    changing of mines

    i want to make something, possibly using a land mine as a base, that upon triggering by the enemy it spawns a squad instead of an explosion creating an ambush of a small group of infantry. i cant get it to work though. any thoughts?

    i tried messing with the mines on_fire_actions using the spawn_squad action but its not working for me.

    Take a look at on_death_actions. I've never tried something like this (sounds ingenious tbh) so I'll look into it myself.

    great suggestion volsky, i thought we had it there, but unfortunately i couldnt get it to work with that either. ive tried death_actions, and on_detonation_actions and on_fire_actions with no luck yet. im probably just be missing something small


    if anyone has any suggestions even if theyre just guesses i'd appreciate hearing them. and also if anyone knows if this is an impossibility please tell me, it wont hurt my feelings too bad.


    on a side note does anyone know why an ability icon would stay lit up as if its ready to be used even when the requirement isnt reached? lets say i want to throw a grenade but i didnt buy the upgrade yet so its still grayed out. well on this other ability its not grayed out even though it still requires an upgrade to be used. i bastardized an ability and im sure i just messed up a line here or there so im just wondering if anyone has a easy fix idea for that, its driving me nutts. i had it working in the beginning so i know that it will work, but i cant figure out what i changed that messed it up. everything works fine with the ability it just isnt grayed out when it should be
