Yeah I saw these as well. The first picture, with all the flames and everything, looks glorious.

Can't tell if they are re-using the models from Company of Heroes for the Germans, the Infantry in the second picture look almost like Tank Buster/Assault Grenadiers with white helmets.
They're reusing the Panzer IV model, that's for certain.
Ah as a follow up on these pics.

I quite doubt that is the final version of the Panzer IV. the texture of it just doesn't look at good as for example the T34 does.

It's also.. Not right. For starters the colours weren't really used by the Germans. Plus while they did paint white crosses on their tanks. They quickly stopped doing it after they realised it made their men targets.
More interesting though is the German infantry supporting the Panzers. My guess ? 4 man Pioneer squads with Mp40s. Possibly Panzerfausts. The kit on their back at least reminds me of Pioneer kits.
I think you're right. If you zoom in, you can see the panzerfausts on their backs. Those are definitely MP40's they're packing.the Infantry in the second picture look almost like Tank Buster/Assault Grenadiers with white helmets.
I hope so too! I should have clarified myself better in my post, saying that at least in that shot, they're reusing the old Panzer IV model. I guess we'll have to wait and see.I quite doubt that is the final version of the Panzer IV.

Just to clarify a lot of the German army at the moment is place holder. The German army in CoH2 will be different from the army in the original game

I am an Iron Warrior! Iron Within, Iron Without!
Great news Ruined! Thanks for letting us know...and I'm looking forward to seeing German Army assets![]()
I was about to say that 2nd screenshot looked almost like COH. not that that's a bad thing, it's still a damn fine lookin' game

Also everything we have released so far is DX9 . The DX11 version will melt your eyeballs![]()

Wait there is a DX9 version? So my crappy old box might actually run it!![]()
The one thing I don't like? Those three SPArts are probably half your max popcap. Well, not half, but likely still a significant chunk. CoH1 scale on the Eastern Front seems like a bit of a waste to me TBH. Here's hoping the campaign takes some liberties with max unit count, artillery cooldowns and the like.![]()

Nice pic - shows off the deep snow effect well
It's interesting that the shot shows off a trio of SU-76M's firing high elevation shots: The SU-76 was design to be used as a light assault gun, a self-propelled anti-tank gun, and a self-propelled light artillery piece, much like the German SdKfz 124 Wespe. I wonder...does this mean that there will be vehicles can be set so that they can be toggled to fire directly and indirectly? Or is the SU-76M only going to function in the indirect fire role?
Edit: Man, those things were small. Fairly low profile too.

I'm not too surprised given that the vehicle was based on the T-70 chassis, which was itself a light tank.

Hmm quite awesome screenshot and I must say the graphics look stunning, as well as that I have to agree with Gorb that the snow does look great! Now it is also quite interesting to know that the soviets will have some form of SPG. Perhaps the SU76M will just be their SPG, there are many other possibilities for Tankdestroyers (SU85, SU100, SU152, ISU152 etc).

It's one thing seeing screenshots; seeing it in action is something else. We were debating (me and Hirmy, I think) about how much implementation actually went into the mechanic, (cynically) if it was as much implementation as they said it was. Looking at how it functions, it is an amazing piece of technology.
If anyone's interested, the dev's updated the COH2 Facebook page with some pics they took at a war museum.
There's a nice pic of a 8.8cm FlaK 37 (minus gun shield) there and pics of small arms, including a DP1928 and an MP 44 / StG 44![]()
