    Internet Connection Inconsistent

My ping tends to fluctuate a lot randomly, sometimes it will peak at 1000ms while other times it's nice and low at about 35ms. I don't know what is causing this, this fluctuations occur when I am the only one using the internet. My router is the ASUS RT-N56U and I get a good signal from it. Same for my download speed, speedtest.net will sometimes say I have 0.5 mbps then other times I'll have 19mbps.

Here is a Netalyzr report, it says my latency is ok, but I have very high buffering.

I'm not doing any downloading or uploading during these times, only gaming or web browsing. I've tried giving my computer higher priority with my router settings but it didn't help.

    I assume you mean Wireless?

Maybe this can give a clue: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r267...ter.-weirdness

How many devices are on the router when the ping lags?

Well I figured it out a couple days ago, it was because I had it on a metal filing cabinet (durp). It was a central location and fairly open, so I thought it would be good... I moved it about a meter over onto not metal and everything is dandy now.
