How to add deepstrike ability once summoning core is built?

How to add deepstrike ability once summoning core is built?

I'd like to add deepstrike to the necron warriors, but not by default. I don't really know how to change their transport type (ingame) from Infantry to Terminator (if it's even possible), so any information would be useful.

Transport type is defined in squad_transportable_ext (see SBPExtensions\\squad_transportable_ext.lua).

Deep Strike is an entire extension you have to add to the squad, and you can add requirements to it I think.

I've tried adding a requirement to the transport type with no effect. Additionally, I've given it transport_type (transport_infantry) and transport_type_2 (transport_terminator) and given the 2nd a requirement; the game didn't crash, but it didn't work correctly either. How (specifically) would you make:
    (a) a default transport type
    (b) a 2nd transport type (accessible based on requirements), or
    (c) a replacement for the default transport type (accessible based on requirements)

You don't add requirements to the transport types. Buildings can contain a specific transport type (for Deep Strike/squad_hold_ext), as can transport vehicles. Units with that specific transport type can embark.

What exactly are you trying to do?

Make necron warriors deepstrikable from the monolith (like the flayed ones), but only after the summoning core is built. I need them to change transport type from transport_infantry to transport_terminator (at least that seems to be the only way to do it).

I should also add that I've tried adding a requirement to the monolith's deep_strike_ext file. While the actual deepstrike icon wasn't functional, everything else still was (warriors were still contained in the monolith upon construction, still deepstrikable, and still able to be reloaded into the monolith after deepstriking). This is why I'm trying to get their classification to change; adding requirements to deep_strike_ext doesn't stop squad_hold from holding them (and adding requirements to squad_hold doesn't do anything either).

I'm sorry to tell you that what you are trying to do is not possible by the restrictions provided by the DOW engine. The only thing you can do is have Warriors deepstruck from tier 0 or find alternatives. :\ Sorry but welcome to DOW land!

Would it be possible to do this using 2 separate kinds of Necron Warriors, one which can be deployed via Deep Strike and the other which cannot (the former would have the Summoning Core as a requirement, the latter would be incompatible with it)?
Perfect, one example of an alternative to do. It is not what you are looking for to do, but it works.

The only thing I don't like about that alternative is when you double click to select all necron warriors, it'll only select those of similar kind. I'd thought about it, but decided I'd rather have them deepstrikable through the summoning core and restored monolith (by making their transport_type "transport_dreadnought"). Chances are I'll just leave the ability untouched and have fun with the broken instantaneous deepstriking (and maybe once I'm bored give them requirements).
