Account Deleted... Again...

So yeah, my account (Sentinel) has been eaten again.

After the forums got hacked yesterday I changed my password since it was recommended on the facebook page. I was able to log in fine with the new password.

This morning when I went to log in it told me my password was wrong, so I tried my old password which worked. I assume this is because the server backup was from before I changed passwords?

And now, when I went to log in neither password would work, and "forgot password" wouldn't recognise my email, so I took a look at my last couple of posts and it seems I'm a guest again.

Any chance I could get my Sentinel account back, again...

No user "Sentinel", I've renamed Sentinel2 to Sentinel.

No user "anotherpenguin", I've renamed anotherpenguin2 to anotherpenguin.

Uber, anotherpenguin's old account was actually another penguin, with a space. Here's an example post

It looks like somehow the restore fucked with the user table.

We're missing quite a few accounts. Going to work with Reki to correct it.

All of the Blackbird accounts with the exception of Rob C have been deleted.

Can you get me one of your old posts? We might be restoring the DB again, we're missing a fair number of accounts.

Might be some way we can get new accounts linked to old posts by setting the new accounts Userid to the same as the old account's userid.

I'd rather just restore the user table though.

If your account has gone missing today (that is, not because you were a recent registrant who disappeared during the rollback) it is probably wise to consider the password you used for it to be compromised out of an abundance of caution. We're going to try to do a mass fix of damage done in the near future, but in the meantime it may be wise to change this password anywhere else you were using it, if you do that sort of thing.

Good thing I've gone and changed my username on all of the sites & forums I was registered on a few days ago.
Still, I'm in no real rush to get my old account back anyway. Didn't even use it much.

Still, hopefully all the boys (and girls?) over in the tech department can get this mess sorted out. I know how annoying it can be to restore databases.
