There is currently no option to make non-uniform banners for your personalized armies.
This image shows the standard banners by default. Also the same type of banners seen in DoW

After editing my own personal banner I found that it still wants to sit in the center square surrounded by the border with the colors of the army.
I found no way to make torn banners and guideons similar to the way the very rustic and barbaric Space Wolves have.
This is one example:

-Notice how the banner is all torn and it seems to have been made from a hide. Aside from the Wolves, Chaos and orks are also notorious for making their banners out of ripped clothes, hides, furs, and such. Regardless many crusader chapters are known for their banners being ripped and torn through the course of their many years of war.
-Would it be possible, that just like the -Badges- that the banners also have a Transperancy ability? That the banners no longer end up just being a symbol in the middle of a rectangular canvas?
-Right now really all you do with the banners is edit the center field or portion of it. Would be nice if the Entire banner could be editable. That would allow for more realistic war-torn banners and Primitive/Nomadic/barbaric banners (like what the Space Wolves have).
It would also be interesting if the Ork Waagh buildings randomly where choosen from a pool of say 3-4 buildings. When the player plops the structure down one of those 4 would randomly apear. The reason? It looks very uniform/generic to have 10 Waagh towers all looking the same with the same Waagh letters on the same wooden board. I know this is far out. But would have been a little bit of detail. Personally all I would recomend was that the same 3d mesh and animation used, just that the actual wooden/metal board on it was different for say 3 models. Then one of those 3 would randomly apear when the building is ploped down.
I am looking forward to game very much, regardless of any of these parts. It would sure add a little touch of detail to it and would further give the armies more personality as well as the later Ork suggestion, give them more of that random "Orky" feel.
regards!
