In the EF mod on the t34r there are riding 4 soldiers. Can this be done on any tank or it it model specific?

Has to be done by adding combat slots to the tank in 3ds max. It also seems to not work with any vCoH model.
It works just fine with vCOH models... you just have to mix a model that is composed of only markers and bones.
Really? I tried doing that once with the stug with no success. Perhaps I did something wrong.
why not edit the cromwell tank?
it already has the markers
for NIS movie use only, not gameplay purpose... after all i know of course![]()
i've tried it in BK using the kangaroo entity,garrison, hold type and replace it with t34 tankrider..it works, i know there's something in that tank rider files.
@CoDiEx
The Cromwell does not have Combat Slot markers. You are thinking of the custom tank riding animation, which is different and unusable other than for decoration.
It would be nice to have soldiers be able to ride on tanks to move faster and also to defend from enemy infantry, id say no tank main gun firing while it has riders. It would be nice to figure how to implement this.
It has been possible for quite some time, BotB and EF have made use of it.
well if you convert the markers to whatever, i guess it should work.
or make more code that tells the computer that it is the same as: whatever we are writting about (those markers)
@rain you forgot to mention to change the type of infantry it can hold. For instance if you copied the hold file from the EF T-34 you would need to change the infantry it can hold from only guards to basic or whatever you want.
Well i did it, but the infantry load inside like in a truck, not on top like i was trying to do.
All you need to do is just add the markers and bones from another model and it should work fine. That of course only applies if you have a model which has them already.
So I need 3dsmax?
I thought there was a thread lying around about adding visual slots to emplacements, and that you could add the same principle to vehicles. Easily.

You can, but the infantry lag in place for a second, which might not sound that bad, but it looks terrible.
@Volsky could you please find that thread about that?I thought there was a thread lying around about adding visual slots to emplacements, and that you could add the same principle to vehicles. Easily.
@burtondrummerNY
If you add the combat slots in 3DS Max, there is no lag.
@CoDiEx
Search the How-To Forum for Combat Slots.
Yes I understand that eli, I was responding to Volsky's comment though. The method he is hinting at was the first method that was discovered using combat slots that resulted in a laggy set up.
