how to download and install the demo from gamespot

One thing abut the installation. It sometimes stcuk. so when you're going to run the setup. Quit everything and don't touch a thing it'll hang a long by the 3th block

Okay, I got serious problems. First I try and get the add-on program by downloading something else right? A window pops up tells me that another windo asking for approval might pop up in a few minutes, and then disappears. Nothing else happens. And the mirror links you guys provided... well I'm not smart enough to figure them out.

Arrg! I got the installer downloaded from The Netherland server in 3dgamer but now a file is corrupted and it won't finish installing! Why couldn't you have put it on Fileplanet Relic? Why?!

Okay, I got it, went to the servers on Gamershell, sadly enough I had to download it from the Netherland server, depsite the fact that in the dead center of the US. ;P Anyway, wow, I love it!

This may sound corny, but i had to uninstall windows Service Pack 2 to get anything working right. I only did that at the request of my Broadband provider, as it was causing major issues with my downloads. I don't say to you all to do that, but check with your isp, as they may help too.

I downloaded the demo just fine from gamespot(using Opera ta boot). My problem is I can't get the darn thing to install. I have 1.3 gigs free on my system drive and over 10 free on the drive I plan to install it to.

When I run the downloaded file, it begins the install process then it freezes when it gets to "Configuring Windows Installer". I have watch my computer try to install it with Task Manager open and when it gets to that point the installation immediatly goes to "not responding".

I am at a loss of what to do about this. Any suggestions?

wait for the setup program to resume the installation.

i didnt have any problem dling the game but when i tried to install it, I got a message after it froze saying "1607: Unable able to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime" :blah:

Can anyone help me with my problem?

if it's any help for downloading without jumping through the inane hoops the big sites have put up, I used filemirrors to find a decent site with resumable downloads.

Aight thx alot seve ur info helped me out. I thought when it was copyng the folders... i thought it froze on me and just kept trying and trying but now i found out and the demo is fucking awesome!!! cant wait to get the game!!!!
