    Relic patcher fails

    Good morning,

I recently reinstalled Company of Heroes, and everything installed fine. I played through the tutorials and some missions and then decided to give online a shot.

At that point it prompted me to download a patch. However, the download would never start and after a few moments would fail altogether and take me back to the main menu.

I figured that since CoH is so old, maybe the patch server is either no longer online or my version is so out of date it can't patch my game.

So I went to relics patch page and downloaded the 1.00 to 1.40 patch and installed it without a problem. I then downloaded and installed the 1.4 to 2.101 patch and installed it.

Now, when I open up CoH it takes me straight away to a login page and once again requests a patch download. And once again, the download fails. Except now, with whatever changes were made to CoH, I can't even get in to play the game now, because apparently I must be logged in and online to play.

So my question is that even though I'm still only running vanilla CoH without an expansions, do I need to install the OF or ToV patches? This seems odd to me...but I've seen stranger things. Or is there something else I'm missing?

I'm wondering if there are some ports that I need to ensure are open via my routers firewall (even though it's currently stock).

    Thanks,

    Jason

You need to install ALL of the patches, up to and including 2.602. They are common patches for all versions of the game.
