Forcing a default colour scheme in skirmish

I'm working on an "allies" concept similar to the TT 6th edition ruleset.
There will be a selection of building available to races within the advance menu to choose 1 allied detachment to go with your main race. As I've got the ebps set, these units take the default campaign colour scheme on them when in game.

There is a SCAR win condition to turn this on/off, so I'd like to be able to add into that some code to force a different colour scheme onto certain units.

If it's all manually configured, thats fine, I'd like to be able to set multiple conditions by "allied race".

The campaign default schemes would be fine to use, just a different one from default_0.

    Thanks

Assuming the colour scheme scar works, then it applies per race. There would be probably be ways around what you are doing though.

Sorry, just realized I explained what I was trying to achieve without actually asking the question I came here for, which was does anyone know the scar code that would accomplish this?

You can set a whole player's colours but not units. What you could do is set up a friendly team and give them the units, or potentially quickly give the unit to another team, set their colour and then give them back.

In my mod I have something similar, I have cloned the units (with a copy of the model entirely to stop texture bleeding) so that there's a copy for the other faction. That's because they are a part of my tech tree though... fuggles' SCAR orientated solution still sounds good.

I've gone for something a bit in the middle now. I've cloned some of the models out, most will be pointing to a set .rsh file for the main body, but using the main files for weapons and stuff to keep size down.
Others now have specific skins that I've got done. The best solution for me, I'll do as many unit ebps as I need to get it looking cool!
