hello

the eastern front mod did it with the t-34 i think ( i dont know long time ago ive played it)
i want the infantry section from the commonwealth to be able to ride on the cromwell and the cromwell command tank.

how is that possible?
how can i do it?
is OE needed?

That's possible if you add combat slots to your models (OE work)... There is already a thread wich was started upon this a while back, about the sherman... don't seem to be able to find it out anyway.

Or you can even do it if you manage to make use of NIS animations, but here, i don't realy know how it should be useable ingame...

You should wait someone more experienced than myself to try this haha

i can already set the soldiers on the tank, so nothing there.
we are talking about the cromwell, try the first mission in "liberation of Caen"

For combat slots you'll need 3d max not OE. You can add slots without it but then they will shudder when whatever they're attached too moves, so for proper moveable slots ( eg. pe halftrack ) you'll need to use 3dmax. OE is mainly used to trigger or activate actions linked to garrisoned slots on the model itself. An example could be, when its loaded different meshes appear/dissapear, change stances on the units that are loaded into the slots, activate fx's or sounds etc.

Just to clear something up: the Cromwell "riders" in Liberation of Caen are part of a special animation made specifically for that cinematic, which was not made with gameplay in mind.

well i need the animation names, and then i will try it it. it already have the markers, it is not picking up some random positions. when i attach it.
i tried it on the Sherman and then they attach under the Sherman, not on a random position.
