    Inquisitor Judgement shot

Hello dear comrades. I'm trying to mod this ability using cope's toolbox, to change the time it takes to cast and the power of the shot but its been way too difficult finding where that data is written. Would you mind helping me out? Its like the only thing thats keeping my mod from seeing light xD

Sure, there are a few places you're going to need to look to achieve what you want to do.

First: Altering the damage of the ability isn't going to be in the properties for the ability. You're going to want to look in weapons > weapons damage > pvp > judge_shot_av.rbf look around in the attributes of this .rbf and play around with the settings you'll likely get what you want out of the damage.

Second: Based on the ebps ability bag for the Inquisitor she has two abilities first there is ig_inquisitor_targeted_inferno_pistol_judging and also ig_inquisitor_targeted_inferno_pistol_shot_final. The judging portion is important because there are three abilities listed for the Inquisitor that are very similar they start at judge, judged, and the judging. As far as I can tell you're only going to need to alter the judging ability in order to change the casting time, but keep in mind the others in case it doesn't work.

Third: To find where you need to alter the ability stated above you'll go to ability > pvp > race_imperial_guard > inquisitor > and then the abilities for the Inquisitor will be listed in that folder.

    Hope it helps

Dude, thanks a lot. Seriously, i owe you xD. By the way, how is it that the damage of the skill can't be found anywhere?

Hey no problem I'm happy to help! I've had to figure a lot out by myself so I thought I'd pass on the knowledge. If I understand what you're saying I think you're just looking for something in the settings that jumps out at you and says DAMAGE. Unfortunately it's not that simple. I've found that altering damage values of any skills or weapons requires A LOT of guess and check. So when you navigate to judge_shot_av.rbf you're going to want to look in the armour_damage_multipliers and adjust those values accordingly. Something you're going to want to watch out for is what you're altering the damage value for. Since damage is organized to armor types and not specific infantry types you're going to have to do some digging and figure out what infantry, building, or vehicle has which armor type. For example say you want to adjust the skill to do more damage against Tactical Marines you'd have to figure out what armor type the marines have in order to accurately adjust the damage value (I believe they're heavy_infantry). You'd then go back to judge_shot_av.rbf and increase the value in heavy_infantry to deal more damage to that armor type. It might also be worth your time to check out the other categories under the weapon damage and see how they can help you.

I hope that makes sense, if you have any more questions feel free to ask. Good luck!

Yeah, i could do just what i wanted with your help =). What makes it weird is that the ability has the base damage of 400 against infantry or something like that. So its weird that such round number isn't found anywhere in the rbfs xD.

    Anyway, thanks again
