Problems paying AIFF-C files extracted with homesong.exe

Hey folks. I'm trying to have a listen to the music from Homeworld, but without much luck. I've used homesong.exe to extract the .AIF files from the hw_music.wxd and I've downloaded the Relic AIF-C plugin for Winamp, but whenever I add the extracted .AIF files to the play list, their duration shows as 0:00 and when I try to play them I get an error message which reads:

"Compressed AIFC files other than 4-bit IMA ADPCM are not supported."

I've been over numerous HW editing sites looking for answers (and I've had a browse on these forums) but with no luck. Suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    DVC.

Gosh, I should really write a replacement of homesong that pull info from the hw_music.wxh header file instead of making assumptions. Then, it would work with cataclsym correctly too.

The Relic Winamp plugin will ONLY play files with an extension of .AIFR. The files that get extracted using homesong.exe have an extension of .AIF which means that they are not recognised by the plugin.

The reason I know it's this is becuase the plugin doesn't recognise them as valid as thus shows the time as 0.00. If the bitrate was wrong it would still show times > 0.00 (if I recall correctly)

Try renaming the files to .AIFR and that should fix it
