    1750 Salamanders

    Hi there, wondered what you people thought about this particular list. Its been fielded in slight variations a few times now, and did okay. I lack long range AT firepower, this I'm trying to compensate with deepstriking assault terminators, the sternguards which are coming down with Vulkan, and the ironclad dreadnought, which never fails to unsettle the opponent and dedicating a lot of firepower to kill it ASAP.

    Meanwhile the chaplain joins the assault troops and either engages flanking/fast units threatening my troop choices or tries to support vulkan, the terminators and the iron clad.

    Vulkan makes all flame weapons (cept the flamestorm cannon, which does not appear in this list) and all melta weapons twin-linked. All thunder hammers are mastercrafted.

    Those Thunder hammer Terminators aren't going to get very far without a transport.

    Codex: SM Assault Marines are also fairly sub par. I'd drop those, buy a Land Raider Redeemer with Pintle Multimelta. Transported Terminators have a 21" charge range compared to the 18" of Jump pack marines.

    Then perhaps swap the Chaplain for a Utility Librarian with Gate of Infinity and Null Zone. He'd be useful for attaching to the Sternguard as he can teleport them out of close combat and his hood gives extra defense. You can then attach Vulkan to the Terminators.

    Of course, 6th Edition is rearing it's head. Advice may change in a week or two!
