Ever been tried?

Inspired by the new Aliens VS Predator movie coming out I dug out all my old Aliens VS Predator novels, toys, comics and all that I had as a kid I was thinking about making a Tyranid army. But then I asked myself about the Predators, I'd never even heard of an army themed around them, while it's pretty common that tyranid players try to base their armies off of Aliens. Have any of you ever seen an army based of the hunters?

Originally I thought of using tau but the preds are pretty kick ass in cc and tau couldn't mimic that at all but then I changed directions twoards eldar which would consist of heavy customizing on an eldar Ulthwé strike force and then for tournament sake just play it as said force. .
Cut the heads a bit shorter so they're not so cone-headed and try to make them resemble a predator mask using green stuff. And for the minis that come w/o helments, try to use green stuff to get four mandibles on the face. Also using it to place the wrist blades and shoulder cannons.

Thats just a few ideas so far, tell me what you think of the whole concept and any input you have.

Oh and I forgot to mention another idea....
Since the preds like to flaunt their skull trophies and all, I could mix it up between puttin human and nid heads etc. on some of their shoulders or hanging on their chests like the preds will have.

My house mate made a predator for necromunda, he made it out of a culexus assassin body, dark eldar spikey bits and a load of green stuff, but no never seen a whole army of 'em. Also if your gonna have loads of heads you gotta have some tau ones in there, every one needs tau heads.

Yeah I think I'll be adding heads from every race. It'll show that the preds seek out their prey and hunt the deadliest sport (which would be all the different races). I'm askin the same thing on a gamesworkshop forum and theyre tellin me to use kroot with dark eldar bits.

The more I look at them though the more I like the incubi models, I'd just have to cut down some of their cone-like heads. For the ones with assault weapons i could make a makeshift shoulder cannon, they've already got spears, and a similar enough mask as the preds but no dredlocks, wrist blades. hm...

predator like army for 40k? ive seen a guard army that prides itself on collecting the skulls of their victims ( a la the predator films) but nothing closer than that

Sounds kewl. yea you could use kroot heads as the preds w/o helmets becuz of their dred locks. wrist blades DE have blades u could prolly green stuff into the wrist blades. I would like to see the special rules u give em. I feel the whole would be just a bunch of specialized troops. like tyranyd hunting preds and Human and SM hunters and wat not. but i would imagine high point cost.

I think I'd only come up with special rules when playing against friends, I want it to be a legal and official army, even just basing it off dark eldar or something. I don't know if I can do that though with all the customizing I'm going to do to it since theres the what-you-see-is-what-you-get rule.
