DoW Soulstorm - Can't Connect to Online Games

I know this issue has been addressed before, I've read through a couple threads and tried out all the suggestions posted. Nonetheless I am getting no-where. It's really temperamental.

I can connect to the lobby fine, every so often I can join a game but the majority of the time I receive that same message: 'The host could not be found, the host may...' etc.

My firewall is not blocking anything so I know that's not the problem. I then went on to portforwarding following this guide - portforward - but that's not worked either :/. I have a BT Home Hub 2.0, not sure if that makes the problem worse or better.

I'm fresh out of ideas, any suggestions guys?

Would really appreciate anything right now.

The problem is not at your end, it's the gamespy service for Soulstorm that is beyond bad. The messages you get don't really mean anything, if you just keep retrying you will be able to connect sooner or later.
When I played SS actively with my mates I think that more time was spent trying to join games than playing the game itself, due to the horrendous lobby system.

Unfortunately this is the problem, at least if my past experiences are to go by.

HomeHubs are notoriously buggy with Dawn of War. Some people have found success in portforwarding, others in setting the router to DMZ mode. Many, such as myself eventually gave up and caved into buying a new router (I had problems with other applications too). Have a search around on these forums alone and you will find many threads on the issue.

All I can suggest is to run the Net Tester and post your results. At least then we will know if its a NAT problem.

Thanks for getting back to me, guys.

I think there is a problem with the wireless adapter I'm using. It is a Edimax nLite Wireless USB Adapter. The reason for me suggesting this is because it is clear I have a connection, yet on my Hub manager it doesn't recognize any connections at all. My wireless connection to the Home Hub is deemed 'not connected.' I am unsure why this is. I think this my main problem at the moment.

    Any ideas?

EDIT: Will give you a better understanding as to what I'm trying to say.

What i did that totally solved this problem was assign an IP to your computer in your HubManager. This is a game breaking problem but when i found this fix (might work for you) i was so happy.
