    Questions on tweaking - HW1

    1-I altered the class and salvage points on the Turanic Carrier and captured it, but it never comes back out of my mothership for me to use. How can I fix that?
    2-How can I make the Kadeshi multi-beam-frigates buildable by me without replacing other ships? (I noticed some modular access shortcuts.)
    3-What do you know about the Junkyard Dog?

    1. Not sure, if the ship is salvageable, it should come back out automatically...

    2. You can't. There's no adding of slots in HW--replacing an existing ship is the only way to get another ship in.

    3. I know that, from most accounts, it doesn't work so well if you try and put it in an existing slot, if that's what you mean. The only way to have it salvage is to replace a salvage corvette with it; and, if you do that, I don't think that the animation works, although I could be wrong.

    turanic carrier also has problems with res collectors. They often will not dock a 2nd time.

    The turanic carrier did salvage. I just didn't wait long enough for the M S to spit it out. Apparantly, it takes awhile longer to convert. Now a new problem: now that I have the two in my fleet, they don't build or launch. Editing its .ship file to make it look more like R1 mothership didn't help. From here in, it looks like it might be hardcoded. Hmmmm. Help please...........

    Captured carriers don't get the same abilities as the carriers you build. That's hard-coded, yeah. About all a salvaged Raider carrier is good for is fire support--but that's just about enough to make it worthwhile...

    If anyone is daring enough to try tampering with the hardcodes, please feel free to post here. I bet the foreign carriers have the same useability as the captured fuel pods.
    Anyway, what can I do to make the T Carrier line up with the other carriers in millitary Parade formation, not in the foriegn frigate section?

    err, hardcoded editing would require code dissemination, which is complicated, look over at the section where we're all talking about it, seeing as the source code has been released, your idea might well be possible, but only after a lot of editing

    btw, a downloadable is available to make the Kadeshi MBF available, as well as some other Kadeshi and Turanic ships from the old KvT mod (now defunct). http://www.hwmods.de was the last known location for the KvT mod. The MBF (which actually rotates) by me is at http://www.chadland.com/dp/mbfspin.zip
