You do realize that Bush's first oil company was financed by the Bin Laden family, right?

Hadn't heard that, I tend to doubt that. However, even if it is true, doesn't really mean anything - the Bin Laden family is a huge business family in Saudi Arabia, perfectly legitimate - most of them have disowned Osama Bin Laden.

The bin laden family is perfectly normal, they even have a college here in the US. Probably not very popular though, right now...

Yeah, saw a documentary on them a while back. Papa Laden was an especially nice guy. Built a big freeway through the mountains.

Hell, if they were all as bad as Osama, we'd be dog-meat already. There's about 14 of 'em...

    EDIT:
Oh, yeah. Completely OT, but I had to post this...http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...tizenship_dc_2

I have to say that I believe "the critics" of the US adminstration are failing to understand the nature of the people we are threatening. These people understand one thing, strength. If you show them weakness, it is a sign that you are a victim ready to be exploited. While I don't agree with many of our country's policies, I am comforted that we are in fact talking tough, and demonstrating that we are not a weak country, and that we are willing to do what it takes to deter attacks upon us.

If that means threatening to use the nuclear arsenal against countries that harbor cowardly terrorists who think it's ok to smash planes into buildings and killing innocents, then so be it. If terrorists are able to sneak a nuclear device into our country, or are able to disperse a chemical or biological agent here, then they should suffer the extreme consequences of their action. We cannot show ANY weakness to regimes like Iraq, Iran, North Korea, or Libya.

Do NOT take my commentary as an attack upon the Muslim people. Most of them have a very good moral compass. It is only the ones who resort to terrorism and conspire to disrupt the peace that I have issue with.

By the way, I think Gore would have handled the situation EXACTLY as Bush has. Gore served in the military and I don't think he would have hesitated to do the same thing Bush did in Afghanistan.

Think hours and days for world wide spread. 80% of the world is fully tied together in a global economy that moves goods, people and services between countries. Any disease that can take out the US will spread to all the other countries and hit them back. Oh yes, they could self innoculate against that disease, but by the time it hits them it will have mutated into a different strain. Reason being US citizens have so much antibiotic resistant strains of symbiotic bugs already in them that anything released in the US will pick up antibiotic resistance very quickly.

Anyways that is my rant for the day.
yesh, they need to get their hands on a gentically engineered virus that only kills infidels! :anime:

Yes, THEY should, not the entire population of the country they're hiding in. Nukes are hardly surgical weapons, y'know.

    Glad I voted for \/\/ !!!

Let's also threaten to nuke all the allies of anyone who attacks us, and their neighbors too.

Actually I thought this was already our policy. Meet weapons of mass destruction with even more.
