[HELP] King Tiger health/armour stats didn't work

    Fluff [HELP] King Tiger health/armour stats didn't work

    Hello all.

    I'm trying to make new King Tiger stats to realistic one. The original CoH ToV using Tiger's damage system for King Tiger. In fact, The King Tiger is much stronger than Tiger.

    I have make the tp_armour_axis_kingtiger.rgd in attrib\attrib\type_target_weapon\ for new armour type of King Tiger. I also added this tp_armour_axis_kingtiger.rgd in every weapons target table and modify the damage probability in it. I have also changed the tiger_ace.rgd type target weapon to this new type (type_target_weapon\tp_armour_axis_kingtiger.lua)

    The trouble comes when the heavy machine gun could penetrate this new modified king tiger (even from front!). (I have added tp_armour_axis_kingtiger.rgd in all weapon's target table and modified it to make it realistic. I also made the tp_armour_axis_kingtiger.rgd inpenetrable for all small arms.

    Someone help me please.

    you sure you added it to every weapon? also made new armour types and forgot one of the mgs.

    also have you made a mistake with the kingtiger type_target_weapon?

    mine looks like this type_target_weapon\tp_armour_axis_kingtiger.lua

    Yes. I have made new armour for kingtiger (type_target_weapon\tp_armour_axis_kingtiger.rgd) and changed the [type_target_weapon\tp_armour_axis_tiger.lua] to [type_target_weapon\tp_armour_axis_kingtiger.lua] in tiger_ace.rgd. Yes, I'm sure I have added tp_armour_axis_kingtiger in all weapon's target table.

    What is mgs?

    Don't you have to change the armor pen of every tank/Anti tank gun to adjust to its new armor, then change the armor of everything else in accordance to that?

    May be wrong as I have not dabbled in changing armor/pen, but I think this is what you have to do. (????)

    Yes, I have change all weapons damage, penetration, etc. for this new armour type (tp_armour_axis_kingtiger).

    O yeah, Few minutes ago I tried to modify AttribArchive.sga to add tp_armour_axis_kingtiger.rgd. It's work!

    Ehm.. you didn't edit your original AttribArchive now, did you? Because that will prevent you from playing online.

    Yeah. It doesn't matter for me. I'm never played CoH in multiplayer modes (I have very slow internet connection!). If I want to play online, just replace the modified this file with original one. Maybe I just share my mod for my friends who referred me to play CoH. Maybe I'll try to fix it without modify the original file (like attribarchive.sga).

    If you have solution for this problem, tell me please!

    It's rather weird that it doesn't work, as you do say that Machine Guns can penetrate the new armor type, that means the armor type is working. What did you set as penetration value for all weapons you don't want to be able to penetrate the KT?

    Its probably because one obscure weapon doesnt have the correct target table. Anyone who played(s) blitzkried mod remembers the days when the HMG42 would pen a KT from the front and kill it in ~2 seconds? That was from a missing target table.

    celestial: I setted 0 for damage multiplier and 0.001 for pen multiplier (for all small arms). It must be affected nothing. When I tested few times before I tried way above, The american machine gun emplacement could penetrate it and slowy decreased king tiger's health bar. I also make this new armour type inpenetrable for all small arms, and only this machine gun could penetrate it!

    It worked fine when I added tp_armour_axis_kingtiger in AttribArchive.sga. Maybe it will be work if I packed my mod attribs to *.sga file. The mods which I played (BotB mod) many have new armour type, and it is packed in *.sga file.

    It shouldn't make a difference, but it's rather weird it works completely fine when packed into .sga. My guess would be that because .sga archives have priority (thus if you have two the same files and one is in .sga, it will get loaded over the non-sga one), somehow your Mod files are overwritten by the normal .sga files.
    Can you show me your module file in [CODE] tags?

    This module is from another existed mod's module which I used for my mod. I'm never edited it (because I haven't know how it works). I learned modding by autodidiact :D

    Alright, so I take that the name if your Mod is 'Real_Company_Of_Heroes_', and the name of the ModFolder in your main CoH Directory is named like this too? Otherwise your module should be fine..

    Have you absolutely made sure that all weapon files are edited (thus that they show up as red when you open up your mod in the ModStudio)?

    All was gone red. It will be worth to try packed these attribs to sga.

    Celestial, is there any tutorial how export an edited .dds file to .dds back. I saved it in the same as previous format, but when its opened again, the colour was unmatched than before.
