    Is there a definitive setup for AI on maps?

    Hi again Chapees,

    I have basically converted LaFiere into a MP map.

    I have been testing it throughout today and seem to have the AI working quite well. I have 8 waypoints from each side going across the map (a total of 16). And have removed all the SCAR coding I can with the exception of a entity group I just can't seem to delete.

    Now, some people seem to be able to create great AI playing maps with just way points and without the use of the AI importance markers. I did just try with way points but my AI just sat there.
    Adding the importance markers has just bought them back to life. They play well, but I am yet to test it in depth, I really don't think they would be very strong.

    I know there is a factor of keeping the capture points clear from other objects which apparently helps so that has been done.

    Is there any reason why my AI might not work from a set of good waypoints and another persons map might? As I said they seem okay again when I put the AI markers back on.

    Any insight from you experienced people would be a great help

    take a look at the original vire river valley and look at the scar markers, i playing games in extreme can be challenging if you don-t blow the bridges, and maybe take a look at the map with 3 islands 2vs2 full of bridges that now i don-t remember the name, to see if there is some kind of marker to make the ai repair bridges (if you need to)

    There are no specific marker to make the AI repair bridges.
    But running a waypoint line over the bridge might help.

    I have converted Chambois, La Fiere and Trun into MP maps with AI markers and 8 waypoints from each side. I have run some over broken bridges and tested it out over a 3v3 comp stomp with 2 friends. The AI was brutal, they almost killed us and kept rebuilding the bridges constantly. I am going to host a pack when I convert a few more
