording, etc.

That would be something best asked of the Modern Combat team. I think we are just going to stick to World War II here.

Please don't make requests it is against forum policy, and the MC mod already has the QBB85 which is an LMG however it is not used ingame, so just make a mod of MC if you want that...Your work is great,I wonder if you can make "PKM" to be used in Modern Combat,Cuz USA has M243 SAW as light machine gun,While PLA has no light machine gun.

I realize that I am a little late with this post, but just stumbled onto the discussion you guys had here earlier about the "G 33/40(t) rifle. The letter (t) stood for tschechisch (German: "Czech"). Anything that was made or used during the Second World War by the Germans, from captured Armaments to Vehicles that was of Czech. origin's had this designation after its numerical value. For example the Skoda, PzKpfw 35(t), or the bigger PzKpfw 38(t), and their many variants.

I have added the Heavy MG42, the light MG42, the M1919A4 HMG and all required files to my mod. (the weapon i wanted is the M1919A4 HMG but after adding it i had to replace most of the vanilla MGs cause of some errors)
Now after a few hours of work and testing i've got them working whit tracers, sounds and animations, except for the Light MG42... its just invisible... no RGM missing error or something just invisible
So i would ask for some advise. Any ideas what i did wrong. Or what file i have to change to solve it.

You probably forgot to put the visibility name in the weapon's anim_table.

Then you probably don't have the model in commonitems.abp or your gunner's .abp file.
The location of the mg_42_lmg.abp file with respect to the .abp you are editing.

but if i want them to be useable by everyone what do i have to do.
the vanilla LightMG42 is a pickup weapon and everyone could use em
Check in "..\weapons\german\small_arms\". Otherwise, just put the location of the mg_42_lmg.rgm.
btw if one of the squads drops a LightMG its shown on the ground correctly.

your rifles are very good, but they have some error:
the bolt-action rifles are reloaded from above, not below, and this happens even with the grenade launcher.

I think everyone knows how a no.3 mk4 reloads, Its not a matter of the fact that they all reload from below. Its a matter of thats the animations that relic gave them. If howver youd like to modify the Garande, to have a bolt pull aswell as a top down reload. Please do so as i would love to use the animation. In the mean time i think ill refer you to this .

the fact is that changing the "Weapons\\RIFLE" to [[..\..\Weapons\Rifles]],
ALL guns are reloaded from below; enfield, boys, K98, springfield ...
I love YouTube historians.
Anyways, I will look into the possibility that something may have broken WRT the rifle grenade reload animation.
is there any way to make the M2HB Heavy Machinegun sound like the other MGs (Sherman tanktop, Halftrack etc)?
I noticed that DB used a different sound for it than most M2HBs, too. I will look into it at some point.

Ok, well I was wondering if you would be willing to make a weapon or two for a mod I'm working on? It's going to be a Gears of War mod and I need some basic weapons like the Lancer, the Hammerburst and the Longshot. Those three are the weapons I need and I've tried to model them but my skills are next to none. Would you be willing to help?

I recently found this thread and just want to replace the m1917 with the m1919 and the MG42 for gaming with some of my friends. I learned a bit about moding skins and sounds, but after reading this thread about using these weapons ingame I am confused. Can someone post or send me an instruction what to do step by step to get the weapons replaced? I tried to use the readmes of the weapons but got screwed a bit. Thanks in advance...
