    Failed to Initialize video card

now pops up whenever I try to play Dow. i got this same message after a few days of playing the demo, I had to re-install the demo for it to work. however now I have this problem again, and its with my full version, I have tried re-installation and it does not solve the problem.

This happens magically and without reason, one day it worked the next it didnt. The test of the video card in the settings works fine, I can see the lil space marine looking around.

Ive re-installed divx about 3 times, still nothing.

please help me as I would liek to continue playing this game.

OK, post a warnings.log please. A dxdiag.txt might be helpful as well.

dxdiag.txt. It's not detecting your video card properly.

If looks like it's trying to run in Windowed mode for some reason:
    1) Run the Graphics Options Tool, and make sure "Run in a window" isn't set.
    2) Delete any file in your Dawn of War directory called (something like) video_init.log.

In the dxdiag window, click on "save". All the info will be saved to a file called dxdiag.txt.

This happened to me after I turned graphics acceleration down a notch attempting to fix my freezing/unfreezing problem.

Right click desktop, properties, settings, advanced, adapter. Check to towards bottom of window for graphics acceleration slider and make sure it's slid to full. Try again.

No guarantee just my bit at helping.
