How Long is a Cycle in Warhammer?

I been looking up a lot of background stuff from Dark Crusade. I noticed in The Vandean Coast under the Archive, it talks about a "cycle". How long is a cycle? A week? A month? A year? I couldn't find the answer anywhere on google. Got plenty of menstrual cycle results though, lol.

From watching sci-fi generally a cycle tends to refer to a year but I do not believe it is specified inn WH40k, however someone like Andkat might be able to help in the fluff section, send him a PM.

Fairly sure it's a local "year": one cycle of the planet around the star it orbits.

(The official Imperial Calander uses Earth years and calls them "Standard Years" (but rather than months and days, uses 1/1000ths of the year). So todays date would be something like "601 012 M3 (0)" - "Post Meridian August 7th, Twelfth Standard Year of the Third Millennium (time taken from Greenwich, Earth)".)
