    [WIP] 6p_Castle_Greifenstein

The Story of this Map, is a big Castle somewhere in Germany. ( Greifenstein = Gryphon Stone)

Inside the Castle the German forces has big arms- and ordnance factories.

WW2 is in his finale phase, so the Allied forces have some more resources than German forces, but the defense posibilities of Castle Greifenstein make this equal.

I would recomend a B-17 strike to level some of those walls ;-)

Well, it looks nice even in the 30% finished state, but you have to consider the use of water, you have 5 water objects on the map. When you use that much water you have to be very careful not to place too many large buildings or animated elements like trees, too close to the water.
Water is a beast when it comes to rendering, not only the water (animated waves)if that wasnt bad enough, but all objects near the water, will be rendered twice, due to reflections in the water.

Relic recomend only 1 water source on a map, but up to 3 is considered fine, if you are careful with the close to objects.

hey Nice progress on the buildings

Dont forget about optimisation, you are at the best state for take care of it.

Choose wisely your tileset, try to keep under 4 or 5 max total tiles, and Never more than 3 tiles per chunks (hit the chunk button to chekc). Best is to have a TOTAL of 3 tiles, so you will never have to worry about having more than 3 tiles in a single chunk.

Most of what mappers add in tileset details that could be made with splines and splats. Think about it because it save LOT of fps to have a very simple tile paint, and focus to details on splats/splines.

Never go upper than 250 rendercalls /per view for a 3v3, (and its really a maximum value, try to be lower when u can), and be carefull about long sandbags walls and some iron-fenced-walls models, they can be extremly rendercall consuming in some cases. U should better use 'support' walls instead, and its what you planned i think, regarding the leveled place you've prepared for em.

I know, its borring to check all this, but u must not forget any of those parts, that will ensure you descent fps ingames= more ppl wil play it.
Most of the time, mappers test the map alone, and are satisfied because they dont see many lags, but its not as easy:
lagfest happen online, with lot of players connected, OR with lots of AI trying to pathfind. lagfest wont happen in a single player test, because there wont be any need of external data trafic..

So, to ensurre you won't have lags, always check all the points upper
